That’s actually not true. Genn and Baku were HOF’d after one year in rotation, so they definitely can rotate cards out early. I’m sure it’s embarrassing for them to do so though, so for Skull of Gul’dan I would expect a nerf before going that far. It’s not inherently broken as a mechanic the way Baku/Genn were.

Baku and Genn were a one time thing and shouldn't happen again. HoF is only for evergreen cards. Of course if something like Baku happens again then yesh but thise 2 card literally were sucking the life of the game cause every cards utility was only dependent if they were good in either odd or even decks.
HoF card outside of the classical and basic shouldn't have happened if they had a brain when making baku and genm and it won't happen again.
The Blade Dance nerf is cool, probably the most needed one. Now it's a lot harder for Demon Hunters to reliably keep the board clear.
The Shattershard Mystic nerf is okay, but I don't think was really necessary.
Dreadlord's Bite nerf bugs me. Was a good card, but I didn't think it was broken at all. Really reduces the power of non-aggro/Soul DH decks too. A 2 attack weapon on turn 3 is just weak.
Voracious Reader nerf is fair I guess.
Polkelt nerf is bizarre. I really hate when they nerf interesting neutral cards because they're a problem in ONE class.
And the Brann nerf is just completely strange. He probably had an astronomically high win rate when he's played on turn 7 or something, but he's a finisher card. He's supposed to.
The Polkelt nerf was to make it less attractive for aggro decks, fixing your curve when you run a fuckton of low mana stuff is mad consistency, but not every deck is willing to play a "does nothing when played" minion when its understated, specially aggro. Will probably see play in combo decks only from now on.
I think they should have just straight up killed Blade Dance, blade flurry style. Thats simply not something DH should have access to, ever. Very cowardly choice.
They killed Brann to force players to buy packs/spend dust on the new hunter cards, since hl hunter played nothing new. Thats the only explanation I can see for giving away 1600 dust like that, very weird i agree.
sadly, the nerf was useless. still able to counter, remove and kill with ZERRO cards in hand. he just needs to be "lucky" to draw a card draw. whih is likely --- always. the whole class is broken. the only theoretical hardcounter is USELESS against even the most noob decks.
Why are we still complaining about DH? I think it's a good class sure but even before the last set of nerfs I never really considered it to be "broken". I admit that Soulshard Lapidary and Blade Dance are a little problematic, but why spend so much time and energy complaining when it would be better spent figuring out how to counter those cards? Grow up already. Literally eat sand irl. Creating threads on this topic does literally nothing and wastes everybody's time.
Thank you blizzard for destroying Demon Hunter not only is shaman druid warlock paladin and priest more overpowered you Nerf a weak weapon and a library guy once again thanks. shaman has a weapon that turns a simple 1/1 into a 10/10 with taunt and divine shield that’s not over powered at all no way

Hey guys! I found the dh main!
Lol looks like it. "Nah! Dunt nerf muh broken deck, fam!" XDDD
On wild they just buitchered the poor highlander hunter that was tier 4 at best... The reader is a slight nerf to agro druid but buff to odd decks.
Ploket is still crazy good on priest.
Happy about the nerfs, got a total of 11k700 dust from nerfs! Probably i ll recraft reader and polket on golden (4800 dust) but still is a lot of free dust!

I actually think that skull can be considered around that level. It's perhaps the only can that can pull 15 face damage out on a top deck with no cards in hand (with chaos strikes aid). Otherwise it's only a puny 12 dmg or 10 w life steal for 6 mana ;). I don't think that the 3 mana weapon was that broken tbh. But being able to play it for free along with a 1 mana altruis and twin slice is. Especially if you you are a handless aggro player. The next year of cards will have to be kept weak enough so that DH can't slay you in turn 6 with skull. If that card leaves standard, DH will be easier to balance in both wild and standard.

No, because you don't necessarily draw Skull every game. Genn and Baku's effects went off every game. They were extremely centralizing and forced you to run decks with less cards. Meaning games were very, very similar. It made the meta *incredibly* stale.
They couldn't really nerf or change Genn or Baku either, was the other problem. While they can nerf skull very easily.
DH is okay so don't nerf it. Kill the Priest, I face 7/10 of them and they all have the same decks. THey dont even try and easily win. THey do nothing for the first 5 rounds and beat you with boardom.
Its like a clergy or Church everytime I play. Priests everywhere and when did priests start killing people or resurecting the dead. You got the wrong type of Priest in mind. They should change the name to "Flooksters" as calling it Priest is offensive to Christians.

If you must know, I play Shaman. I don't think I've even played more than 50 games with DH. I'm not fond of the class and don't like its playstyle, but at least I'm not out here complaining about its very existence. I just think it's a waste of time to complain about it at this level on a forum site. Some guy in the earlier comments was yelling "DIE!" over and over. I knew I was going to get crap for my comment that I made, but that was a low blow calling me a DH main. Don't lump me in with those people. I was simply stating that complaining gets you nowhere.

I mean discussing ways Blizzard can tune down stuff which seems overtuned isn't whining or a waste of time. Posts about DH being toxic or unbalancable or whatever are pointless, but that's different.

I wonder if they've ever considered buffing
Call of the VoidInvoke the Void for Shaman in Duels.
