Hello, I come to share a problem that happened to me in this new ranking system. I finished the April season on legend and I expected to receive the 11 bonus stars now in May, but I only received 10 as last month (April) where I finished the March season at rank 1. There was an error and I lost a bonus star in the process . It may not seem like much, but it is one star less in each game, and this difference is much more evident from diamond 5 to legend, where it takes 16 stars to advance to legend, and with 10 bonus stars you need to win 16 games, with 11 halves just 8 matches. This is very frustrating.
The 11 star bonus is given to top 1500 legend players. The rest gets 10 star bonus
The result that counts is the legend rank you finish the season, correctly? Is there an official article, or maybe the top 1500 players can confirm that the 11 stars start from that rank? 1500 rank seems reachable! + does it mean, you'll still get 2 stars for a win from Diamond 5 to Legend? 11 stars bonus should end when you reach Legend.? Thanks!
According to a Blizzard Q&A when the new system launched: "It depends on your current MMR and the rank you reached from your previous season, whichever gives a higher value. "
When you reached legend you'll get at least 10 stars, so your MMR needs to be very high to get to 11 stars. How much and how quickly the MMR changes is unknown, but you'd probably have to do well for more than one season to get to 11. However, it would (theoretically) also mean that you can get 11 stars even if you haven't reached legend at all. It's just rather unlikely.
It was possible last month to have 12 stars, which can no longer happen. Or at least it's no longer possible to have a star bonus on legend. Which either means that there's some room beyond an 11 star MMR, or the thresholds have been changed and it actually got harder to get that bonus.
If you want to keep (or improve) your rank, you eiher have to get a very high MMR, or grind one floor (5 ranks) without star bonus, unfortunately.
Believe this was changed from the moment of it being announced, to actual season end.My friend ended the season at dia 5 and got x9 star multiplier while I got x10 star multiplier from ending the season as ~440 legend.
Makes fine sense imo. Now you have star multiplier all the way to dia 5 as legend previous season, and not as dia 5 previous season.
Originally the 11 star bonus meant you would get 3x multiplier from dia 10 to dia 5. All multipliers would go away at dia 5.

11 star bonus is only given to players who managed to climb to high legend. I too finished among 10,000 and was given 10 stars as a result.
Seriously, I never read or heard about it, I thought it was a bug. Okay, thanks for the clarification.
Legend 500 and 10 Stars... :)

So, this is very wrong
