One of my favourite decks right now is my rat king deck. It started out with stuff like stormwind piper and rodent nest as well, but I ended up cutting them because they were too clunky and didn't have as much impact as I'd have liked.
That said, with the addition of doggie biscuit, maybe these cards could find a place here.
My only other thought is maybe try to fit in a couple of resizing pouches. Being able to reliably get two more devouring swarms is my go-to plan with decks like this. Get more rat kings, get more wolpertingers, stack up that value :)
The Rodent Nest is actually a card that's been working decently for me. And I think it's going to be a lot better once we have Blastfisher.
The biggest thing that bugs me is the anti-synergy with mule and the "draw a card and buff it" cards. So frustrating.
Tell me about it - I guess the sequence is what makes it not work the way we'd like to. Draw -> mule makes copy -> buff drawn card. >_>
I guess that's the reason why Warsong Wrangler's effect does work with mule, because the copy of the mule is created before the buff is applied to all mules.
At any rate, I'm definitely interested in trying out blastfisher as well, so I think you're probably right to keep the rodent nest here. More rats, more pew pew :)
Since getting a chance to actually test drive my updated list on ladder, it's been going well. I'm not convinced that Doggie Biscuit is actually necessary here... I used to like Ramming Mount, but also Mystery Winner for flexibility is good too...
Defias Blastfisher is easily MVP right now, though. If the opponent ignores any of the 1/1s, (or can't clear the 5/5s) this guy just comes in and cleans up. Feels great.

How is your experience so far?
I am facing mostly quest mages, and feel the deck is terrible against them.
When facing a minion based deck though the deck seems quite decent. I run Monstrous Parrot in combination with Rodent Nest on curve, or to copy The Rat King himself. I still feel like the deck is missing some fuel though, most of the time you just end up with a full board of tiny 1/1's

I think that's why I really like the addition of Defias Blastfisher. It gives you immediate damage and/or board clearing for having all those 1/1s.
Obviously, any minion based deck is going to suffer against quest mage, but there are a lot of minion based decks out there now, I think it's less appropriate to tech cards for mage these days, but it may depend on your rank and time of day playing.
Updated my list. I tried to keep the curve as low as possible. Doggie Biscuit is just good with rats or the raptor. The tradeable effect is too hard to use.
Toying around with this list. Not sure I love it yet, but I... like it.
Looks good on paper.

Yeah I cut Mule, I think cobra is better.

Also, I was curious about Monstrous Parrot, does it just put a dormant The Rat King on the board?

Deck honestly feels pretty great to me.
