Been played wild for years, i now escape to the standard. A world without defile, plague, scream, voidlord seems very relieving.
And i agree wild is fun. But for me the problem is , the cards that i find interesting are too slow or mediocre/fair power level and there isnt any other modes that i can use them, so it is frusturating also.
as much as i hate smogon because of their generally condescending attitudes, one thing that they have going for them is that they create different formats so that every pokemon and strategy can see play in an environement adjusted to their niches, as a Lilligant fan i'm really thankful that there's a Nu tier where the pokemon can compete without being blown to smithereens by op pokemon, i think hearthstone or any card game developer for that matter could learn from that system though, it would be cool if instead wild or standard we'd have OU, UU, RU..and all those formats based on card usages, you know like overused cards could only be able to be used in OU but would be banned on every other format, with the lowest powered cards being avaliable in all format but also having access to a speical format where only them are allowed.
I’ll never understand people who think that the community should not care how the game is played, or should not create their own culture of play with rules that go beyond the ones hard coded into the game.
Wild is fun until rank 5, same as standard. After that both become a playground for diehards who still don’t have the legend card back, or live under the illusion that they can make it to top legend and be ”pros”. I’ve got mine, so I just play until five in both modes each month and then goof around with deck concepts, finishing quests. Actually, to correct myself, rank 5 is also where the fun is at;)
I agree 100%. You can full aggro with fun minions like sir finley and loatheb, or you can go control and try to play crazy minions that enable awesome combos like reno or n'zoth. Wild is so entrtaining and so vast that it really baffles me anyone could long on to hearthstone and be like "oh im gunna have some fun and play big priest today". Its the most repetitive deck in hearthstone history. just soooo overused i dont know how anyone could actually still play it even trying to rank up theres no excuse. but yeah wild>standard even with big priest
yeah wild is alot of fun...till you get to close to rank 10 and you play the same fkn mage deck over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again

Which one? I barely played vs mage, and the ones I saw were exodia ones with the occational Odd and Tempo attempt.
The top 4 decks were pirate/kingsbane rogue, odd paladin, token druid and even shaman, almost no highroll decks like DHlock and big priest. Even at higher ranks, there were tonnes of weird decks like even beast druid, token paladin and deathrattle hunter (x2!) Yes, Wild is actually in a very good spot atm!

Unrelated PS: Baton pass is not broken >_>
Someone give this man a prize.

Yes, I agree! Wild is a very funny format! It's full of clowns :)
I must say in the end of this month/season i NEVER met any of the toxic decks in Ranked (not even the most typical top tiers).
I assume it was because of the end of season, and every good deck already climbed much higher than me.
Or because everyone switched to Standard?
Not sure. I just know my latest ranked games in Wild were good, with off-meta decks actually. Maybe even too easy tbh...
wild is fun if u try it for first time
but i assure u its not fun losing to a highroll Barnes over and over again for 2 years
