Well, yeah but what I was trying to say is (correct me if I'm wrong), the old gods are SO INCREDIBLY POWERFUL in WoW that they are not comparable. Illidan would be correct if it was like a 9-mana minion, but that's a difference that's neglectable. Even as 10 mana legendaries the old gods are too weak.
They would be Hearthstone cards of what we saw in WoW. Players in WoW have attacked C'thun+Yogg-saron already because they were imprisoned and weakened.
Yes, that's what I was saying earlier. I fought C'Thun before in WoW and it was just the eye, and I believe Yogg-Saron is just tentacles. So what I think is that they will be using limbs/body parts as cards, e.g.: Eye of C'Thun, Tentacles of Yogg-Saron. Or maybe some different wording.
It's going to be The Emerald Dream and it makes sense since it's been in high demand for ages with WoW and even suggested for Hearthstone. It's not Old Gods expansion which most seem to think it is even tho it's related and will be old god cards,

Blizzard isn't going to just make something happen because some people said they want it to happen. What evidence is there that would even make you think it's related to The Emerald Dream? Kind of a bold claim to make considering how much there is to back up the new expansion being about the old gods.
The only thing i find complete bullshit with hearthstone expansions is: releasing sets of 100-150 cards twice a year is fucking expensive, for those of us who don't have the time to farm gold everyday and resort to purchasing card packs and adventures to play current meta. Basically this means instead of paying $25-35 per expansion I'm basically going to be forking out $80 twice a year without a guarantee i will have every card in the set. Ontop of all of this, the exchange rates are horrible atm so eg. 60 packs which is the best deal is $85AUD.... 40 packs for $65 etc.
Im sure im going to get alot of hate for this but for an aussie, that's damn expensive man. thats almost half my rent for the week; put it that way.
Then instead of purchasing the new set of cards, instead, do 1 daily quest a day and save up the gold you earn currently to purchase more cards when it comes out? If you were to do 30 days worth of quests and save up, you can earn about 1,500 gold, which will get you about 75 of the new cards that are coming out. If you're interested in playing with the meta, a few matches a day would be fine for now?
I'm currently in a similar spot like you - it's not cheap to purchase packs in my place, because I'm a student, and I've got no time to play consistently with studies. That's why I'm saving up dust and gold early now so that I can get a boost when the new expansion comes out.
At the start of every expansion, the meta will be volatile as people experiment for strategies with currently existing cards, so I won't be too worried about needing every card in the set~ Get what you think will work and test it out when that happens!
I would have guessed something in direction Mount Hyal, includes more or less all of the shown cards except the faceless but in the Cataclysm Hyal there are enough clutists serving old gods... (Hyal after Deathwings Death with all leftovers from the Legion and Kultists...)
Afterall the last 2 expensions were ... pretty much "harmless" for/in the WoW Lore especially TGT, the tournament after everythings done, we will see if it is actually around something really "dangerous" and "savage".
New mechanic .... maybe somthing like minions with "hero power" ore anything else pay x mana minion does this or that or in a sacred space like the world tree spells that "stay" (edit: maybe a fate thing like mentioned) in the game, there are enough magic resources of differnt kinds there.
(Already posted this in another thread ... saw this one after that thought it would fit here too.)
I still think it won't be somethign actual "dangerous" except Naxxramas and Blackrock Mountin (Adventures) there were no real big "threats" involved in hs. GvG was just 2 volks fooling around and tgt .... no danger let just have fun here. Somethign around the old gods would go in a very different direction .... unless they make a silly/fun old god...
Nope , nope, and nope. You guys got it all wrong. Ben Brode puts out the bait and the peeps here fall hook line and sinker. It's Seas of Azeroth, mark my words.

It would be interesting if the card reveals got released in "sets" weekly, which tell the stories of the Old Gods, and the resistance that rose up against it. Similar to how LoE was structured in weeks and revealed the story of you attaining the Staff. It's definitely an idea that I'll keep in mind if I ever custom-design my own set
It might've been answered 100 times or more, but I havn't really found anything about - do we know if it's an adventure or an expansion :) ? cheers
I think FAQ states that from now on every year there will be 2 expansions and 1 adventure. Also it states adventures will be on summers expansions will be at start and end of the year.

I don't hate you, but I think your expectations are unrealistic.
In most free-to-play games, you get only the minimally playable game for free, not the full-featured product. You can improve your experience immediately by paying cash, or slowly by investing time.
If you cannot afford either money or time, you cannot reasonably expect to get beyond the barest bones of the game. That's just not how anything in this world works.
Specifically in your case, I have to wonder why you want more cards if you don't even have time to finish your quests. If you don't play enough to collect gold, you don't play enough to need a lot of new cards.

old gods now more confirmed than before.
Well it could be shortened to WOG, I suppose. Or OG.
WotOG? WOG?

I have an idea for this expansion, a new mechanic called WHISPER.
It is like: when this minion enters the board make a character do something.

...There is just no way that happens...
(It happens)
Mark my words people.
Pirates on an Island. I can see it now.
"We've lost our boat, help us find our boat!"
"There's a lot to see and do on this island, but we want off it!"
I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
