Pitlord, Infernal, Doomguard or Lord Jarrax on the field would be damn nice. This card is a great tempo giver allowing you to summon high cost minion on the field for free and without negative battle cry effects (discard/Hero dmg). I wish syllvanas was a demon too then I will play this card in my void terror deck all day.
Only run Doomgaurd in Zoo, and Jaraxuss in Handlock. None of the other demons are worth it, and def not competitive. This card is so disappointing. Mages get another amazing secret and this is what we get? GG. Unless they change the current demons, which I don't see them doing at all, this is terrible. /sigh Guess it'll be Zoo in Naxx as well..

ummm that secret is not all that good and to be honest is such a tempo loss I dont think it will see much play.

Really? In late game Mage decks, I see it will dominate. At least there are places it can fit in competitive decks, unlike this horrid card. The combo I thought of for the Mage secret would be molten giant on board, under 10 health, ice block up, they kill giant, you get two, drop em both with a defender and a heal. GG. This card doesn't even have any cool combos like that, since the demons are terrible. Sorry for being negative, but man is this so underwhelming for being a Warlock player. Illidian would be cool to pull out, but a competitive deck that runs illidian? Blizz gives us terrible warlock minions and then throws us another one. And a demon deck isn't viable because of all the downsides to em, can't handle all those and win..... Sac Pact on it might be cool, but those spots are needed for better cards. Just disappointed...
So far I don't see Naxxramas changing the meta at all..
You'd be very surprised. I never thought a lot of the cards in decks now would ever be used
I know. I suck at deck building so I'm just saying my worthless opinion, but I still see Zoo and Miracle being all the rage (Zoo will probably be even stronger).
Not that good, but more for the stats than the effect, really wants to be a 3/5 or a 4/4. The effect is actually interesting and could see play, especially with Power Overwhelming/Shadowflame: Cheating out Illidan early is very nice, Jaraxxus as a 3/15 is interesting (Defender of Argus for 4/16 taunt?), Doomguard is playable, maybe even Voidwalkers/Felguards, probably not a great card and won't shake the meta but it offers some interesting options and also has a lot of future potential.
They just won't give me my new Priest card, will they? :D Anyway, my take on this card is, it's one of those where you can instantly say "this could be a good combo with this and that if...", but if you don't get the right conditions, this is just a dead weight on its own.
They might release some neutral demons for naxx too. Who knows! Actually if you have two dread infernals or bigger guys in your hand, and you drop rivendare then sac pack him *or just smash him into something* you get two 6/6's. If you coined him out turn three that could be crazy. I agree with those saying they can see they are trying to make warlock a demon theme thing. But yeah I just don't see it altering things too much yet. Naxx will probably have to offer some other nifty things to make it play worthy.
I think good players would dump all the weak little demon minions quickly before playing him. Or not run any at all, only big useful guys and sense demons. It might have a spot in handlock since people usually save silence for the drakes and turn 3 sense demons isn't bad. I usually see people tap that turn anyway. But it's hard to say if we would ever see this in competitive. The deathrattle is kinda a double edged sword seeing as how if they kill it on their turn, they get to respond to whatever the new thing that was brought to the field is.
Voildcaller is definitely powerful as it provides the opportunity for warlock to put a strong minion on board without triggering the negative effect. We will see more demon-theme deck in Naxx as this card serves like a improved Alarm-o-Bot for warlock.
I think Blizzard tries to render warlock-zoo deck more specifically as warlock-zoo-demon deck, so obviously they are buffing demon cards so it suites the idea of demonology as well.
We are bounded to see warlock demon deck swarming out of the dark portal.
Just throwing this out there... when a minion is played through non-standard means (aside from Jaraxxus, which still takes the hero slot when played by another card). The demons that are "Bad" are because of battlecry effects...
As it is, running this with 2x sense demons, Jaraxxus, 2x Infernal, and 2x Doomguard, and 2xvoidcaller in a normal-ish Zoo deck has potential (might not even want the infernals, but they would add consistency. With Zoo you can usually get board control early, so summoning out an early Jaraxxus wouldn't be bad, and "free" doomguards would be game ending.
Also something to note: The deathrattle on that card is being valued at 1 mana, so even if you get a 1 drop from it, you aren't losing value.
With the Voidcaller, I can see Illidan Stormrage being used more often than he is now. I've always thought he was a solid legendary, just squishy. However, if you can bring him onto the field without actually having to pay his cost through the deathrattle? Yes please.
I wonder if the cards effect will work kinda like Alarm-o-Bot works. Alarm-o-bot can place, for example, Druid of the Claw in it's natural 4 4 form on the board without triggering his effect. I wonder if you can do the same with Pit Lord - drop him on the board without triggering his effect. Or Jaraxxus to get 3 15 body, also 5 7 charge without discards is interesting for me.
I think people are missing the point with this card. Maybe the 4 health for 4 mana is not great but a 3/4 body is not that bad actually. And if you can get a Jaraxxus or Illidian for free, c'mon thats just insane. And at worst case scenario you bait out a silence.
I don't see it being used with sense demons, because thats just a bad card, but sacrificial pack for more aggressive decks isn't actually that bad. I think this card has alot of potential and it will see some play and even better, it will revive Illidian and Jaraxxus. If most people have trouble killing Ysera and Malygos on turn 10, tell me how you are going to deal with a 3/15 Jaraxxus on turn 5. I love this card

yeah. could be busted, only question is if it is necessary to, i.e., put 2 sense demons 1 illidian and 1 caller into handlock. risks here are silence effects and your opponent ignoring the caller without you having a way to remove it. on the other hand if you start your turn 5 with caller in play and illidian in hand with a minion to run into on the oppoents side then its probably over. im no handlock player so i dont know what cards to remove for it. if twilight drakes then those are probably better, as the are more consistent.

I don't think adding them in existing deck is the best idea. But a midrange Demon deck with Sacrificial Pact and Sense Demons could work.
Even though many people have taken it for granted, the card, at least to me, seems to lack a certain word us HS players know and love; Random.
If it turns out to be a "chooseable" effect, this card is absolutely off the hook. Not that I expect it to be, but the lack of the word suggests that you just might be able to pick which card to play on top of this.

Does anyone actually see this making play in competitive decks?

It's impossible to say, we have no idea how good the Demon Deck will be once it's actually viable.

I'm still hoping it will be the taco monster

An eye for an eye, leads the whole world blind.

Maybe something like that (just a rough thought):
- senti
The best play I can see is - playing it with Void Terror but even in this case you can get just another Void Terror on the field.
