Kripp just said on stream that this is insanely powerful and will push Mage into top tier Arena. I really don't know why Blizzard made this thing a common.
Although I do think this might work better for spells. Who knows...
It's 10x better than Zerus because there's a limited number of Mage spells (currently 35 in standard), most of which are powerful compared to all minions (currently 631 in standard), most of which are meh. Also, mage spells generally have much more utility than minions, and the right spell at the right time can make a huge difference. Definitely has the potential to see play in slower Mage decks.
Random nonsense. No one uses Zerus, this will be just as useful. That is, not very useful.
How many useless minions have in all mana curves?
How many useless mage spells have in all mana curves?
The only true downside of this card is the terrible topdeck when both players have empty hands, but I don't believe this will happen with mage with so many spells, draws and random cards generators around.
The point is, this is a card you put in your deck and don't need to do nothing to get a discount for Leyline in curve, this alone make the card playable.
The pool should be the smallest, which makes it more consistent to get something good. Then it has still to fit your situation. But there are spells that are viable in a lot of different situations, like Arcane Intellect or Primordial Glyph .I vote playable, alsthough I still have my doubts.
Too much variability to be great, but probably not bad to get from Primordial Glyph (if zerus is the standard, discounts should carry) or Cabalist's Tome
Good for Quest Mage, similarly to Babbling Book. Also potentially good with Leyline Manipulator if the cost reduction sticks around. That is assuming that the transformed spell triggers those effects. Otherwise it's garbage.
I'm also curious how this works with Joust/Dragon's Fury since it literally has no cost. What happens if you joust this vs. Innervate?

I think the cost will be considered 0.

I wonder though, does it count as a card that didn't start in your hand? I would guess no. But I like it anyways, it's a fun one.
Question: since this doesn't have a mana cost while in your deck, how does it interact with Dragon's Fury?
This card is not a spell until it's in your hand and transforms so wouldn't apply to dragons fury etc
Welp, Kripp called it...

Kripp is going to love this card.

Love the idea of this, and it's a common too
that can be awesome in arena
Better Shifter Zerus
Don't mind me just passing by
So, i’m guessing that the mage class is the hardest to design for, so by plastering random on every card possible it can serve as an easy way out.
Release the Kraken!
It idn't work with minions ( Shifter Zerus )
It didn't work with weapons ( Molten Blade ).
Let's see whether it works with spells.
