Come on blizz, don't waste time on things we don't really need - give us tournament mode, is it so hard?
You have NO IDEA how hard it is. Designing something like this takes insane amount of work. They're not even sure how the tournament mode would look like and how it would work. It needs solid good design to it that everybody loves, but it's not easy to design that at all. Plus they have a huge team of people with different assignments. Not everybody is working on ONE thing. This was provably designed and built by the part of the team that focuses on new player experience.
Also as a side note: I love that your avatar pic is Mr. Scratch :D

That Blizzard's control hunter. Lel. 0 card draw except Azure Drake (what is just cycle, so..).
Control Hunter usually can work without a ton of card draw since there aren't many dead draws apart from Hunter's Mark. I'm not sure if that deck they posted works though...might try it out later for fun :)

I tried it- did not work. Added double acolyte for card draw but still suffered from heals.

Well then, you ofcourse have to have all the cards in the recipe. And im guessing there will be some epics and legendaries in there. But I agree with you, its a brand new cool feature.
Read up on the front page about it. Seems they have a 'sub' system where if you don't have a card they'll show you suggestions of what to put instead that you do have. So it works for both something for now and something to work towards as well.

Check out the newest "Well Met" podcast thtat actually had Blizzard as a guest. They actually addressed this.
Answer: it IS harder than it sounds. It's not about coding issues or whether they are willing to do it (they have officially said they were working on it since last year. It's the 'how'. I'd get into it but I'd derail the thread. Watch the podcast.
Sidenote: also within it, it suddested that they had separate teams working on seperate things. Meaning the folks who worked on recipes wouldn't hold back the folks working on Standard, or the expansion, or trying to get Tournament mode to happen.
I think this seems like a nice feature to get new players introduced to deck building, of course most people will understand that the suggested decks will not be the best decks possible so they wont go all out trying to craft those specific cards, but it will give them examples to spark their creativity without them having to go to a website in order to get that.

What is Hearthstone to you? A fun and semi-competitive game with wacky effects and crazy RNG outcomes or just a card game you wanna grind as many wins you can get as fast as possible in?

Well, I thought so too at first, but then Starcraft 2 got such feature in Legacy of the Void. They can at least create something that already exists on strivewire and battlefy - brackets, picking and banning, adding by btag and observer mode. It could be not fully automated but still, will be very helpful.
While it is kinda cool that they are trying to help new players, the decks they made are pretty damn bad from both a resource- AND a playability-point-of-view. A new player actually is not going to have Lock and Load or Malygos; if he had he would still get beat by a good standard deck consisting of only basic cards and end up with fun but mostly horrendous cards.
Could be a fun way to play with friends. Each choose a premade deck. Might be fun to test out some crappy lock and load deck if you knew your buddy was similarily handicapped. I would guess they'll give brand new decks each week with the new tavern brawl just to keep things fresh and fun.

Yeah, I think Lock and Load and Tracking kills it. I would not run those cards in a Control Deck. Control usually means having a very specific game plan and both those cards will alter the plan a lot depending on what happens. Also, I have no idea why they are running Alexstrasza there.

How long have you played this game? This is for new players. There are people out there who find HS in the google play store on their phone and have no idea what game it is and just want to try it out. This will help them.
Its not for people who played since the beta...
To help new players they need to expand tutorials, create some videos and just put more ingame hints. This is maybe fine but not helping new players understand how to construct a decent deck.

Try to look at the bright side folks.
I can definitely see doing this with a few of my friends who don't have collections like mine.
I wonder what type of recipes are they going to put on it. Would it be something that's meta viable like zoo, or something gimmicky that doesn't really work well.

People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.
I think this feature is something that will be expanded on further in the future. This is likely the the start to eventually being able to share deck builds with friends and such. Complaining about this new feature is stupid as it is likely just the first step toward much larger features in the future that will affect more than just new players. Larger features are typically released in pieces, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if this is only the first step towards a much larger plan for this capability.
i think this is a good idea for new players, but then the new players just complain that these recipe decks dont beat p2w decks.
and the cycle continues.
Well, it depends on how they implement them. If Blizzard is on top of their job, at least one deck of each class should be a Tier 3 or better deck, preferably a relatively cheap one. Something like zoo or aggro paladin, for example. Furthermore, they would update it every 1 or 2 months so it doesn't get too out of date. But......, I would be surprised if they go that far.

Well I'm terrible when it comes to deck building so I'm all for it! ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN!!!!
EDIT: Just saw what it was on the hearthpwn page and unfortunately it doesn't seem like it would help me since it's just for net decking bad decks :P
This isn't for a singler person on hearthpwn. You don't need it. You have hearthpwn.
New players don' thave hearthpwn, or templestorm, or ANYTHING. They just have whatever knowledge of the game they have.
I remember the old decks I made back then. This would be much better off both for starting decks and as an initial progression tool in what cards to aim for first. By the time you start going "Well these decks aren't that great" you've probably already found a net decking site anyway and don't need this system.
So this is to bridge the gap between "I don't know what to do" and "What do these websites say?"
It's not the only bridge to gap up, but it IS one gap that needs filling.
But ooh, I so wish they are willing to expand on it later.

Well, one of the rogue decks shown is a Miracle Rogue. It's viable enough to be used in tournaments. So there's hope.

unless they want to be the best they can be.

Dab
Seems like much ado about nothing or next to nothing. Blizzard, just make sure standard is good and don't let wild go completely to seed.

Good to see Blizzard isn't forgetting about the new players.
When I looked up "Ninjas" in Thesaurus.com, it said "Ninja's can't be found" Well played Ninjas, well played.

Inbuilt netdecking. Great.
You f'd up a perfectly good game encouraging creativity is what you did. Look at it, it's got anxiety.
