What percentage of the people complaining, purchase bundles regularly? Just curious, because someone mentioned something about "customers" having the right to complain, and it made me chuckle a bit.
"Washrooms are for customers only"
Feels like people are complaining about there being no toilet paper when they don't even plan on buying a coffee.
for a a free to play game the player is the customer, even if it doesn't pay, and to make it willing to play, you must treat it correctly, this kind of monetization system is the wrong way to do it, cause this way you just kick your f2p players losing the chance for them to even consider to but something.
You wont either sell your coffee if go and puch your potential client in the face when he is staring at your cafe deciding if he will enter or not. Here is the same.

Sorry... The dictionary disagrees with you.
Sorry for the delay, i was busy.
And i congrat you, for having the basic definition on your side. As well i saw in the same line of definitions the proper name, consumer by the definition "an individual who is the end-user of the product/service offered by a business." in this case the free to play player, and yeah, the "free trial" of the battlepass directly recks free to play players, so, they are still rigth about complaning. Sorry bro, Im not critizecing the paid rewards of the battlepass, im going for the part that hurt non paid players, and that will eventually hurt blizzard by losing potential paid customers. Which by the way in case on stay like it is now without any improvement on thos resources for the f2p player will basically mean another X marc for blizzard who said in a AMA that this battlepas wouldn hurt the economy for F2P players. that remember, as a company they are trying to convice to buy something.
If a proposed change is leaked, it is absolutely smart to either encourage it if you would like to see it and discourage it if you would not. You shouting 'shut up' or 'quit the game then' just goes to show you have no reasonable argument to make or leg to stand on.
You talk of "reasonable argument" when you (EDIT: and that other guy) turned this whole thread into a one-man-show, in which you want to convince everyone that the Battle Pass is going to be the worst of the worst and inevitably ruins the game, and calling everyone a "shill" or "mouthpiece" who thinks it's a bit premature and infantile to pull out torches and pitchforks and call the game director a liar because "they always lie!!"?
The change isn't "leaked" either. It's a model that was presented in a survey. A survey intended for players to participate in. Not exactly something that was meant to be kept secret and out of public until it's "too late" for anyone to protest against it, if there even is a "too late" for that. And nothing other than your gut feeling and maybe your crystal ball confirms that the model is going to be the final version, or even the baseline for the final version of the new reward system.
The new system could be exactly as the model, it could be better, it could be even worse, it could also be something entirely different. You have no source whatsoever either. So, feel free to voice your concerns regarding a possible version of the Battle Pass as much as you want, but if you just want to push the narrative of "bli$$ard greedy, game dead!111" and shout down everyone with a slightly different view, I'd actually prefer if you shut up, instead of continuing this mess for another 2 pages. I don't care if you want to quit the game or not, but this is getting ridiculous.
What will happen with dust? I have round about 80k. Is it still possible to craft missing cards or it's gonna be... poof?
So far, nothing indicates or suggests that dust will be removed from the game, and it seems rather unlikely to me that, even if, it would disappear overnight without any kind of announcement.
Why do people who are moaning about 'mah gold' think Blizzard care about anyone apart from the people spending £200+ a year on the game? There will be enough of a hook in the battle pass to keep enough less vocal f2p players and low spenders happy so that the ladder still works and the 'whales' don't have to queue too long to get a game. Blizzard are not your friend or your local Games Workshop GM or a tiny kickstarter who need to build a player base. They are a billion dollar corporation who care very little about your player experience if you are not putting any money into the game, and crying about a battle pass system that they know already works for them and their competitors (i.e makes them millions, and in the case of Fortnite billions) is not going to change a single thing. Blizzard want your money, not the satisfaction of giving you a smug, self-righteous feeling when you've spent god knows how many hours grinding enough gold just to open 70 packs someone payed £45 for.
TL:DR - Blizzard do not care about you, they care about your money. Deal with it.

I’m a whale and I complain, not because I feel entitled but because this game relies on gambling, I’m addicted to it, and I don’t have Stockholm syndrome.

You play the game, you are a customer. Simple as that. "Washrooms are for customers", yeah great. The problem is this is what the owner can do and Blizzard as an owner willingly makes the game available for free. Do they have a right to make it p2p? Of course they do! But since they have profits from not doing so, every goddamn player is a customer and has equal rights.
Feeling entitled due to spending money on the game honestly makes ME chuckle (even though I spent my fair bit on their game(s)). It's just so low and immature.
And what 'rights' does anyone playing HS have, whale of f2p, apart from the right to whine about every decision Blizzard make? Seems to me the only rights we have is if we spend money and for some reason there is a problem with the transaction.

He used the word "rights" to begin with, which by itself is ridiculous in this context. The bottom line is he feels entitled and tries to express his feeling of superiority.

