Supercollider, while cited as being trash before it was released, is actually taking people far on ladder. This makes me very happy, enough that I want to make this post. I wanted this weapon to be good so bad, and I'm happy to see that this is working out as I've been wanting it to. People are using Supercollider mostly in Odd Warrior. A big part of the reason this weapon is working out is because people aren't playing around cards that are reliant on board placement/positioning, something I called as a primary strength of a weapon like this. A few choice screenshots and a link to a Reddit post that brought me much of this information are featured below.
Ehh, it looks like the only strength of this weapon is the surprise factor. Right now, nobody will expect a Supercollider, but if the card becomes popular everybody will play around it. I still don't think it's a good card.

"FibonacciHS played around with this list from rank 5 and now hovering top 100 peaking at 16." "I think 1 of supercollider should be staple in control decks."
"Is supercollider that good? Didn't expect it to be a real card at all tbh." "It's busted."
"Supercollider feels super broken."
Some of your top and most influential/important players are making very clear statements. There's nothing to doubt here. I wouldn't be making this post if the card isn't good. Considering Fibonacci is arguably the best Warrior player in the game and Vicious Syndicate/Data Reaper pulls in some of the hardest numbers/data, there's no debate. Supercollider is worth your time. Something to think about.

That means absolutely nothing. Just last month, some people played Murloc mage and Murloc priest to high legends and everybody was calling those decks "busted". Where are these "busted" decks ? Making seemingly absolute statements from a position of authority doesn't make those statements true. I would only believe Supercollider is good if it becomes popular and people start playing around it.
Yes, that weapon is broken AF, mby not so much in constructed, where it isnt as much about board control and minion battle, but in arena it can win you the game on the spot. It is very easy to be in a situation, where you only have minions that when hit by Supercollider will kill each other; and playin one minion per turn to avoid that is just not gonna cut it, u will simply lose the board. I too was very skeptical when i first saw it, but im fully on the hype train about how strong the card is. And even if you can play around it by putting small minions between two bigget ones, if you are not already in complete board control, opponent can just kill off the small one and then proceed to reap the value. Im sure we will hear "just play around it" argument often, but i dont think its that easy to do in this case.
Ehh, it looks like the only strength of this weapon is the surprise factor. Right now, nobody will expect a Supercollider, but if the card becomes popular everybody will play around it. I still don't think it's a good card.
And that makes those cards extremely strong. If you run copypastas from the internet you everyone knows what you are running and expect nothing else. Improving and making your own, especially while tryharding high legend ranks, is busting a lot of those players out there.
I will never forget how hard I destroyed people playing Troggzor the Earthinator, a card still called bad by the community, but oh boy, this card was that good in my Control Mage back then in GvG, a deck nowhere on top of the well known Tier Lists.
Realistically it does have some good targets - such as Hunter Spellstone, some Zoo or Rogue boards, but a lot of other minions/decks you can weaken the effect of this card by quite a bit with smart positioning. I am not convinced you would really play it in anything other than Odd Warrior - but that's because Odd Warrior gets quite a lot more armor to utilize weapons safely and has a lot fewer options for removal.
Spoilers: Card's still trash. It's just catching some people by surprise because, believe it or not, no one's running it because it sucks.
I would say that's not true, just that barely anyone is playing Warrior atm (for good reason) every Odd Warrior I ran into did run this card. I am still leaning towards trash, but it's a marginal case in Odd Warrior (I'm sure it will get worse with next expansion).
I agree, the card is good (not great); even without the surprise factor. Warrior just hasn't picked up the popularity it deserves but it will be getting more attention in the coming days (I already saw more warriors the past few days actually).
People above saying the card is trash haven't been playing enough high rank warriors I think... Yes you can play around it, but it isn't easy and playing around this card will mess up a lot of decks their strategy to start with. Three charges is a lot, a lot of deck strategies cannot afford playing 3 suboptimal turns in a row.
The card also synergises extremely well with Mossy Horror which is starting to become the mvp of Boomsday.
It's not a great card because of being deadweight against some combo decks, but then again you always have those in control-oriented decks.
I can be wrong, but if I am I expect it to be about the good/great part and not about the good/bad.
Nice catch! I have crafted 2x Collider after reading this Reddit post, and for now testing shows that this is wonderfull card which makes warrior really competitive
Warrior is overall performing very poorly in the meta right now. Just because a few skilled players had some success with the card, doesn't mean the card is good. A deck doesn't have to be top-tier to reach Legend. So long as it isn't complete trash and is played well by someone with enough time and patience, it can make it. All sorts of stuff makes it to Legend. Doesn't mean every single card in the list is worth 5 stars.
What you're suffering from here is confirmation bias. You like the card and want it to be good, and because a few people you respect have found some degree of success with it, you jump to the conclusion that it must therefore be as good as you think it is.
Spoilers: Card's still trash. It's just catching some people by surprise because, believe it or not, no one's running it because it sucks.
Explain why it sucks instead of using a circular argument if you actually have a point to make. Just because a card is strong when it's a surprise doesn't lead to a nessesary conclusion that once it isn't a surprise it isn't good.
The card at worst can be utilized to kill one thing the turn it comes out for 5 mana. If you can't kill at least one thing you wouldn't play it. If they are playing around it you would still be benefiting from their play, just like someone playing around spreading or mc tech, but if you maintain only a couple minions warrior will punish you for a lack of pressure. Cards do not have to be good in themselves to be good in a deck, cards can be good once they can work and they find their place. What we see here is sort of the reversal of what your saying. It's not that this card is bad, it just that warrior isn' typically favored in the meta right now, so it's easy to say this card is trash when actually the issue goes deeper than that.

You have to keep in mind that one of, if not THE best Warrior player is calling it a staple in Control Warrior. It's not confirmation bias when you realize that the best Warrior player we have is calling it a staple. If your reading comprehension is as good as your sass, you'll find yourself a seat and sit down.

And I "destroyed" taunt warriors and druids playing Zerek, Master Cloner. It's not like they couldn't counter my board filled with Zereks, they just didn't expect that to happen and hence saved no removal for it.
Surprise factor cards are NOT extremely strong, cards like Lich King, Giggling Inventor, Fungalmancer etc are strong cards. Everybody expects these cards but still can't refute them when they are played. Cards like Troggzor the Earthinator and possibly Supercollider are banking on that surprise factor to steal some wins, they provide no inherent strength to the decks they are played in. They only work in small sample sizes and fail to replicate the extraordinary results in the large sample sizes.
Of course there is nothing wrong with playing such surprise factor cards/decks and win games with it. They help increase the skill cap in game and provide fun gameplay, but that doesn't mean these cards are good or strong. They are just playable cards.

He said "I think" and "should be a 1 of" implying he still needs to do more testing with it in Control Warrior. Like I said a few times, it fits much better into Odd Warrior than other archetypes since they have a worse card pool to draw from and can utilize weapons better.
This card looks like mc tech to me whenever it becomes meta it will be out of meta because people will start to play around it
You can't play around it for the whole match. And warrior also has other removals, so it can prepare good position for Collider swing too. Anyway this weapon can make ultimate board swing on the turn it was played and then it makes opponent to play suboptimal and be more vulnerable for your other removals or board pressure.
Supercollider is a weapon that gets to deal 2-8 damage to two minions with each swing, three times.
it's an extremely potent removal, but it's not a weapon that allows to switch to FACE, which is actually an important downside.
For its cost, yes, this is a downside, which is why I stress the fact that Control is where it belongs, and Control doesn't care about direct damage very much.

be kind and considerate

Seems to me like some decent tech to remove a pesky taunt or poisonous minion. Im gonna have to give it a try
