Before I start, I did try to contact Support regarding this issue only to get errors, and I already tried to contact Support for other issues to no avail, so if anyone can bring this up to Blizzard's attention I will really appreciate it.
Hopefully this forum is not like the official Hearthstone forum because the official Hearthstone forum is driven by nothing but five-year-olds who think anyone that plays any deck other than a control deck is completely dumb and as long as someone does not agree with them that person is deemed to be always wrong despite his/her hard evidence and/or elaborate explanation. This is also why I decided to contact Support and not the forum because using the forum is completely pointless and it will rather prevent than allow myself from being heard. However, I am already losing hope because Reddit is like that as well.
So just a few days ago, Blizzard announced that if we play World of Warcraft and reach level 20 we get Lady Liadrin for free. What is wrong with that? Everything. The game itself is glitchy. The only way to level up quickly is quests and that alone is very frustrating. The worst part is having to reach the areas. To say World of Warcraft was the most frustrating experience I ever had would be far more of an understatement than anything else.
There are plenty of glitches in World of Warcraft that need to be fixed. The most excruciating glitch of all is the part where my character and her pet would deal no damage at all while taking constant damage from the monster. Every attack my character and my pet do would come off as "Evade." Sometimes my character's pet would not even move at all. Then, all of a sudden after a few stutters, I would see a large bunch of monsters grouped up on my character, resulting in immediate death. It would have been fine if this happened only once in a while, but it happens every time (I died four times in a row), and to clarify that this is not my own hardware's fault, I have been running a gaming computer that costs over $2,000 and a high-speed Hitron.
Game design is also a problem. The quest descriptions often mislead me to believe that I am supposed to be killing certain monsters just to solve a problem in the city or region. When I get there, however, I end up having to find these creatures rather than be ready to fight them. The frustrating part is the fact that it more often than not becomes a competition of who gets the kill first, and that would have been bad enough already, but the insult to injury is that half the time I get my kill and loot stolen by another player mid-fight and the other half the time I do all of the fighting but the kill and the loot goes to someone else. This poor game design gets even more blatant in bosses where everyone is grouped up on the boss and the problem is not the boss itself, but the other players that are going for the same kill. What is even more frustrating is that some of the quests that I am offered are plain impossible to do at my current level (at least they could have increased the minimum level). Only by playing at 04:00 in the morning I finally get to complete quests in peace because I am the only one in the area.
Having to constantly find the monsters is bad enough already, but at least the game could have been made so that I can get to these areas more easily, but no, the navigation system just had to be confusing enough so that I have to constantly look up video guides just to even figure out where I am supposed to go. The arrow is only on the minimap and it only shows the cardinal direction from my position, not the route I am actually supposed to be taking. I remember when I had to deliver something from Stormwind all the way to Loch Modan, and because the game did not tell me anything I actually ended up attempting to swim there only to realize my character could have died due to fatigue if I did not use my Hearthstone. Because of this I had to switch between the game and the guide just to figure out where I was actually supposed to be going. That is how bad the navigation system in World of Warcraft really is.
So overall, the only good thing that came from the World of Warcraft experience is the fact that my character got herself a gun. Due to the glitchy, frustrating, and confusing experience that I had, I really think Blizzard made a very dumb move when they brought up an incentive for Hearthstone players to play a clearly broken role-playing game. Something like this really deserves at worst two alternate Hearthstone heroes rather than one, but I really think this offer should just be removed completely. I find it hard to believe I managed to get my character to Level 20 at all.
What makes me cringe is that in World of Warcraft a female hunter can get guns and crossbows (and there are varieties) and yet in Hearthstone there is no such thing.

Sounds like you're in a zone that is (significantly) higher level than your character. An occasional evade here and there is normal, but CONSTANT evades? Only happens if you're under leveled for the zone you're in.

Yep. You're under leveled. With two exceptions: 1) group quests and 2) 'end zone' quests that you would get around the time you're leaving a particular zone, all quests in an area are level appropriate for that zone. Sure, certain quests can suck when there are a lot of players around, kill a particular unique spawn monster for example, but those quests are not that common.
Also, enemies are 'tagged' in the game by the player (or party) to first deal damage. If a monster's name (I think) and/or health are grayed out, it has been 'tagged' by someone who has dealt damage to it recently. Enemies get 'untagged' by dropping aggro and restoring to full health. If an enemy is 'tagged' they would be attacking another player. You CANNOT 'steal' someone's kill, period.

