Hi, I don't think it will work this way for C'Thun, the Shattered, but I assume so purely on Hearthstone Dev Team being consistent in making game mechanics inconsistent :D
Good catch though, I would love to see it work that way!
It depends how they code it. Ysera Awakens is considered "Ysera", because the devs consider it to be it. But whether they take the same route with C'Thun? No one knows. But for sure card text isn't an indication, because HS has a number of inconsistencies in the texts.

So Druid!Ysera doesn't take damage from Ysera Awakens? o_o
I don't think they will cause it doesn't make a lot of sense anyways. What would be the reasoning behind buffing the new C'thun? This new guy is so slow that if you play C'thun and don't win immediatly then you're probably in hella trouble anyways, and yes making him bigger makes him a bigger threat technically but he still dies to most of the same stuff and his attack is irrelevant for his battlecry. The only card I could see being useful would maybe be Doomcaller and exclusively just to get another C'thun into your deck. Twin Emperor Vek'lor could also be useful but I don't think you would run all the C'thun support for this guy. At that point just run the old C'Thun and cut all the playing 4 spells and using 30 mana to get that sort of finisher.
I was thinking about the interaction of Ysera Awakens with Ysera and Ysera, Unleashed. Although the card text just says "Ysera", it doesn't hurt any of the Yseras. Will this happen with C'Thun? Will my Beckoner of Evil buff both C'Thun and C'Thun, the Shattered?

Okay, I just tested it. Alas, C'Thun, the Shattered has no synergy with the other C'Thun cards. And yes, I did wait to check once he was assembled.
Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
Today is a sad day

That's...interesting.

So that means Twin Emperor Vek'lor wouldn't take attack of C'Thun, the Shattered into account, correct?
I apologize for necroposting, by the way
Edit: forgot to type in that comma for Shattered C'thun.
