Compared to Small-Time Recruits, at least this provides a body on the board for 2/3 of the effect, making it less of a dead draw if you get it late. And Hunter doesn't have much card draw right now with Quick Shot leaving, so maybe it'll be played.
Alright, so I actually took time to think about this card and came to the conclusion that it was a good card for several reasons:
1. It thins your deck
2. 1 drops have better stats than any other drop, so if you play this card on turn 6 or 7 you're talking a 6 mana 5/7 or 7 mana 7/9 that thins your deck by two cards and floods the board.
3. This card is not meant to be played on turn 5 and I think people are looking at this card in terms of how good it is on turn 5.
4. Hunter is reliant on having beasts on the board and this card provides 1 mana activators for spells such as Kill Command or minions such as Houndmaster.
5. This card has a lot of potential based on what 1 drops are released for Hunter in this expansion. We really don't know what they are going to release for Hunter yet.
Overall, this is a good card and has a lot of potential based on what they release. Don't discredit it yet.
Wth with you ppl, 5 mâna draw 2 card is insane. Hunter tends to have quite a few 1 cost minion. And we also may have interesting 1 drop in this expansion.

Looks like trash
Just what I want to do, play a 1-drop on turn 6.
Bad in ladder, slightly less bad in Arena.

why would I play this?
playing wild

Thins your deck so you don't top deck useless 1 mana cards later in the game, but 5 mana 3/5 is too slow for hunter.
Complete garbage
please blizzard, stop printing unplayable gimmick cards
youll see this in 1 out of 100 matches
Maybe hunter gets good 1 drop ?! otherwise bad
Looks bad, but wouldn't surprise me if it works with the Hunter legendary quest.

Pretty bad right now unless we see some insane new hunter 1 drops

Well. To me this sounds like something useful.
turn 5 this, turn 6 starving buzzard + an alley cat you just drew for your consistant 2 draw (thinning your deck like crazy)
I mean, still gimmicky and probably not the play I want to make, but yeah the card is not what hunter needs
Now we know why the got rid of Azure Drake O.O
9/10 times, all 1 cost minions will be in my starting hand. This card would have been way better if it was 1 cost cards instead of minions
Just remember the good times!
bad hunter draw is tradition everyone.
