It's certainly not an effect that you can put at the center of a deck, but hey, Dire Mole found a way into Hunter decks before.
I hate 1 mana 1-3 minions.
I think this card is going to be terrible due to Hunters inability to draw multiple cards. Drawing a 1 cost minon and having an empty hand feels bad even if that 1 cost is now an 8/8
Since The Marsh Queen already exists, it makes a deck like this perfect, especially since you can use cards like Prince Keleseth,Animated Broomstick, and Shan'do Wildclaw to help with deck buffing.
Who knows, it may be even viable to run Guardian Animals if the Sunscale Raptors get big enough.
So, permament here means that buff is maintained when copy is shuffled to deck, right? I wonder if when shuffled to deck by any other effect, like Madam Goya it keeps effect? Or maybe only if copied, like with Dire Frenzy. Furthermore, maybe it works in a way that buff is simply maintained when added to previous 'areas', like Board->Deck, Hand->Deck, Graveyard->Board? Or maybe it is just simplified wording of 'maintained when it triggers its Frenzy'? I'll surely have to find out, I will get 9 new deckslots anyway, so I won't even need to remve any odf my decks (what I will probably do anyway, because of big changes in standard).
Ignore this
very slow (and clunky) Poggo Hopper effect,
but stats and beast tag makes this good enough.
1/3 beast that costs 1 is already good.
Play this turn 1 and it already is very likely to trigger, giving you a 1 mana 3/4 which is solid enough.
I think this will be great, we've seen even textless 1/3 beasts for 1 mana being played before.
is this nuts?
I actually thought it says battle cry.. looks a bit worse in my eyes now :D
Don't let the funky card text distract you from the fact that this is a 1/3 beast that costs (1). That's already good!
I don't get the point of including the word "permanent" here. We don't see it on Dire Frenzy, for example. What purpose does it serve? Just to prevent the shuffled Sunscale Raptor from having its stats reduced by the opponent (seems like a very niche scenario)?
My best guess is that the newly shuffled raptors, in addition to having +2/+1, also adopt all of the +2/+1s from the Raptor that created it. So you play your 1/3 raptor, it shuffles a 3/4 raptor, then THAT shuffles a 5/5 raptor, etc.
I was thinking the same thing, but the wording really isn't clear on that being the case which is a shame.
It kind of looks like each one you play(buffed or not) would just shuffle one base level 3/4 into the deck. Sort of like dire frenzy.
The only difference really would be if you used dire frenzy on a 3/4 (so, at this point you played one raptor, and drew and played the shuffled one), it would not "dire frenzy" 3 total base level minions, it should do 6/7's.
If you played the 6/7, and triggered its frenzy, it would shuffle in a 3/4 I would think, because it just says "a sunscale raptor" not necessarily anything based off of this one.
I hope I'm wrong but I think it would be too strong otherwise.
I thought of that, but the wording doesn't work though. As currently worded, the buff only applies to the specific Raptor that was shuffled into your deck, not all future Raptors.
It's possible it modifies the base card to be a 3/4? Then it would truly be permanent. Like Rattlegore and corrupt cards?
If that’s the case, it could snowball with more beast draw / buff (in addition to Scavenger’s Ingenuity)
I think that's what they mean. The card itself is upgraded from a 1/3 to a 3/4. If it's silenced, it remains 3/4 but has no frenzy.
If your card is silenced or returned to hand it keeps the base stats and wont reset to a 1 - 3
would be strong but only if we get a card like: "for the rest of your game your 1 mana cost beasts draw a card"
