Forget Leeroy, I just had a Pally drop a 9 attack Southsea Deckhand and buff it to 22 with windfury. So yeah, 44 to my face while just stalling the game and gaining back life...
I hate how games have become anticlimactic. You have a 15 turn game going back and forth and bam! OTK'd.
When it's just one class that can do it, ok fine. But now... I get OTK'd by half the classes.
Till the nerfs arrive, I'm using Imposing Anubisath + board clears as the best answer vs Buff Pally. It's awesome watching them hit themselves for 7 to get their buffs. Then throw in a Trapdoor Spider for bigger insult.
The current designers clearly live Paladin. Top tier consistently. Remember last expansion, Pally was top tier, but they added the aura cards to the core set out of nowhere… making the class even stronger.
Highlander decks are terrible in this meta because of Plague DK. It’s almost like the devs gave ZERO thought to having plagues and Reno in the same meta.
It's comical how genuinely brainless Blizzard is these days. you could hire randoms off the street and have them play a few hours of hearthstone to know what's healthy for the game and what isn't.
Glad more people finally seem to be catching on to how busted paladin is and has been for literally years now. It's been riding the top spot consistently in every expansion, it dodges nerfs, and they always release powerful new cards.
Listen to the last VS podcast, they have a pretty interesting take on it, backed up by data. If too long to listen, you have a summary of it on the competitive hearthstone reddit.
Concerning paladin's strengh, it is a pretty hard class to balance, as it is more directed towards being new player friendly. It is our mono-red archetype. But it is always like that, simple, straighforwards classes always appeals to the masses more as they are simpler to use. Also, at start of a new expansion, aggro decks are always the strongest, so don't worry, it will get fixed over time.
But it is true that, personnaly, I haven't found joy using Paladin since the old days of Anyfin Can Happen.
Paladins are busted. Thats why I used the OTK deck that absolutely trashes them, cause it doesn't care if they have 30 HP and 3 10/10 minions on board. Check it out: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1441235-18-3-otk-burst-shaman
Plus now there is no counter to Plague DK with Steamcleaner gone. Just ruins the whole Reno Highlander model. Genius
Blizzdevs hard forcing archetypes with stronger and stronger cards until it becomes overpowered?
that never happens
Team 5 prob hired all the Paladin fans... Im missing the days when Paladin was in bottom/trash tier

Remember that at least you'll have something that a paladin will never have parents that love you

Paladin was top tier at lower ranks, but now it is top tier at every rank. This is too much
