Conceding is the best thing you can do to save time and your sanity.  Its bad enough to que into some dickhead pirate face deck or quest mage. Why add t your misery by "sticking it out" only to end up losing anyways but now youve also wasted precious moments of your life youll never get back.  Que up another game and move on.  This game is NOT setup at all for comebacks.  Its purely tempo based for the most part and other than some control decks if you lose the board you lost the game.  Or, if they hit their quest, youre probably done.  In Wild mode you can just concede instantly to renolock and other decks like it that will rob you of a good half hour of your life.  Dont be a sucker.

Ill give each game a *chance* but it isnt long before I say "fuck this" and just concede or quit the app altogether.  Fuck you and your dooshbag quest.  Fuck off with your infinite freeze & ice block.  Fuck off with your perfect draw.  Im out.  If my quitting the app caues you to lose some enjoyment or waste your time then GOOD.  We are even then because you playing a fucking jackoff deck caused me to lose enjoyment and waste time.  Fair enough.

I dont think your win rate is that affected since conceding allows you to play mor games and and if you stick to more favorable matchups and dont waste time on hopeless games you'll probably climb faster.  Ive managed to sit between ranks 5-10 in both game modes using my own decks and I concede early and often.  So yeah - concede or quit the app if things arent going well. Easy decision.

That is a good way of saying it. Conceding save you time.
    You speak everybody's language man.

Simple answer, yes. However, the game has more swing turns then ever especially at high ranks: r5+. I personally won't continue concede until my health says 0.

I had an agro opponent friend me just to ask why I didn't concede T5 when he had lethal on board and kept me bouncing around 5hp the remainder of the game only for him to lose.

They actually expected me to CONCEDE and was upset I didn't which lead to their loss. That expectation pretty much sums it up.

That is instent karma right here. But really? Bm and expecting your opponent to concede? That's not cool.
(Good job on swing that game though)

I don't know if it is just me, but I wanted to hear what others have experience with:

Are people conceding... Too early... Too regularly since the release of Ungoro?

I play a lot of quest decks, namingly quest hunter, quest warlock (Just recently) and quest durid. But I am noticing a *huge* trend where people concede instantly if I had pop my quest and I am not almost dead (Below 15 health). It happens every 2-3 games that I get to pop my quest and it is extremely annoying since the main reason I/anyone play quest decks is to enjoy the massive value snowball that the reward generates.

Thinking from their point of view, I realized that I am doing the same thing, especially with quest rogues. Every single time that quest rogue or taunt warrior pop their quest before me and is not almost dead (Or I am not already ahead on board), I would just concede knowing that even if I am at full health, I would never catchup with the tempo anymore. Even if my quest is just one unit away from popping, I am officially behind and could never recover. Even with Twisting Nether and that is not to mention the board clears durid and hunter got.

So is is a potential problem for quests? Where completing it tend to result in victories for the player, so the opponent just naturally concedes before the player gets to use the reward properly? Of cause it is still enjoyable when a showdown goes off between two quest decks who completed their quest just a turn apart, but that is still under the condition that both players were already struggling until that point.

I tried to make a cool deck . . . I really did. I wanted to make a discard zoolock except the only discard mechanics were 1 Doomguard, and 2 Cruel Dinomancer

The idea is, you start off with a crazy aggressive Zoo deck, and then in mid game you discard dinomancer and when you draw the second one, It is infinite value dreadsteed except it's a 5/5.

    There's a few problems with this idea however . . .

1.) I kill everyone before I ever get a chance to pull off a dinomancer combo.

2.) If I somehow lose the early game, like my opponent wild pyro coin Radiant Elemental Power Word Shield X2, I will die before I get the infinite value started, and the infinite value isn't good enough to win games by itself anyways :/

    So what do I do?

Take the cool part of my deck out, and just put in super aggressive cards like leeroy Jenkins and Soulfire. Tier 1 Zoolock :/ I'm a scrub again.

That's the struggle I'm talking about. Either win unsatisfied or lose unsatisfied.
I did get two games with my *New and improved recipe discard warlock* getting the dinomancer combo rolling but it was still not enough to win me a game (Got bursted). However, it is hella satisfying imagining how your opponent attempts to comprehend the infinite 5/5: By ignoring it.
I can't really give any constructive advices here but just go mad. If you actually want to climb, just build your regular old discard zoolock. If you want to be mad like me and try something stupid but surprisingly fun, discard the zoo aspect and throw in all the discard cards warlock has at their arsenal. You'll lose a lot if you do that, but the experience justifies the cause.

posted a message on The fun you can get from bad decks.

I opened up Clutchmother Zavas in the first day of Ungoro release and decided to hold onto it incase discard warlock become a thing. It didn't.

But after playing this week's tavern brawl with the warlock recipe, I made my choice of crafting Lakkari Sacrifice and other discard cards.