Uhh... what? There's a minimap and a zone map. If you're having a hard time navigating, then you're doing something wrong. Since last I played, they've improved quest tracking by highlighting in blue the area quest objectives are in. I just played to Lv6 on a Goblin, and my only grumble was the starter quests amounted to "Grab this yellow ?", "Go to this blue zone", "Go to the yellow !", "repeat". I didn't really explore the starting zone like I had with the Night Elf back when I played pre-Burning Crusade.

Not sure what game you're playing. If you're the first person to damage a creature, you get the credit and loot for the kill.
I know. That's what makes the experience even more frustrating. It's actually true that my kills and loot got stolen mid-fight. The point, though, is the competition going on between other players that really need to go (as in get removed).
Haven't seen those glitches. But quests are sometimes misleading. And apparently there is a traveling system with some sort wolves at the night elves area. But I didn't know so I walked a lot. That was not fun times >.< . Finding monsters was hard and didn't like the quest. It was too basic, like kill 7 bears and loot their fur etc. ANYWAY! Quested till lvl 15 then did 3 dungeon went to level 20 and uninstalled the game XD. I think it was worth it and hope there will be more hero skin quest like this but for different games like diablo 3 etc.
What makes me cringe is that in World of Warcraft a female hunter can get guns and crossbows (and there are varieties) and yet in Hearthstone there is no such thing.
I'm confused about why it makes you cringe that your female hunter can get a gun. I'm not sure why you posted this either. Nobody told you that you needed to play WoW, you sunk all of that time in even though you weren't enjoying it. Maybe you need to re-evaluate some things.
Sounds like you're in a zone that is (significantly) higher level than your character. An occasional evade here and there is normal, but CONSTANT evades? Only happens if you're under leveled for the zone you're in.
Loch Modan and Elwynn Forest. I never go to another zone unless I am told to due to a quest. Therefore there is no chance of me being underleveled. It happens on a Level 3 gnoll for crying out loud.
Yep. You're under leveled. There is a Loch Modan quest where I have to fight the Twilight Hammer. It turned out to be a Level 21 quest. I got ganged up and killed very easily while I was Level 19. Also, almost every quest had this kind of competition.
Yes, I kid you not, I tagged the enemy first but someone just jumped in and yanked the kill after a stutter. No joke. I am not kidding, other players did steal my kills. Word. Maybe it was a server issue, but the nameplate greyed out mid-fight. Yes, I was the first to attack. If what you were saying were true then I would have not made this rant.

