I never liked midrange hunter, and since huntertaker, that was the most hateful deck possible for me. I can't make a control hunter. I've been playing facehunter since Naxx (with no Undertaker and no Mad Scientist), and I even trade minions when I feel it is needed for ensuring a good position (or survival). Nowadays with all the braindead hunters out there, though I'm innocent and really different, I feel dirty, like I were playing the same almost-no-skilled deck of other hunters (sometimes EVEN the average face hunter requires skill, the problem is that it is just "sometimes"). I don't think I have to be blamed for the sins of another face hunters, I've been playing much smarter than them and never spammed emotes. Thank you.
No no nonono, hell no, even if u kill someone and did it painlessly that doesnt change the fact that u killed a person.
this is the kind of hypocritic thinking that makes the world what it is. Oh so u trade sometimes but that doesnt change the fact u played braindead hunter deck and ur not brain dead .literally the only thing u need to think about is how to spend out ur mana and aim at face snd pretend that the opponent's board doesnt exist and go face.
stop saying ur better than other face hunter coz ur not ur just another link in the face hunter union chain Thinking there so skilled and likes to make other feel sorry about themself just to fluff thier big ego.
I guess you did'nt get what I'm talking about. I actually tend to hate face hunter matchups because they use to be dumb as hell (I can often punish them for their stupidity, but when I can't it'squite frustrating). That's why I try to apply some skill there, in order to make a difference outside the core of retarded plays a common face hunter usually does, the pain of losing against something that dumb is real. I just wanted to post that with all these retarded hunters everywhere I almost feel retarded myself just by using a variant of that deck.
I would gladly try control if I had the cards (I usually play control or combo anyway). I find the normal way to play face hunter quite sick, that's why I avoid going face everytime (yes, pretty face anyway, otherwise it would'nt be "face", but less face and more place for skill is better, is'nt it?).
face hunter is face hunter i hate the deck its stupid and only childish brain dead people use it.
okay let me quote some things u typed.
"I never liked midrange hunter" = all clear in meaning, u hate the hunter variant that controls the board
"I've been playing facehunter since Naxx" = u played face hunter since i started the game which is a long long time ago.
" I even TRADE minions when I feel it is needed for ensuring a good position (or survival)" = every face hunter trade for survival and to clear threat that grow in value the longer they are on board.
conclusion: ur no better than the rest of them i say even worse thinking of being better than them when in truth u r even worse than them.
I'm having a really hard time enjoying this game anymore. Every deck on ladder that is competitive is basically a midrange deck that relies on playing minions on curve. Most games in fact are just two players playing a minion on curve, and eventually one either has an awkward or blank turn and the other guy wins. That, or the occasional boom bot or unstable portal rng that wins games. It's like, you're even vs a druid, and have the option to deal with boom. Oops, both boom bots hit your face for more than 2 damage, and suddenly, you're looking at a situation where you will die next turn and you happen to have 0 taunts or heals. And ofc he has the combo ready. Or vs mage. You've won the board, but then she unstables some huge bullshit next turn that makes all your earlier efforts mute. I just feel like a robot playing now, there's really so little control you can have over your ability to win, and there's literally no thinking required.
I'm affraid I'm not clear enough. Midrange, at least the ones I suffered, looks like a face hunter but has Boom, lions and some other cards instead of charge. They used to play as facetard as me. but with some minions bigger than usual.
I played facetard as a way to avoid the hunter plague at the moment, huntertaker, it was a worst one because I was'nt sure how to build the deck, but it was more aggro but less monsters. It's not really nice, but also not that bad.
With trading I even include "not so necessary minions" like usually happens with aggro minions and (not always) recruits, totems or healbots. Not just outo-targets like lethal-threatening or Jugglers.
I understand people to hate face hunter. But not all of us (at least not me) enjoy that. I explained that I don't like midrange because as far as I knew it it was an "aggroon steroids". Maybe if there had been no undertaker (and I had some more cards,I need Eaglehorn Bows) I would be more open-minded about them. I see facehunter, everytime, I know I ignore far less creatures creatures on the board than them, maybe I do it wrong, but I feel more peaceful doing so.
Nope mid range hunter retain board control and is a tempo while face dont.
Huntertaker also retain board control and is a more tempo deck.
everyone trade to keep that juggler alive i mean if u have a juggler and a webspinner abd the opponent has a clockwork gnome u will ram that webspinner into that 2/1 its not rocket since its value trading even other face hunter do it not just u.
Shut ur face if i were to pick which hunter to battle i would pick midrange coz they use freezing trap to keep the board while those face hunter just sits there and go face emote and be a bitch with explosive trap and not care about board state.
Got tired of trying to make my Drood a goldie because of the beloved face huntard... so I went back to my trusty Golden Gul'dan and Zoo their asses to oblivion. I am over 75% against the facers with zoo because they won't trade and you can out tempo them MUCH quicker. As for the rest of the ladder, I haven't lost yet because everyone else is trying to figure out how to beat the facers and just can't even come close to countering zoo. Maybe I have had good luck, maybe not. I have played zoo/hand since day 1, will continue to do so since every other deck is useless atm. I know shield warriors are a pain in the ass but I am not under 50% against them.. they are by far the biggest pain in my arse running zoo.
For the record, I am sick of playing zoo, like I have said, I have done it from the jump, but you do whatcha gotta do. I have a life and 2 jobs, I don't have time to be all innovative and create an archtype of my own. I stick with what I know, I tweak it here and there... and viola... the salt washes off!

