I really want a slower hunter deck it be viable, control or midrange, whatever you want to call it, and this seems like it could be a great fit. Even if silenced, its base stats are good, 6/9 for 7. This would be a contender for Wild Pyromancer for more synergy.

Favorite class: keeping all 9 of them equal in level.
This is really good, especially compared to King Krush, but I don't think it's worth building around. This will find it's home in a deck like Sparks Pyromaniac Secrets. where there are already a ton of cards that synergize with this.
Hmmm... Well it's a good card. Not sure I like it in Hunter. It would be death in warrior or even mage. But for Hunter? It's kind of a slow card. Still good. It's certainly not as fast as King Krush. Although, it is a bit cheaper so that helps. I guess it would be a good card for the beast hunter archetype Blizzard seems to be pushing, if that even turns out to be viable. But honestly, it's not going to blow you away.
This is the kind of beast that demands an instant response, and it being a 7-drop means that it opens the path for the plethora of strong 8-drop legendaries, plus it's just out of BGH range unbuffed, drawing hard removal or bad trades. For the mana cost, the stat distribution is excellent.
I can imagine control hunters popping up
Turn 6: Highmane
Turn 7: Gahz'rilla
Turn 8: <Insert legendary here>/removal and control as needed
"Out of BGH Range" isn't as true here as with any other 6 attack minion. It only takes 1 point of damage to put this in BGH range.
But for the most part that requires a trade, a spell, or an effect setup (like Knife Juggler or Wild Pyro) so you're already having to spend 2 cards to handle one. Plus, you're left open for any potential 8-drop (depends on the board setup) immediately after.
I'm also unsure why most of you are discounting the possibility of an activator card being in the set as well. Maybe a bestial wrath-type thing but with charge.
wow for a moment i didn't notice this was a hunter-only card and thought they brought OTK warrior back
Control Hunter? Is that gonna be a thing?
That RNG tho. BroncsRoc#1880

Mother of God. Hunter must be the love child of Blizzard.

Literally the most difficult to assemble combo in the game.
wat
I forgot it was Hunter's card lol. And that combo isnt hard to pull off. The days of OTK Warrior Charge + Alex + Inner Rage were common.

The fact that it is a Hunter card is what made it hard to pull off :/
Still possible with Faceless or MCT. Imagine the Trollden vidz.
Wondering how this card would do in a deck like this:
Turn 1: Eat popcorn
Turn 2: Call Pet and get Gahz'rilla.
Turn 3: Gahz'rilla
That will be a complete blowout, in 0.005% of games.

0.7143% to be exact!
0.668% without coin, 0.8% with, still, remarkably rare.

Good synergy hunter deck involving call beast, ghaz, and all your favorite hunter OP
The joy for priests when this is played on turn 10 and they double Shrinkmeister into Cabal Shadow Priest.
