posted a message on Remove Tickatus from the game already.

This whole thread is insane. It requires you to draw a specific card, play a card that costs more, survive the onslaught of aggro, and then only really effective if you are playing a greedy or combo based deck. The win rates are terrible on Tick decks. The only reason to nerf. I lost to a 16/16 Edwin on turn two and you think Tickitus is the problem. LMAO

The way to balance rogue is to nerf druid.

As someone who has lost to this multiple times with lethal on board...I'm so glad they fixed this. I've never been so angry playing hearthstone in my life when that happened.

posted a message on New reward system replacing gold

They already said that it wouldn't impact how accessable the game is and how f2p players can operate. They said that they went a long way to making the game give better rewards and more opportunities for f2p and don't have any intention on rolling those back.

    So chill time...

A few fails as dual class cards imo are: Disciplinarian Gandling and Flesh Giant (both useless in Priest), Wave of Apathy (useless in Paladin), High Abbess Alura (useless in Priest) and Shield of Honor (this really should have been a Warrior-only card)

I see Flesh Giant all the time...

I think he was referring  to Flesh Giant not being useful in Priest, not that you don't see the card in Warlock.

posted a message on Turn 6 Druid OTK Nerf?

Dismissing legit concerns of turn 6 otk is bad for the game and the community. There typically isn't counterplay that early and I've also run into it. A tech card like cult neophyte doesn't really help in situations like, only possibly delays the combo until 7 which is still absurd. Be constructive.

Guardian animals is an absolutely absurd card design. The fact that you can play 18 Mana worth of cards on turn 7 is insane. The more insane part is that you are usually playing that on turn 4 or 5. Trying to argue this just makes me think you are just trying to play the "dernt nerfs my drool ex win Derk"

Wow, way to get petty and nasty over a freakin' game. Grow up some?

And, to get that 18 mana's worth, you have to draw a legendary, one of the Guardian Animals and at least one of the Lightning Bloom before turn 4 (at least in your little world). Not exactly a simple task.

Seeing as how I rarely play Druid (last time I did was probably when I experimented and quickly got bored with Embiggen dragon months ago), I truly couldn't care less whether the deck gets nerfed or not. I think I crafted all of 1 epic card to build this deck, with the rest coming from card packs.

All I'm saying is that it is so early in the meta that deranged rants make no sense. Thank you for proving my point.

Let's start here and unpack this. You don't need a legendary to get massive value out of Guardian Animals.  All you have to do is play the card. Go look at Out of Cards analysis of the card.

Everyone from pros to streamers to analysts are calling the combo busted. If you don't agree that's fine, just know that you are massively in the minority, I love that you "don't play druid" until it becomes insanely OP. What did you normally play Galakrond Shaman on Decent launch and Demon Hunter on Outland launch. Please...

No, we can't have fair Rogue until Edwin and Shadowstep is HoFed.

Almost every other class got its classic and basic set power cards either HoFed or nerfed in oblivion but Rogue somehow escapes every single time.

Blade flurry? Nerfed to unplayable. Vanish? HoF. Preparation? Nerfed to almost unplayable. Cold blood? Nerfed to almost unplayable. Gang up? HoF. Conceal? HoF. Not to mention all big rogue spells became unplayable because of preparation nerf.  If you think rogue dodged nerf and HoF of basic and classic set you are dillusional.

lol Gang up was from Blackrock Mountains.

It doesn't matter how many cards Rogue got nerfed or HoFed, their Classic set is two notches above anyone else. Edwin or Shadowstep (ideally both) has to go.

I mean this is entirely true. The general power level of classic sets these days are almost nothing. Even after rogue has had multiple rounds of nerfs, they still typically play the highest number of classic cards. Backstab, Eviserate, Edwin, Shadow Step are in almost every single rogue deck. As they have taken things like Mountain Giants out of the game, they have scaled back on early game big removal to deal with those. Turn 4 big Edwins for a lot of people are just the end of the game.

They are in every deck why? Because they are the ONLY ways to deal with aggro.  Hearthstone devs continue to print slow cards for rogue and they are weak.  If you want Rogue to stop including these cards in decks, they need better early game cards.

I totally agree. I don't want to see any class nerfed to the ground. It makes the game way less fun to have no diversity. They do need to print some early game removal tools for rogue if you want to nerf any of the above. The issue was that Edwin used to be all or nothing. When you made a 10/10 Ewdin, you'd starve yourself of resources for a least a few turns for the hope that you could just outright win. Currently rogue has massive resource generation so creating a massive Edwin always feels like the right play. This is what I have a problem with. If something is always the right decision, it's generally broken.

posted a message on Slow Players

I rope every turn, except when I have lethal, in which case I just win.  I even rope turn one, even if I have no 1 mana plays.

    Why?

    1) Even if my play is seemingly obvious (like the hellfire example OP provided), sometimes there are better plays in the long run.  Maybe I have a lot of healing in hand and can absorb 12 damage, and I can bait my opponent into getting more value from my hellfire.

    2) Even if I determine my play early in the turn, I use the remaining time to predict and plan future turns.

    3) It takes time to write down cards played (both me and my opponent), taking notes, etc.  I always use pen and paper.  Using a tracker program dulls my skill when it is time for tournaments where tracker programs are not available.

    4) It tilts kids like you.

     5) You have no life and it's not important enough to play a little bit faster because what else are you going to do. Go outside? Lol! Spend time with friends or family? LOL wut friends and family?

posted a message on Murloc Paladin is the best deck in the game
    Quote from C_A_W >>

HSreplay is garbage without a subscription, their data is limited to Gold. This data is completely useless because people on these ranks have no idea how to play, they play the green card every turn without thinking and complain about matchmaking on forums after losing.

Don't trust HSreplay, even VS has dropped in quality a lot in past months. I think the best way to analyse the meta is to play the game.

I agree that HSreplay is really bad if you don't pay for it. VS is actually decently accurate even though I don't agree about all their conclusions (ooze has been a great tech card).