I said blizzard laid, because yeah, blizzard has lied in the past, i said this battelpass is the worst, because yes, they way bizzard is willing to aply it is terrible, but i also said that i wouldnt be a problem if this was an adition to the actual quest sytem, even if that means remove the 10 gold each 3 victories to keep in check the gold f2p win without capping it to 4k in 4 moths, and yeah, im aware that this is the first approach and it can change i even said it also a lot until the official announcement if there is one, but, i cant judge those changes until see them,, So yeah, you encourage players to share their opinion but just because i said this is a shit you dont like it because sudenly there is not complete info? i know it, i said it, but i cant react to where isnt there,
it caps most players gold to a half, do not asures you the extra 1250 gold, and modifies the reste of the free resources into unflexible ones (dellayed packs and cards in a point where you dont care about them) to force you to buy extra packs otherwise you wont have cards to play your decks since day 1, Yeah it gives you a skin, it cant be valued as gold + it happened in the past already giving for free old skins that people wanted. I already said it, but ok let me clarify, This is what was show out of the survey, i reacted, want me to react to a diferent battlepass?, show me the changed one, do you have it?, no, well then you will hear me calling this a terrible feature until blizzard features something better, then ill say it, or until blizzard show something worse, and ill say it aswell
Whilst I have no issues with people who want to play for free, it does annoy me that people comment on it so badly.
People like me are referred to as whales I guess, because since beta I have paid for every pre-order and bought enough packs to get the whole collection each time, usually with the ability to craft 4 or 5 gold legendaries I want. Basically people like me are why you guys can play for free. So if you enjoy this game the same way as us who pay for it do and have played it for so many years at very little cost, ask yourself, isn’t it now time you actually stop being so tight and pay at least something towards the game?
Yeah there are rich people sat at the top of the blizzard/activision tree, but there’s also thousands of staff they have to pay for in order to create content.
Its called Free to play game for a reason, and im also a reason for free players being able to play for free, only missing proerders from last 2 years and buying cheaper bundles here an there, i bougth skins and even after those to years i bougth the megabundle on scholomance., but yeah you are rigth, people isnt reach everywhere, and i know it, for that reason i criticize what it sopose to be a battle pass like the MGT one, where you can even can buy the battlepass for free if you play enough and get the gems, and aswell is aside the usual economy of the game giving you the option of ignore it and let the "whales" pay if they are willing to, Not a total replace of the economy system like TFT one where the only monetization system is the battlepass or some skins, the main diference beetween that battle pass and this one is the rewards on tft do not change the way you play but if your minions figth on a dirt scenario or on a spacebattleship. Here the rewards define how much will you be able to play in the long run.
Sure i would love people become afine with the idea of paying here and there. But in the ACTUAL STATE, of the battlepass is a bad idea, because you are not convicing anybody to buy something, you are forcing them, and the media of players will just see "hmm i battle pass i cant afford it ill open my free packs and go, oh look i can open just a half of the packs than before, just got a shitty legendary, i guess im fucked, facuk this game"
And again, im aware this can be improved or get worse. But until then ill judge it like it is. even as someone that has paid in the past, and wont pay in the future by any mean if the battle pass comes LIKE IT IS NOW, But if you want to pay anyway, is your money, like everyone's. But just because we have money it doesnt mean but models should be afforted when those can be better
Free to play is never truly intended to be free to play tho dude. Its a gimmick to draw people in knowing that 90% of people will pay for something. Or am I missing the trend over the past 10 years with these micro-transactions that are literally EVERYWHERE!
Yes but the desire to pay must rise naturally from the cosumer, not artificially because all they had 3 dyas ago isnt there anymore, and is now behind a paywall. Who wasnt willing to pay before will be even less after, and who couldnt afford it but maybe in the figure with a more stable situación, Will just give up and thats a customer blizzard wont have because if it was hard before, with this battlepass is even worse (yeah still can chance)
I aready said it the only thing the system nerds is not to replace actual quests system bit being implemented asidero it. Yes Hearthstone has microtransactions everywhere but allí those are extras, ,this one not and is more like the abusive mt system, and again the way ir is now with the info we have aviable
Edit, sorry for the weird wording on the first paragraph i'm on my mobile and it tries to correct in spanish
And what 'rights' does anyone playing HS have, whale of f2p, apart from the right to whine about every decision Blizzard make? Seems to me the only rights we have is if we spend money and for some reason there is a problem with the transaction.
As long as we don't break the law, we have the right to do absolutely anything we want. Does that answer your question?
I'm so tired of everybody whining about something, that doesn't even happened . Will a Battle Pass come to HS? Sure! Does anybody know exactly how it will look like? Absolutely not! So why the fuck is everybody bitching around?

Nothing in life comes for free!
I like the idea of pay something to get something more. But this new reward system give us less and in a really bad way.
For example, I want to open all my packs on the first day of the expansion, not some week "after" (edit).
They must be really careful with this new system or the game will die easily.
