Question is: does he heal himself? Because that would made him an interesting target for the 1-drop reborn spell.
Yes, this would heal itself. If it couldn't heal itself, the card would read: restore 5 health to another damaged character. Since this is the exact same card as Ragnaros, I feel pretty confident that's how it works.
Ok this card is amazing for arena! Its a "ragnaros lightlord" for priest and its a common so you can have a bunch of them. 5/5 for 5 mana and with this efect is also fantastic. This card is for me like the dragon that gives +3 attack at the end of a turn and it was realy popular. Works also great with "injured blademaster", "damage stegodon", "northshire cleric" and maybe more. This is an auto include for me and i rate it 5/5.

Yes, the wording implies any friendly character and not OTHER, so yes. Giving this Reborn with the new spell means he would heal himself after being Reborn, assuming he lives for the turn.
This card IS really good. Despite how the live stream showed the Priest Quest, this is the card that will keep you alive and complete your quest all in one card. Their build was not optimal for winning games, just for showing off the quest.
This card can go into any deck that is not BIG Priest (in Wild) because the opponent cannot ignore it. Aggro normally cannot outrace this card. And if you get 2 of them out, Aggro just hits the Concede button.
This is a very strong card even if played on curve, it will help you stall a bit more and grant Activate the Obelisk progress, now imagine this with Embalming Ritual too. Plus as many mentioned just by being a smaller Ragnaros, Lightlord is a huge bonus and it will fit in many Priest decks.
Then why did you reply? I said "It's a card that will probaly be good in Standard, but will be completely forgotten as soon as it rotates. "
Really what was your intention?
Also it is you that doesn't care about Wild. Not "We". Because I do care about Wild, I invested a lot of money in this game and don't really care about e-sports so why should I play Standard? And I am by far not the only one.
But If you want to talk about Standard, okay.
Did I mention this card is outclassed by Zilliax in both it's function and Mana-cost slot? It's really not as good as people make it out to be. Quest will be the sole reason this gets played.

Sooo Quest/Control or Midrange Priest is gonna do it? I think it can. Also priest has good silence cards that will help him a lot in a new meta.

I think it's overhyped.
Lolragnos wasn't ever that great either, and this is just the 5 Mana version of him.

Those Midrange Priest vs. Control Priest games are going to be epic.
"Why, you never expected justice from a company, did you? They have neither a soul to lose nor a body to kick." -- Lady Saba Holland
But no one needs this for the Quest in a world where Greater Healing Potion and Spirit Lash are available.
It's so cute watching you try to have a conversation about Wild.
