Its because the games are decided from turn 4 these days you, you lose massive tempo and health in the matter of seconds. If you want to continue, you have to pull of kind of miracle RNG trick to come back to the game.
Turn 4 is being generous depending on the match up sometimes the game is decided by turn 2. I will concede against Pirate Warrior, if I get a horrible draw and don't get some decent answers by turn 3 or I am playing a deck that has a really bad matchup against them. I will concede if my RNG is horrible and I go a few turns without making a play or if I don't get any bounce cards (can't for the life of me understand how every quest rogue I play gets 2x shadowstep and a brewmaster with a Swashburglar yet every time I try and run the deck my bounce cards never show up a lot of the reason I prefer Plant Rogue). If you fall to far behind and don't want to waste the time with the game or you know your deck won't produce an answer then why waste effort on a lost cause.

Simple answer, yes. However, the game has more swing turns then ever especially at high ranks: r5+. I personally won't continue concede until my health says 0.
I had an agro opponent friend me just to ask why I didn't concede T5 when he had lethal on board and kept me bouncing around 5hp the remainder of the game only for him to lose.
They actually expected me to CONCEDE and was upset I didn't which lead to their loss. That expectation pretty much sums it up.
That is instent karma right here. But really? Bm and expecting your opponent to concede? That's not cool.
(Good job on swing that game though)

Either you win by a mile or lose horribly without dealing damage to the opponent.
Exactly. Why waste your time watching your opponent play solitaire? The ONLY games I don't concede (if I'm not winning) are those rare games that actually end up being close.
I concede early a lot. I just can't be bothered to finish the game if I can't enjoy it. Back before Ungoro if I played Reno mage I would just insta concede against druid, even if I knew I was going to win, I can't bring myself to play such a tedious game.
I don't care about ranking up as much as the actual enjoyment of the game, it just not worth sitting through someone boring bullshit deck. I especially hate Hunter no matter how weak or strong they are in the meta.
I'm similar to you. I despise hunters hero power. It's a nightmare because even with a shit deck they can still win if you are playing the long game without any heals etc.
Conceding is the best thing you can do to save time and your sanity. Its bad enough to que into some dickhead pirate face deck or quest mage. Why add t your misery by "sticking it out" only to end up losing anyways but now youve also wasted precious moments of your life youll never get back. Que up another game and move on. This game is NOT setup at all for comebacks. Its purely tempo based for the most part and other than some control decks if you lose the board you lost the game. Or, if they hit their quest, youre probably done. In Wild mode you can just concede instantly to renolock and other decks like it that will rob you of a good half hour of your life. Dont be a sucker.
Ill give each game a *chance* but it isnt long before I say "fuck this" and just concede or quit the app altogether. Fuck you and your dooshbag quest. Fuck off with your infinite freeze & ice block. Fuck off with your perfect draw. Im out. If my quitting the app caues you to lose some enjoyment or waste your time then GOOD. We are even then because you playing a fucking jackoff deck caused me to lose enjoyment and waste time. Fair enough.
I dont think your win rate is that affected since conceding allows you to play mor games and and if you stick to more favorable matchups and dont waste time on hopeless games you'll probably climb faster. Ive managed to sit between ranks 5-10 in both game modes using my own decks and I concede early and often. So yeah - concede or quit the app if things arent going well. Easy decision.
That is a good way of saying it. Conceding save you time.
You speak everybody's language man.

The game is almost at a point where you should concede on the spot Rogue Quest insta loses to Hunter/Pirate Warrior. We have more polarized match-ups than ever before Rogue Quest can run double crawlers get them bounce them and still gets rofl stomped by turn 7.
I concede on turn one when I play a quest rogue in casual. It's just a frustrating waste of time if you're playing any experimental, moderately slow deck. And I'll sometimes concede a ranked Hunter game if my opponent stabilizes and my hand is basically empty.
why would i not concede if i have a slow start vs quest warr/rog and they complete their quest early its just impossible for most decks if you arent close to kill by then that you will ever get
Yes, I just auto concede against quest rogue because I don't want it to ruin my enjoyment. I just know I'm gonna lose if I don't play pirate warrior or that murloc shit (which I obviously don't because I hate THAT aggressive deck like pirate warrior and I hate murlocs because they are wacky). Quest rogue makes me wanna throw up, it is definitely the biggest cancer HS has ever seen since beta and I will most likely quit HS if they don't nerf it by the next expansion because I just can't enjoy anymore in HS and I believe that majority of people are in the same situation.

Same here. Plus I don't want Quest Rogues to have any fun at all. Anyone can build that deck if they have the quest, Blizzard needs to nerf it, and it just makes the game suck. I've cleared Rogue's whole board (5+ minions) the turn before they could pop off the quest itself. He still did over 20 damage to my face the next turn AFTER playing Crystal Cove the same turn. Almost OTK from hand, no skill, no strategy, no fun.

Agreed, Quest Rogue is the least skillful, most broken deck in the game. Blizzard obviously didn't understand how easy they were making it, judging by how they begged people to not judge it too early and promised to add more cards that would help it along... as if it needed that.
Trash does not deserve to be played. The same goes for any online game with a broken mechanic. I don't even rage quit, it's just like... "Oh, he won the game on turn 4. That sucks, hopefully I'll get to play Hearthstone next game."
Just today was plaing against a pirate warrior, i had two windwirld and some weak ass taunts, he had a 12/3 berserker and a south sea captain in play and like three cards in hand, turn five I draw ravaging goul.
You don't just concede when there is 0% chance to win. When you have like 1% chance it's still better to do and save your time rather than keep playing, lose anyway and proceed to become even more tilted.
It's not like losing games on ladder means jack or shit, let alone jack shit.
I really hate it when people concede just because the chances of a turnaround win arent high.... i never concede. Even if it is turn 4 and a rogue pops his quest or when my lifepool is down to 5 and less because my opponent only hit the face. In a competition needs to be a winner and a loser. So when i lose its sometimes frustrating, but thats a part of the game/life. Since i dont play fast decks, wanna have the chance to wreck my enemy. I wanna enjoy his "humiliation". I wanna show him how inferior he is to me. Sounds sadistic, i know.... but what is more sweet than overwhelming victory? A comeback. And maybe to see your opponent struggle against your gameplan.
I concede if I'm clearly dead next turn. If I *think* I'm going to die on my opponent's turn and they emote "well played" I will also instantly concede because I consider "well played" before lethal the height of BM and the sign of a socially retarded cock who doesn't deserve lethal. The devs should add autosquelch to the game and then at least I wouldn't do that. Win win for everyone but Brode and his coders hold the player base in too much contempt to add simple improvements like autosquelch. Not to mention a certain type of low IQ Blizzard fanboy who will argue against the need for autosquelch.
There would be less early conceding if the emote system and rope turn timer wasn't so open to toxic abuse and if there wasn't always a handful of OP decks making ladder a misery for those who don't lower themselves to play them. Quest Rogue, Secret Paladin, Taunt Warrior, pirate warrior etc. Poor game design is the reason for early concedes - blame Ben Brode : he's the idiot who's got a potentially good game in such a toxic place.
I don't mind when my opponent concedes early if it means I get the win quicker.
On the other end of it, I don't usually concede until they play a card that means its over for me. Even if the only cards remaining in my deck are prep and counterfeit coin. I WILL SEE THOSE CARDS!

completing a quest doesn't mean you won.. even on mage which TTKs you you can win if they don't have the combo pieces

Add un'goro zoolock to that list, it stomps on quest rogue. Went 10/0 on my climb to r5.