Discard warlock is the kind of deck that gives the player the most mood swings ever. Either you discard everything except Clutchmother Zavas and Silverware Golem or never live till the day you pop the quest. It's just devastating, lots of salt and mega tilty. But when I do, it is hella more fun than what you can get from 500 wins with any other meta decks.

The idea of wrecking that one unfortunately opponent with a terrible deck is exciting but satisfying. Just like how you gave your high school bully a middle finger when you get to be his boss years later. And just playing the meta decks with machine like motions that repeat every single game is just stale and time wasting. I play Hearthstone for fun and achievements, and not just from winning with a broken deck. But winning againest a broken deck with a out of meta deck.

However, this also made me realize how sad it is with the enjoyment I have with Hearthstone right now. When the most fun I can get is from discard RNG rolls. Netherless, this week's tavern brawl showed me that the worst decks might just give you more fun than any other decks in meta. Even if it means losing till rank 20.

As a f2p player, I had built a mock deck for dinnomancy (I have the dust to craft it. I just didn't put it in.). And never once I had a feeling where: "I really need dinnomancy right now." All of my games are won as a result from the pressure from steady shot later in the game, and I would have lost if it does not bypass taunts.Dinomancy is my most hyped up card, it is promising, but I just couldn't find any reason to put it in my deck.

Is there Emerald Hive Queen in your deck ? Most of the spells in my deck wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Emerald Hive Queen, especially Dinomancy.

I have a different list that doesn't have emerald hive queen and dinomancy, it works fine as well and it's way too soon to tell which one is the best midrange hunter deck, and I'll probably never know because i'll never have a big enough sample size.
I can only tell you Dinomancy is a viable card, but I can't tell you if it's going to be in the most powerful hunter deck, I personally don't care as long as it's good enough to climb the ladder.
If taunts or big minions are an issue, then I'll just add Deadly Shot or Kill Command
No, I don't have Emerald Hive Queen and I guess my mock deck is similar to the different list you have. The deck is just a zoo deck except cards like Stampede that allowed it to transition into a midrange deck. And it is very effective.
Btw I really enjoyed your... Investigation/screenshots/showcase of how you're doing with Dinomancy. Do you think you will create another thread just to organize and showcase it?

Yeah Dinomancy sucks.. Currently 5/1 with the deck, seems promising

Did you win because of Dinomancy every single match? Could you share your deck, please? Also, are you sure the decks you faced weren't crap?
Why do you ask ? If tictactucroc says something is good, then it's probably crap
Ok, sorry for that comment, I'm just trying to be nice and have a proper discussion. What is wrong with that?
It would have been a proper discussion without your first comment.
Still trying to find the best combination of cards, I replacedGolakka Crawler andInfested Wolf, currently trying Stubborn Gastropod and Nesting Roc. Basically you can mess around with these 4 card slots, and you can try to replace Snake Trap with another secret. Snipe is usually broken against quest rogue.
No, I didn't win because of dinomancy every game, and yes, my opponent's deck were decent. Well I think quest mage is trash and I faced one, but most people here think it's a legit and powerful deck.

Holy shit why are many people hyped about fucking Volanosaur, he already became 100 dust for me LUL

First new card of the set, first new card to show-off the Adapt mechanic and the first card ever we can use before the expansion actually launches. You can't be this ignorant, right?
So what? The whole expansion is coming out in a day or two. You guys must be really young.
It's good being young buddy. People like us can sometimes get excited over dumb and premature stuff. Real fun stuff when we just don't care what's next.

My first impression using this card: Winfury + Envolve membrane + Houndmaster in hand = 14 face damage to a priest who can't even remove the damn thing with Dragonfire Potion...

    Having a blast man!

posted a message on Rate my creations and show me yours

I'm not going to go over everything like you guys did but my own ways of rating a card: "If a fan creation looks legit (As if Hearthstone devs actually made them) its good." And I'm not bias based on the card art here.

Aphorrent Experiment: Is something that SHOULD be in Hearthstone when they introduced The Curator. It's just like joust, it's a mechanic, but they dident introduce support cards for this mechanic that was intended to support murloc/beast/dragon decks. It's a cycle in card design where cards interacts and supports each other in a radiational pattern rather than a linear one.

Fiery Maniac: Another aspect of good card design is card texts that does the same thing, but in different ways (I wrote this before zammE made his/her post and I'm dumb and didn't realize the card text context sooner and I'm not bother changing what I wrote.). This provides a more comprehensive deck building experience (Where two cards gives the exact same value but in different ways) instead of just plain value difference. And this card is a perfect example for poisonous cards such as... Stubborn Gastropod! So this card is actually a little over its mana cost. (If the card text was  "When this minion attacks another minion, deal one additional damage until that minion dies.")

And just for perpetuating this thread, here are my second time designed cards.

(It is highly debatable whether the last card, Ancient Remains should be 3 or 4 health. It is meant to trade at least one card unless your opponent doesn't attack it. 3 health means it only stalls one turn, 4 health means two turns and fits Verdant Longneck better.)
