Like all other minisets, the cards are still available in general packs. Don't know why they don't do the same with this..
Hopfully this will be changed in the future, not gonna spent all my dust on all those DK rares and commons.
Anytime they offer you a fixed set of cards for a couple thousand gold, you should probably take them up on it. It's always a better deal than hoping to get the full set in random packs.
(And of course you should not craft them -- that would be madness when the gold cost is so tiny.)

I don't want to spend fucking arcane dust on fucking Glacial Advance.
Why not just buy the set for gold?
Yeah. He obviously decided to play on ladder with the death knight. In that case, buying the Path of Arthas set is a must.
Wait, I can purchase it with gold? Where?
I swear this game is getting more confusing to me each new monetisation practise appears (and no, I really ain't trying to ladder up with DK, if anything, ocasionally I get into duel stuff or something).

In the shop (duh). Keep in mind that by default Blizz is offering golden (money only) version and you need to change to non-golden manually (once you open golden versio in the shop there's button to the left).

Yeah, those are the steps MvonTzeskagrad needs to follow to purchase the Path of Arthas set with gold. Thanks a lot for your help! :)

Methinks it's a deliberate ploy in all honesty. I missed it entirely as well and had to save up the gold again to get it (which of course means I'll have less than I otherwise would have later on as I start saving as soon as my initial pack splurge is done.)
Hello
I noticed recently in my card collection that i am still missing common and rare cards for the DK class.
But when i open new packs i never get them, i just receive duplicates from other classes.
Is this normal or is it just me?
thanks
They might be cards from the Path of Arthas set, which cannot be obtained from packs for some reason.
That's a joke or something, right?

well that s why they make the discover cards discover all types of dk cards.. no need to buy the set, just spend some dust on 1-2 good cards
