"As part of ongoing communication with the WoW developers, it has been agreed that Hearthstone is now the official source of WoW lore. We hope you look forward to seeing Ragnaros, Lightlord in Legion!"
Hooray! It's a druid weapon! You'd think with their attack gain theme, they would have some bad weapons at least. That being said, this is a card I made mostly for it's flavor, but it also has some glaring weaknesses, like it's low attack compared to the value Harrison Jones gets from it. That being said, it can snowball fast if you can't deal with a few 3/3s, which you should be able to at turn 6.
EDIT: it occurs to me that I should say one last thing: Raging Worgen
The obvious downside being that it makes your hero-power essentially only gain 1 armor while you have this up, but I feel that that slight downside is just the right amount of compensation for a card that is a little bit more that you'd expect out of a 3-mana weapon.
My submission is a shaman weapon, simple yet flavorful, the idea behind it is a shaman binds an elemental to a weapon to increase its strength, then when the weapon breaks the elemental is released from its bonds to the weapon. If there's a reason you didn't up-vote it I'd love to know about in in the discussion thread.
My submision is spell book for priest ... i like interactions between cards and deathrattles, so i applied both :) Weapon starts with 3 durability and uses one right away on battlecry, leaving 2 possible ressurections.
-balance issues: iv had the weapon on 8 mana first, but decided to go for 7 mana due to "easy" counter by ooze/harison, silence, poly/hex, BGH, not attacking egg (wait 2 turns to get new phoenix) etc. ;-)
/edit: "(Note that we're after just a Weapon, so no weapon-interacting minions such as Acidic Swamp Ooze or Spiteful Smith please)" ... added after i posted my submision, so if u feel like it breaks the rules of this week contest, feel free to exclude me ;-)
Rogue weapon. Basically Imp Master but as a weapon and with Pirate synergy. Really great with Ship's Cannon! And you can stealth your One-eyed Cheat every turn!!!! The downside to the weapon is that it eventually dies even if you don't use it, so buffing it is risky.
AotV is a Paladin weapon that is actually a shield. You cannot attack with it, but it will deal damage to characters that attack you. And when you are attacked, it will lose a durability.
Keep in mind that it is a huge downside to not be able to instantly attack and remove a creature, and that the enemy decides who gets hit on their terms.
Spells, Hunter's Hero Power, Mage's Hero Power, and Priest's Hero Power (Soulprist or Shadowform) will not activate the shield. Which means this doesn't protect you from spells or direct damage hero powers. Which means Druid and Rogue will get damaged if they hit your face.
Gives the priest something useful on turn 2 for early board control.
Makes the Northshire Cleric a much better early game option since you can now kill 2/3 minions in combination with this weapon, or defend your cleric from 3/2 minions with it.
The free Mind Vision is to make a fun and informative card viable by attaching it to a good early game option. You can then use your Mind Vision to have an idea of your opponent's mulligan, or to copy a strong card late in the game.
I think this would definitely be in some decks, it is like a holy smite with the downside that it cannot go through taunts and that you take damage when attacking but you get a free Mind Vision.

Here's what Unbound Elemental looks like if you don't know.
Edit: updated in case it was unclear that overload(2) isn't part of the deathrattle
Edit(2): increased overload to (3)

Just a basic Warrior Weapon. And yes, I know that's not what it looks like in-game.
A Neutral weapon, compliments of the Darkmoon Faire:
Tempered Glass Blade. Has situational usefulness against agro. Can also be used as a cheap finisher.
Could help against aggro and induce tempo loss due to bad trades:
