Paladins vomit mechs, have a 7 wide board of serious stats on 3 mana.
Mage has some minion that constantly gives 2 extra mana.
First they screwed up Standard several times, then ruined battlegrounds with a weird buddy thing that eliminated minion scarcity and triples from mattering.
Wild was spared the stupidity of standard by having actual counterplay tech cards ...until now. How do you stop Paladin's 2 mana draw 5? You don't.
I'll give it a week to see if the idiots fix Hearthstone with several common sense nerfs, but reality is they have screwed up the game so fast so often since Stormwind none of this is unexpected -- and hoping it might get fixed at this point is foolish of me.
It is just very disappointing seeing this game get ruined. It used to be expansions were a time of excitement and wonder.
I really am in disbelief that they could wreck the game this badly.
But when wild was created in 2016 it was to allow you to play cards, that have rotated out. Now that pool is massive.
I think I have written it on the forum before, but the "fix" to wild is to leave it alone and make a "Vintage" format with a limited number of non-standard expansion cards available and rotate every two month or so.

with the last AMA from dean ayala he said that such a mode could replace classic...

"Wild is our new name for the Hearthstone you already know, because it’ll be the format where anything can happen. While Standard puts a bright spotlight on recently released cards and brings a more balanced experience, when you queue up for Wild, you’ll be cozying up with the crazy fun of Hearthstone you’re already familiar with. Of course, as more and more cards are added over time, the wilder and more unpredictable Wild will be!"
Lots of us enjoy playing Wild so we could enjoy using the different older cards, older favorite decks and have a more fresh experience by combining older and newer cards; yes we had that enjoyable experience in Wild during 2017-2020. However, due to the nature of the cards design game when newer cards must power creep over older cards to attract both older and newer players to play Standard mode, it is unavoidable to have more and more newer cards that will mess up Wild further over time. There was not lots of them back in 2017-2020 but after 2020, it becomes out of control and unpredictable for Blizz to worry about all the possible stupid combos that drives Wild in an overall much faster meta. I honestly don't like it but if you want to keep playing Wild, just accept this fact and enjoy it by joining them with using those crazy decks to ladder. Otherwise, just play Wild Casual...
Shaman is totally OP in Wild right now. It is just so frustrating to play against as they have everything - burst, healing, hard removal (devolve, etc.), constant stalling and freezing. And the cherry on top - the idiotic Shudderwock turns combined with constant parrots, return to hand, and even more shudderwocks. Not only you just sit there and you can't do sh*t about it, but it also takes forever as the animations are so slow.
Honestly I don't find Wild that awful, unless it's quest mage or anything druid, you can play slow decks and have fun. And there is always the option to go hyper aggro and be competitive against most decks in the format.
I guess everyone has a different opinion but I really don't feel like the other classes are oppressive. You always have a chance to win. But quest mage completes the quest on curve then it's game over because they have infinite turns. And druid.. Well, I don't even know where to start. It's literally cheating to play druid. I wouldn't even know where to start nerfing the class, so many cards are a huge problem long term imo.
One thing I dislike about the format is that slow decks are absolutely forced to run either dirty rat or mutanus, otherwise they instantly lose to too many decks.
Wild is the best mode of the game, but not because its better, but because its less bad.
Battlegrounds is just RNG, you have good RNG you win, simple as that.
Standard is the same decks over and over, zero diversity.
Mercenaries .. ? Should I say anything about that garbage, really?
So what's left? Wild. Even with bullshit toxic cancer like pirates, every single Druid and Shudderwock, but you can just surrender against this crap and have fun in other matches.

Play with these decks if u think they are too strong and invicible!
I’m the sort David Sirlin hated: I don’t play exclusively to win. I just don’t like Shudderwock or Mech Paladin. I have other quasi-lame decks, I do have a Time Warp mage. I dunno. Maybe I just don’t care enough or the right way. God knows the rest of my life sucks too.

sDuels, arena, singleplayer(the dungeon runs of old), classic(but that's not great either but if you have the cards it can be fun to try out), and you can sometimes get some fun out of tavern brawl.
If you want a more fun and less focused experience, you should stop playing in a still somewhat competitive environment (or limit your permanence there). There were some Discord communities to join for people looking for free play, less serious tournaments, community formats... I joined a pauper hearthstone Discord once. It was a fun thing while it lasted (for me, I don't know if it's still out there). This would allow you to find other people with your same vision of the game, really this is the only way an inherently competitive game can stay truly fun for non-competitive people in the long term.

Someone is bound to reply, that wild is wild...

#3 Sounds good..

Problem is that these same toxic decks are played in Casual also...
It always has.

Oops...
Just stop playing the game, or go for arena.
There are many good games out there. Stop giving blizz your money.

Total cancer is Quest Hunter, the rest is playable against.
EU 11/2015+ , f2p 03/2021+: DK 63 / DH 205 /Dr 277 / Hu 733 / Ma 6666 / Pa 1072 / Pr 1165 / Ro 1791 / Sh 1303 / Wl 707 / Wr 664

Perhaps it’s time for an expanded format where it’s not completely wild but it’s more sets than just standard
Play with these decks if u think they are too strong and invicible!
So are you saying a non-rotating format like wild should not being doing insane things with the huge card pool it has?
I’m the sort David Sirlin hated: I don’t play exclusively to win. I just don’t like Shudderwock or Mech Paladin. I have other quasi-lame decks, I do have a Time Warp mage. I dunno. Maybe I just don’t care enough or the right way. God knows the rest of my life sucks too.
I don't know your definition of cancer, is it just face damage ?
Quest mage infinite turns and druid infinite mana, this is cancer. Quest hunter is a very healthy deck for the format, very easy to tech against.

It loses to any control/combo deck. So no drama
