Competition #25: HS Top
This week's theme comes courtesy of Sinthuja, whose "Nexus Stalker" card put all other competitors in their place at the conclusion of our "Places, People!" competition one week ago. This week's competition, though, may get a little hairier...
Entry Restrictions: Your card must be a Minion, and that minion must be depicted in the card's artwork as having a beard. (We're flexible about what constitutes a real beard, so Savannah Highmane, Ancient of War, and Mountain Giant all have things that are beard-like enough to qualify. We will not, though, abide by face-tentacles. Sorry, Draenei.) Your minions must include an effect that triggers as a result of the minion being damaged. Enrage effects are an obvious example, but we'll also accept effect like those from Acolyte of Pain, Frothing Berserker, and Grim Patron.
UPDATE: It has come to our attention that many folks don't understand how Enrage works. Enrage is a persistent effect, active continuously while a minion is damaged. It is NOT suitable or sensical for instantaneous effects. For example "Enrage: Draw a card." just doesn't function. It is as logical as a spell that said, for example, "Secret: Deal 2 damage.". That doesn't make any sense, it has no trigger, that's not how Secrets are formatted, that card doesn't work. This being the case, incorrect Enrage effects will be disqualified. If you are confused and need clarification about whether your card makes sense, please don't hesitate to ask folks in the Discussion Topic.
Competition Rules
We, the Fan Creation Forum Moderators, may edit and/or disqualify your entry if you neglect the competition's rules, so please read carefully. These measures are designed to ensure everyone has a fair and enjoyable experience during the contests!
You are allowed to submit one (1) entry per competition. Your entry must be a card of your own creation. You may add minimal comments to explain your card's design, balance, and/or qualities. You may not significantly alter your card once it has been submitted. (Although minor tweaks, such as to adjust balance or correct spelling errors, are acceptable.) You may not delete your submission post. Manipulating votes in any way is strictly forbidden. Any violators will receive a warning and a possible ban / disqualification from future contests. Any discussion of entries, ideas, and so on should take place in this week's designated Discussion Topic. This is the Submission Topic, and it is for submission posts and up-voting only. Recent New Rule - So called "troll entries" can be submitted but will not be able to advance to the final. Fun entries are OK, but outright, unbalanced parodies are not. If you're unsure, check with a moderator before submitting. Recent New Rule -You MUST upload your submission to a site that stores images, for example Imgur.com, Photobucket.com etc. This is for your own good as Hearthcards only keeps your image for a limited time and sometimes has problems resulting in lost images.
Competition Process
Entry Phase and Early Voting (Starts 20:00 UTC 16/July/2015, Ends 18:00 UTC 21/July/2015) It is during this Phase that you may submit entries to the Submission Topic. You may also, of course, feel free to give early up-votes to any submissions that you like!
Voting Phase (Starts 18:00 UTC 21/July/2015, Ends 18:00 UTC 22/July/2015) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be locked, so no more entries may be submitted. Instead, use this time to browse the submissions and up-vote your favorites!
Final Phase (Starts 19:00 UTC 22/July/2015, Ends 19:00 UTC 23/July/2015) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a new Poll Topic will go up. Discussion will be allowed to continue in the Poll Topic, and it will also include all the qualifying finalists and a 24-hour poll to decide the winner of the competition!
How do we determine the qualifying finalists? First, we'll take the highest-voted entry on each page of the submission topic. Then, we'll fill in the rest using the formula detailed here...
(abc) / (de) = x
Where, a = The total number of up-votes in the entire topic. b = The total number of submissions on the same page as the submission. c = The total number of up-votes that the submission received. d = The total number of pages that the entire topic spanned. e = The total number of up-votes on the same page as the submission. x = The submission's final score.
It might seem a bit complex and convoluted, but the bottom line is that, although entries on the earlier pages of the Submission Topic are much more visible and thus receive many more up-votes than entries on later pages, you don't actually have to rush to get your entry in as soon as possible because the up-votes end up being weighted by what page your entry ends up on in order to determine its final score. It will be the ~15-25 entries that receive the highest final scores (depending on the popularity of this week's competition) that move on to the Final Phase. The spreadsheet showing the final scores of every submission will be released after each competition.
But wait, there's more! During each Weekly Card Design Competition, each Fan Creation Forum moderators will be given a Wild Card, which they can use to advance any one entry that they feel was initially overlooked or under-appreciated to the Final Phase, regardless of its final score. Wild Cards are our way of spicing things up a bit, but please don't ask to be given one or be upset if you aren't given one. These are just supposed to be fun. (Also, it should go without saying that, while we moderators are allowed to participate in the competitions, we are not allowed to benefit from Wild Cards.)
Rewards
To encourage your competitive spirit, we do of course offer a few rewards to competition winners: Their card forever immortalized in our Winners' Gallery! The power to choose the theme for a future competition! A unique Avatar Border & "Card Design Champion" Title, as depicted below!
Hoping that this is balanced enough, it's a mimic of the underused Axe Flinger, but it gives druids more options to gain Mana Crystals faster.. made it 2-atk to fall in the range of Shadow Word: Pain/Cabal Shadow Priest, Stampeding Kodo, also, 5hp to be in the range of Kill Command, Fireball, out of Flamestrike and so on.. also, it's a low cost legendary, and I love low-cost legendaries, and I hope you'll love this one too!
EDIT: Added flavor text, fixed wording, a cleaner artwork
EDITv2: Additional note, if you reach 10 mana, then trigger Broll's effect, you WON'T gain Excess Mana, thus it won't grant you free cards.. the card's effect is meant to help with the mana crystals, not with the card draw
Beards and when damaged, huh? ... that'll be tricky. Let's try this.
and the token:
In case you were wondering how this works, the flavor text is, "This guy's so brutal, even his beard hair can kick your butt!"
So his stats are kind of shit for six mana, but he does summon a 4/4 every time he's hit, so he's still pretty good. He's an epic, too, so he is at least somewhat balanced.
Flavor Text: "Why use a whip when you have a perfectly good boomstick?"
I wanted to do something along the lines of Patron Warrior. A card that could lead to a whole new archtype. I thought this would combo particularily well with Gahz'rilla. But, abusing charge is the name of the game when it comes to combo decks, and I'm sure since I didn't limit it to Beasts that folks smarter than I am will find better uses.
With Alliance Warriors, I mean things like Goldshire Footman, Elven Archer, Ironforge Rifleman, Stormpike Commando, Stormwind Champion, Gnomeregan Infantry...
"He likes listening to the birds chirping and the screams of those who trespass Dun Morogh."
The general idea for this card is to attack, and then to ping it on the very same turn so that it returns to your hand and you can play it the next turn. Obviously, if it dies it won't return to your hand.
Edit: Also super happy I came in early this week. Usually there's already 4-5 pages of entries by the time I post mine. ^^ Fixed a problem with the card text.
This is the Submission Topic. The Discussion Topic is here.

When this bearded dwarf loses a limb, he puts a weapon where it used to be and fights back harder!

Edit: Changed the name to his full name
Edit 2: After some comment in the discussion thread, this card has been re-balanced.
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
Besides Wardancing, he's also proficient in Ballet, Capoeira, Tango, Waltz, Swing and The Worm.

Galavant Animation
Let's say this guy attacks a Violet Teacher, 3 of your empty mana crystals are refilled (meaning you need to also spend that mana beforehand).
On your opponent's turn, he pretty much has no effect.
