Okay, once more for the people in the back,...Zephrys the Greatcannot read, he understands keywords and numbers. That's it. He does not think a 0/3 with stealth is a threat, because he does not understand what the long term implications are. Hell, they needed a patch to work against Doomsayer. Yes, he had problems dealing with stealth, and yes, if you float 4 mana instead of 2, he prefers SI:7 Infiltrator to Flare, but it is not his fault. I agree with Alph2760, the attempt, however imperfect is admirable, and they are still adjusting it.
Holy hell relax nerd. It sounds like a simple oversight. Chances are Blizzard will fix it soon if what you're saying is true and they become aware of it. Zeph is easily the most sophisticated card coded to date; I wouldn't be surprised if there are still 100 more unknown niche interactions where it didn't offer the "perfect" card.
The more you'll play Zephrys the more you'll learn what it can and can't offer you and that's when it starts to get good.
Now you know you can't get Flare against a stealthed frog on turn 4, next time this happens you won't missplay.
I get what you're saying but I imagine it would take huge amount of work from the devs to make Zephrys fully capable of figuring out every board state and do what the player wants to do. Maybe Zephrys could have offered you a flare if there wasn't a spell damage totem, he gave you 2 answers for the spell damage, maybe this was his first priority.
it's a known bug, that zephrys isn't offering Flare. the devs just don't give a damn. i once had lethal on board with a void lord in the way and it offered me black knight but no silence.
some situations just don't work.
but to say, that expecting flare, with a stealthed minion on your opponents side of the board, is a misplay, is stupid.
Have you ever overthink your reasoning before you post? Doubtful.
When the Jews died in Hitlers concentration camps, they didn't figure out the right option to pick and break out.
It's not supposed to live automatically.
They just didn't play it right......how unfortunate.
Stupid Jews.
Equating a virtual card game to the holocaust. Not just a terrible analogy with no real, discernible point.... but utterly, completely without class. Your comparison falls flat because it's a dumb analogy that makes no sense. It fails even harder when you consider the context of the analogy that you are trying... painfully... to illustrate for us.
Right now Zeph doesn't properly recognize stealth and counter-stealth plays. It's right there in the pending patch notes for Tuesday. Although in this situation, I'm not sure it's going to consider a 0/3 stealth to be such a big deal that it offers you Flare.
Zeph isn't some magical card that says "Win the game on turn 4". It isn't an AI that knows the perfect card to give you. It's a programmed sub-routine that has a bunch of if-then-else statements plus some RNG (you will notice that in exact same situations, it gives you some randomness to the selections...on purpose).
I expect on Wednesday that we're going to see some posts of complaining about how they wanted a Shadow Word: Pain but instead Zeph offered Flare because of the 0/3 stealth on the board. Just can't please everyone.
Ah, here we finally have the exact Blizzard employee responsible, explaining in detail how the card, in fact, works in every given situation. Thank you. This is what I was looking for.
They've done multiple interviews explaining exactly how it works. Thousands of lines of code. All hard-coded, no AI. I mean, it's not hard to find how it works. One of the interviews even showed the code being scrolled through (with enough detail to read it). But sure, dismiss an accurate response because it doesn't fit your narrow and incorrect world view.
Well, it's not really news that Zeph still isn't 100% perfect. There's been enough Trolden videos and live streams to prove that.
The one thing I do know it's he's still being worked on to account for more situations so he'll perform better in the future. If the fact that he's screwed you over a couple times bothers you and you just need to vent, you may want to check out the salt thread. If you want to post feedback, you're better off going to the official forums.
Otherwise though, I'm not sure what you (op) want to discuss. There's not much to say that hasn't already been said many, many times over. Zeph is still a fantastic card and unlike pretty much every other card ever, it continues to get improvements. It's likely never going to be 100% perfect, ironic as that may be. Not sure what else there is to discuss.
Your tone comes across as really quite wound up, it's just a card game mate, shit happens sometimes but they've already said they will be pushing out more fixes for zephrys.
Why even post if you have nothing to say? To say that it's "just a game" is so remarkably shallow that you might as well have just said: "it is what it is", only then could it be a greater non-response. Yeah, it is a game, and we're here on this forum discussing said game, so what's your point? Nothing, exactly.
I think he is just pointing out that this feels more like a salt thread than a serious discussion. You were given an answer earlier to which you replied "you must be a comedian".... so calm down buddy. It's just a card game.

After reading through all the answers in here i can only add the following:
It's not supposed to win you the game automatically, you're supposed to figure out the right option to pick.
You just didn't play it right

The level of salt here is unbearable. Your responses to people are even more childish than your original post
Seems ok.