Seriously? What did I just say? It does not show the route. It only shows whether the area is east or west of my location. It doesn't show how to reach the place, and I often end up blocked by mountains or cliffs. It's not that simple.
And I thought that WOW has been dumbed down to the point that anyone could play...man I was wrong.
The starting zones are linear, the quest objectives are shown in the map you automatically get skills for leveling up, mass loot, the game automatically equips bags for you, you dont need to train to use new weapons anymore and even in questing gear almost nothing can kill you 1v1,1v2 until at least level 20. I leveled my character with just quest rewards, never died and I think I eat like 3 times...
Also it's just a skin no one is obligating you to get it if you hate it so much.
If you did not enjoy Wow, just skip on the hero portrait, it is purely cosmetic anyway.
I never played Wow before and I was able to easily level up my character to 20, I died only once in a dungeon when I was left alone in the middle of a big fight. Other than that it was a piece of cake, it just takes time. Also the game suggest you where you should go so it is not that difficult to figure out. I run into a few bugs with quests, but it did not prevent me from reaching my goal.
Did you really need a cosmetic video game item that badly? Maybe you need to re-evaluate some things.
It's not the fact that my female hunter can get a gun. It's the fact that I can't equip a gun in Hearthstone.
I haven't met any of those issues you mentioned. The game has never glitched on me either. I played as an Orc Rogue to get myself Lady Liadrin. It seems you either don't know what you're doing, your connection or pc is laggy, or you're just unlucky.
Quests aren't the only way to level up. After a certain level you can do dungeons.
You can also level up by defeating minions, but this is a lot longer. Whoever first hits an enemy gets the loot and the experience.
A grayed enemy tag means someone is already engaged in battle with the enemy. You will not benefit from battling these.
Quests aren't that difficult to follow. "!" marks over an NPC character means a quest is available. A yellow "?" means you have an ongoing quest with the NPC or a completed quest to turn in. A gray "?" icon means you have multiple quests to turn in with an NPC.
Any accepted quest comes up on the widget underneath the Minimap on the right of your screen. If you want to keep track of your quests on the map you can simply right-click on a quest and click "track"....
....or you can bring up the map by pressing "M" and check the box that say "show all quests". You can choose which quest you want to keep track of.
The blue highlighted area on the map shows you where you can carry on your objective for the marked quests. The arrow pointing to your destination on the map leads to the quest you personally tracked last.
You won't deal damage to an enemy unless you target them. You can do so by right-clicking on an enemy minion. The easiest way is pressing the "TAB" key when they're in your sights.
Don't play if you're feeling forced to. The promotion isn't going away for an indefinite time and it's more fun to play at your own pace.
If you're experiencing lag, you might want to lower your PC settings as well as ensure nothing is wrong on your end.
You have to eat??? I didn't ate O.o Fatigue? WTF? O.o But, yes, i play some rpg like Diablo 2, Mu Online and others like Lionheart, Arcanum, etc. and the navigation system of wow was the more complex and the worst of all of them. I have some problems with the quests too. I picked a tauren, i was doing the quest of a group of goblins (i don't know where or what quest line, i only wanted to reach lvl 20) where i had to "unfreeze" some of them. It took a lot of time because there was like 20 persons doing that quest. I had some troubles too with a quest where i had to hunt like 20 deers to get some meat, the people didn't let me hunt them. I died in a quest where i was supossed to kill some nagas with a mortar, and I went to where they were and they killed me. I didn't saw the mortars, i only went to the blue zone...
Blizzard goes out of their way to give out free stuff through a little bit of cross-promoting and the only thing you have to show for is complaining? No matter what you think of hitting level 20 in WoW you in no way shape or form deserve this gift from Blizzard. Last time there was a cross-promotion between the two games I never saw anyone in the WoW forums complaining about how Hearthstone in order to get their Hearthsteed mount, rather they were rejoiced at the free reward. So ungrateful.

That goblin quest was a disaster, lol! That alone took me an hour. I skipped the deer quest because too many people were doing it at the same time. Best decision ever.
With the Naga quest, you're supposed to go atop the hill where the Giants are climbing, not onto the mine area. On the left there are cannons. You're supposed to use those cannons to bomb the Nagas.
Ive been playing WoW for about 8 years or so and ive never encountered those Problems So either Your playing a different game or your Unintelligible. WoW leveling was simplified So it could be as easy as possible so I have no idea whats going on.
And I thought that WOW has been dumbed down to the point that anyone could play...man I was wrong.
Agreed. I'm trying to read these posts with an open mind but I can't wrap my head around the idea that anything about WoW could be challenging. The game has been so simplified over the years that there is, quite literally, no complexity to the game unless you are doing pvp or high end pve. Level 20 for a portrait is basically a gimme. You can get that in less than a day easily. Hell it can be done in less than half a day if you have any MMO experience at all.
As far as the bugs go, I played WoW for years and ran into none of those issues. It's been a couple years since I played so I guess it is possible that Blizzard has completely lost their minds and broke a bunch of newbie zones but that seems incredibly out of character. For all the complaints about the design of Blizzard's games, they don't release bug filled software.
What makes me cringe is that in World of Warcraft a female hunter can get guns and crossbows (and there are varieties) and yet in Hearthstone there is no such thing.

Glaivezooka is pretty close to a gun ,I mean it is a bazooka that shoots glaives, you sort of equip a gun when using Quick Shotimo.
This is by far the most stupid thread i've ever seen on this site. You are complaining about the mechanics of a different game. Simple mechanics by the way which you are the only one in the world to fuck up. Maybe wow is just not for you.
Skip the Lady Liadrin reward, you are clearly not in the target group for it..
