They are everywhere on the ladder at the moment, Diamond 5 and below. Literally at least one out of every two games is against them. I have just played against 4 in a row.
Whilst I do sometimes beat them, each win usually feels lucky. They feel so over-turned at the moment. Harpoon Gun seems very strong for its cost, and somehow I always seem to be facing an endless stream of Mountain Bear from Revive Pet or other combinations that grind me down.
Note that this is not a salt thread. I accept that Hunters have been a bit lackluster in the past and deserve their time to shine. I just would like to know of the classes that perform well against them.
Paladins (all variations) were pretty strong against them before the patch and i would dare to guess that even with Cariel at 8 mana they should still be ok.
Control shaman with 2 x Hex. 14-2 vs Hunter in Diamond 5 - Legend . Tactic: Put as many minions as possible on the board early, ideally the piranhas, use the elementals to freeze face, Hex the bear or silence if you can lethal. Discover on the parrot to get the owl silence for the mama bear. Their highest win chance is to summon Krush and then 2x Revive Krush turn 7, very rare.
Big spell mage scams beast hunter aplenty too, big taunt drakes and random mass poly and poly-fish on big beasts wrecks revive pet, and even random mage secrets can be very annoying with the very simplistic hand they have.
Shamans permafreeze everything, and mine rogue just kills you turn 6-7.
yea theyre easy to play too. and silence doesnt do much cause u have to kill the taunt with many classes and then he can revive it. Paladin seems well against it and obviously sheep-frog classes.
I have since had some success with Mech Paladin, which I would say that I am slightly favored with.
However, there have been some really interesting suggestions. I completely forgot about Hex even being in the core set. If you put that on minions such as Mountain Bear then that would totally screw up their gameplan, which is basically to Revive Pet their big units and grind you down.

Everything.
this, big hunter is not very good against anything fast and anything value-oriented.
Shaman also has Lilypad Lurker which can be a fun inclusion in a deck running some elementals.

I'd be more worried about countering the mages instead, they're everywhere.
I beat them with big mage. They are beatable using most decks. Yeah sure they can high roll sometimes .
Mech paladin obliterates both beast and aggro beast hunters easilly.
