So, Breath plus: 4-mana deal two, 5-mana deal one and to 7+ mana cards. I'm not saying its barren, but it's underwhelming compared to priests of the past. I agree with OP that the class could use a reasonable board clear that doesn't require you to wait until two turns after DH kills you.

When you lose a game after playing 30 cards that you didn't plan to from the begining, how the hell you can learn from it, how you improve your game plans when all your wins are given by random extra cards ????????????????????????
i ll tell you, you just never get better, you rely on discover or steal mecganics, so the answwr to OP question is

Maybe priest players shouldn't need to use another class AOE if they had good AOE in their sets LOL. No its not that im coming just now from a game like this. Its what i experience in all my games against priest. And its not only AOE's the problem.

I am almost sure Bllizard designed the class this way to make people ''hate'' it. My reference to Lich King is not random, i just see clearly that we talk about a class that fullfill its purpose only by being annoying.

Sorry then if I did not understand the reference. Your supposed hatred of a priest has sounded very convincing (at least it has convinced me) so you have embroidered that role. I'm sick of hearing people crying for priests when they haven't been a tier 1 class for a long time, hardly even a tier 2 class.

I admire the ambition but making it work in reality is another thing. Power word shield was just an enabler at 3 mana. Playing this at 5 mana is 'play a big minion with 1 dmg to all and end turn'.

This used to be the case. I rarely go against priest from 5-1 because of what I can only imagine is the same problems i've had. It's fine if this is just not priests expansion, I can accept that but I hope next expansion there is something that synergises with the idea of priest keeping up and clearing minions because at the moment it is seriously lacking. Try it.
Hopefully new Priest board clear coming in next expansion or mini set. They are some of the most creative cards Blizzard makes.

Honestly, I thought Soul Mirror was a very cool and interestingly designed card for priest. It also fits the priest identity of "stealing" your opponent's stuff.
Albeit a 7 mana card and a legendary, so... not consistent.
Btw @ people who don’t understand why Priest needs removal, it’s because their card and hero power design forces them into a reactive, value-oriented control play style. They do not have the capabilities to play burn/aggro, they don’t have any OTK combos in standard, and board-based aggro/tempo is just not cutting it in the era of heroes stacking damage and attacking your face. That said, I am quite happy with Priest’s current removal options, the class is just unfortunately useless because it isn’t particularly good at doing anything that wins games. Rogue for example has equal or better value generation than Priest, while having a proactive game plan with big threats like Edwin and Questing, and doesn’t just rely on grinding its opponent out of stuff (although it can play that role against aggressive decks). So Priest is forced to play a value game in a world where most other classes can out-value AND out-pressure it, or just kill it with a OTK since it can’t reliably go above 30 life. Priest doesn’t need more board control tools, it needs the means to control alternative win conditions, and a win condition of its own.

We have had these cards in the past. Im not asking for anything new or more powerful than we have had previously.
