There's a reason Blizzard invented their own in-universe holiday. 'New content' is very hard to implement, especially when they don't know which direction they're going to take it.

posted a message on Help improving this Priest Deck?

Pain is a matter of preference. I like Thoughtseal a LOT because it's a guaranteed Force of Nature + Savage Roar combo (kappa), and other times it is simply a better Arcane Intellect, as you don't remove cards from your deck. I always, always run two deaths because you just never know. Also, take out your Velen's Chosen and put in Ragnaros. This deck wins due to being able to slam down legend after legend, and you need as many as you have. I'd try to squeeze in a Silence, but that's just me.

posted a message on Death Knight Class Concept [TGT Complete]

Make them not secrets, but a new thing, keyword 'Rune:'. This way you don't have your secretkeeper stupidity. Or you could make them discard all other runes when you play them, so as to make the hero power a choice, or just put them into play. Ebon champion seems cool, maybe make him a 3/6 with 'Empower: Gain +2 health.' or something like that. That mechanic needs more use. Also, would Ebon Champion take six damage if the opponent playsWhirlwind with five Grim Patrons, and none of it goes to the patrons? If so, I like this class a lot more :P.

With a paragraph of critique out of the way, GREAT JOB! I like this concept a LOT. Looking forward to more cards!

Summer vacation just started for me (WOOO!) so I'll probably be able to soak a lot more time into HS. I'll probably use control warrior, oil rogue, and control hunter. If I find a fun and for some reason competitive deck (cough 5 mana+ minions only ramp druid cough), I'll use casual, and that'll take precedence over my climb (cause the game's about having fun right?).

I actually came up with a similar idea not too long ago called the Golden Cho Challenge. Your goal: Create a deck under 1600 dust (wings of naxx/brm cost 200 dust apiece). Decks are scored by neutral players who didn't participate (judges) by playing in ranked, and your score is equal to

    (wins/losses)/rank = score

Lowest score wins. Each 'round' has a different class. Certain archetypes are excluded (cough face hunter patron warrior cough) to encourage creativity.

    Forcing them to concede.

Play a deck with everything that restores health. Now, play it with brewmasters. Now, give it shadowstep. Now, give it Emperor Tharissan. Now, give it the wonkiest combo that should never really work. Now, play a game and do nothing except restore health and play Emperor at ten cards. Meanest way ever.

I think we may need to get rid of Nerubian Egg and Twisting Nether. Just sayin'.

Tips for Handlock: Twisting Nether (or some sort of complete board clear, for Tempo Mage), Hellfire (for patron warrior), and Annoy-o-Tron (this card is so broken against face hunter it's not even fair)

posted a message on Is Heroes of the Storm worth the time?

In Hearthstone there are three main resources, tempo, hand power, and health. Surprisingly, it doesn't differ all that much in HotS (obviously hand power is different, changed into team level). However, in Hearthstone, you have almost unlimited (90 seconds is more than enough) time to choose your play, but in HotS you have to take the time you take planning into account. Certain characters are good at one of these, or are just plain weird (like how Warlock in HS can turn health into hand power, or how Abathur in HotS (until they patch/patched it) can destroy the enemy's health/core without regard to tempo). The main differences are that your team shares your resources, and that in lategame, tempo doesn't matter much at all. I can backdoor your core when it has low health while you do a raid on my fort which will surely kill my core, and not really care. Also, unlocking Heroes is a pain in the ass. You're better off figuring out how to play assassin, warrior, and support instead of each character individually. One last thing, a deck in Hearthstone that is built to just maintain tempo and win with no contingency (sound like the first deck you made?) can't really perform well consistently. You need a game plan, and a lot of HotS and HS characters provide one. However, the easiest to play are also the ones that fit the 'maintain tempo and win' plan (this is why Raynor and midrange Shaman aren't the best).

TL;DR: HotS is surprisingly similar to Hearthstone, but there are a few things you need to understand before you can really start winning matches. The biggest mistake you can make is to try to win with a simple character, as he doesn't have the tools to save himself if things go wrong.

I find it amazing and fun. It's an instant board wipe and it makes face hunter cry (always a good thing, right?), and it's tons of fun which is what the game is about anyway, right? If you need to not discard your hand, play the cards in your hand.
