When they released KnC, they printed Psychic Scream, exactly the card Raza priest needed to become truly, completely oppressive. And it was already on the way toward being oppressive. Then they had to nerf it a month later because of that.
Now we are entering The Witchwood, with priest and warlock being the most powerful classes presently (or at least the most popular). So, naturally, Team 5 learned their lesson, and they will not give overpowered cards to these classes that are already really strong, right? Well ...
Lady in White for the priests to just go bonkers with. And Lord Godfrey, because control warlocks just really needed an even MORE powerful defile.
For serious, what are they thinking?

Wait to see all the cards, also Lady In White is a very fringe card that doesn't go into many decks, in fact it doesn't go into any current deck, and Lord Godfrey is very situational, most of the time he won't work well
I'm aware of the lead time. It's not "many months" though. The "final" versions are probably completed around the time the previous expansion releases. But my point is this: they don't seem to take any account at all for the current state of the meta when they approach a new expac.
Lord godfrey is also overrated, defile is good because it is cheap and you can easily set up the board for it to work. Godfrey is 7 mana, if nothing has 2 or less health good luck
Long games aren’t bad when the quests only require you to play X number of cards. Winning 5 games at 30 minutes each is a serious time investment, though. That’s why they’re making all the quests easier. I can dig it. I just don’t know why they increased the number of stars between low ranks. That seems counter-productive.

Barely any current decks survive the rotation, so the argument that it doesn't go into current decks is a non-argument. And the idea that Lord Godfrey is not completely insanely strong is very narrow-minded. Defile is possibly the best aoe in the game presently, and Godfrey is Defile on steroids.
That’s because team 5 was almost done with this expansion by the time KoFT was release. Atm they are finishing up on the third expansion for the year right now. We have been told plenty of times that Blizzard works two expansions in advance.
This, we know that are AT LEAST an expansion in advance (that is, WW was completed by the time K%C was released, probably even sooner). Blizzard can't seem to be able to predict the meta in the months before the release of an expansion (even less so taking into account nerfs). That is why they are giving very good card to classes that where weaker during the desing and development of this set. Still, we have only seen a small percentage of card for both priest and warlock, so it could be that the remaining cards for those classes aren't really that good.
When Witchwood comes, you know that quite a lot of powerful staple cards in Priest and Warlocks are going to leave as well right? And considering how Priest and Warlocks do not have good Classic Set cards, they sorta have to print out good cards for both classes every xpac to make them viable.
Lord godfrey is also overrated, defile is good because it is cheap and you can easily set up the board for it to work. Godfrey is 7 mana, if nothing has 2 or less health good luck
Lord Godfrey is a potential 7 mana Twisting Nether with a 4/4 body. No way is he going to be bad. Ever.

Control warlocks lose almost nothing from their arsenal. Priests do lose a lot, yes.
Well if you say that barely any decks survive the rotation, then your arguement that Lady In White is predetermined as OP is false, and while yes Defile is very strong it costs 2 mana, which means if there are no 1 health minions on the board you can use other cards to make defile work, Lord Godfrey however is 7 mana which means it's gonna be much harder if not almost impossible to combo other cards with him
the death of aggro is the death of hearthstone people dont want to play 40 min games!!
death of aggro ? lol. Its the most played , finally we have 2 control decks that actually have a chance against aggro noobs. Try play control with other classes then warlock/priest. You will loose more or less every game.
Also just as many others have mentioned above, Blizzard didn't know what was gonna be controling the meta when they designed Witchwood, and the next expansion, for all we know the next expansion can see very powerful Warlock and Priest cards as well

A) Lady in white is overrated as fuck
B) That is their design policy, deal with it
Did you just conclude that Lady in White is a good card?
You are arguing on false pretences.
