Meh, even though the impact it low, I think the cost is appropriate. It's 2 face damage plus removes 2 mana from your opponent for one turn. Not auto-include broken, but can be pretty effective in certain scenarios (Ice Block, Loatheb). So it's more like Lava Shock level of power.
Could possibly be playable in Malygos Warlock. Notably, it won't trigger Ice Block, so could see it included in that list if freeze mage becomes more popular. Beyond that, don't see much use in this card. Should've made the curse cost more than the spell, imo.
It requires your opponent's tempo to get rid of so it's actually not that bad in aggro matchups. Unfortunately warlocks don't have much spell synergy, and I doubt you're going to be playing troggs or something. Logically speaking though, this card basically costs 0 mana since your opponent has to spend 2 mana to remove the effect.
This seems like it could work in zoolock, maybe as a way to provide more options, like a turn 1 flame imp into turn 2 cursed say you don't draw into juggler nerubian or wrathguard.
If he doesn't turn 2 get rid of it then he eats at least 4 in the face, 7 if he doesn't clear the 1 drop. This card may see play in that archetype imo.
Can they stop releasing really cool cards and have them be bad? This card sucks ass. The card it gives only cost 2 mana. Dafaq. It could have easily costed more. It cost me a card and 2 mana to start the 2 damage and they can simply get rid of it for 2 mana leading to me losing a whole card for 2 damage to face? Fuck this card. So interesting but fucking awfull.
That is not a "Sick" combo. That is a 7 mana deal 2 for sure damage and then 2 more avoidable but hard to avoid damage. 7 mana 5/5 deal 4 damage to face isn't a sick combo. You lose 2 cards 7 mana for 4 damage and a 5/5. Saying it's a good combo is a spit in the face to the overpowered as shit combos that already exist in the game. Force of Nature + Savage roar, Equality + Consecration. Those are "sick combos"
I don't know if it's as bad as people here are saying. You can think of it as a 2-mana minion that deals 2 damage to your opponent every turn unless they spend 2 mana to remove it. It can't trade, but it also can't be killed conventionally.
The main downside is that I don't really see much in the way of synergy. There's nothing else to really help you get additional value out of playing this, so there's no real reason to play it. You could maybe try using it in a weird, hybrid handlock / mill deck.
I'm going to test it out when it gets released. I want to see what happens when you put two of these in a deck with Lorewalker Cho, Mountain Giants, Molten Giants, Fist of Jaraxxus, Doomguard, etc.

Seriously. I'm not sure a 2-mana speed bump will ever be useful, especially considering that the warlock has to hit the same speed bump in order to make this happen. Sounds like the resulting effect is just an empty stall of game for the warlock. Guess for the sake of balance, classes that are currently good get garbage cards in expansions, huh?
Cool concept, but what deck would actually play it? None. Maybe a mill deck might, but there is no Warlock mill deck. That is contrary to the class design. Might be ok in freeze mage or some Hunter deck. Maybe even in Priest. But even then, what would you switch it out for? And again, not what Warlock does. I want this card to be good because I like the concept. But I don't see how it could work with the class.
Would've like to have seen this with similar text to Fist of Jaraxxus, as to be played on discard as well.

Two mana for the curse? To low cost?
"... but not less than (1)" is needed now more than ever!
The word inconcistence of this realy makes me puke. Why not Start or End of turn? This wording is just stupid.
This curse card for opponent should cost 4 mana. Its just 2 face dmg and loss a turnfor both players if played early.

I'm sorry if you're getting cursed by this card, just ignore it for 2-3 turns, just a worse Mindblast.

Useless card. A card for a future mill warlock deck! (lol)
Who can take your trash out?
Stomp it down for you?
Shake the plastic bag
and do the twisty thingy, too?

Systematically burying Warlock 2 expansions in a row. GG Blizz