i literally hate zoo not playing against it, that i dont mind but playing it myself. when i first started this game zoo was my only viable option and my first real deck. i played hundreds of games with it and i wouldnt play it again even if it has 100% win rate. id say it again if face hunter is a thing teching against them is so easy and they become a joke matchup. i got 3 ranks yesterday cause of face hunter as i consider them an almost free win. you can always copy something from the internet, you dont have to create your own decks to play. im waiting for the full BRM to be released to see if any new interesting deck will appear and spend my 3 k dust there. but if i was in your shoes i wouldnt play zoo if you i dont like it just to win
Any chance you could give me your decklist for zoo? I'm not an amazing zoo player but I'll take what I can get when it comes to beating face hunters.

Don't know what to do against mill. I have'nt won a single match against them (at least since blackrock). Don't matter what deck I use, they get the exact tools for keeping me off plaay. What do you do?
It does'nt help much that most of my decks are control, but seriously, one victory, against one kind of mill. Is that too much?

Don't put or keep any tech cards. Your deck should consist of minion with impactful battle cry and absolutely no tokens. And keep a reasonably low curve. Oh and they counter control decks because they are too slow and reactive. Good luck!~

Just try shaman with Al'Akir the Windlord combo (or use Doomhammer if you don't have him). The curve is low, and the extra draw is amazing in shaman.
Here because druid is badly in need of a nerf. Here I am, up by four cards against a druid towards the end of a game. I'm at 27 health, he's at 17. I have Alex on the board and a fiery war axe in hand, he has one boombot. All of a sudden, force of nature, savage roar, savage roar, I lose. I knew I was dead to that but I had no way to gain any more life or to clear the boombot. Nobody in their right mind can say that's fair. I dominate all game to lose to that fucking cheese. Here I am at almost full health, with an absolutely dominant board position (he'd already used his BGH so that wasn't a threat), but it just doesn't matter because this fucking combo is completely broken.

play druid then you will know druid is unplayble without the combo. every class has something "unfair". to use 2x roar he must have used innervate too and when you play vs a druid and you see hes prolonging some cards its the combo 100%. you left the boom bot, you should not leave minions on druid for obvious reasons. i won countless games in which my opponents didnt trade cause they thought that theres no way to lose with 30 life. but complaining about druid when 7/10 decks you face these days are zoo its kinda funny

He mentioned that he couldn't actually remove the minion. And druid is not in any way unplayable without the combo. Druid has the only consistent ramp cards (Wild Growth and Innervate), insane card draw (Ancient of Lore) and somewhat decent board clear (Starfall or Swipe). In fact, as the meta slows down, we might see more of the taunt-heavy ramp druid decks to counter the combo decks.

as long as you keep telling yourself that you will obviously not improve, too bad for you.
Yeah, except i've beaten multiple people in legend rank 50+. I'm at a point where the only thing stopping me from Legend rank is basically time and patience. Also, which part of getting killed by boom bot or unstable rng don't you understand? Get gud against rng you can't control? I thought this was the vent thread, not the place where people make auto assumption based on limited information (not to mention lack reading comprehension) and act like condescending douches.

You dont need to innervate with the Russian played imo. Although i agree that a druid without combo might end up being a bit weaker in the current meta than he is now, losing those games is really frustrating. Not nearly as much as vs facehunter but its frustrating.
You face 70% zoo? Which rank are you playing on?
im rank 10 and what i said in my post was that even if i have 2-3 minions on board if my opponent has a belcher in play and way more minions than me in a safe life zone lets say 25 life he wont trade cause he believes he must push to win and he has the upper hand. and when the next turn i use dream on belcher fon + roar or innervate double roar and he loses he still thinks it was luck and not his own mistake for not trading. that situation that guy described is very rare but it is possible if the game is prolonged long enough so the druid player will have these 4x cards combo. so instead of complaining maybe critisize your plays a bit more, (if you play this game seriously enough to get pissed by such things) cause for example i play mind control tech for a couple of days and no one plays around him. i stole ysera, tirion and won multiple games especially vs paladins who just have to hero power at the end of their turn in late game even if they get at 4 minions.

Druid right now is basically in a place where you lose if they have a single minion on the board towards the end of the game.
