Thank you for the great work, your meta snapshot is now included in the opening post as the second meta snapshot. I only combined tiers 4 and 5 since tier 4 was small and when you get past tier 3 there really isnt a noticeable difference in power.
EU Side Legend is like 50% Hunters, if not more, rest is Patron, Secret and Zoo. Haven't seen a single Tempo Mage on the climb, but EU or NA is irrelevant, because what you wrote about it in the OP is complete bollocks, Zoo and Secret are almost impossible matchups for Tempo Mage, they don't "beat them on a regular basis" ever.
This is EU. The thing is your decklist for tempo Mage. I play Flamestrike and Frost Nova in my list and it's doing well.
Nova in Tempo Mage, Flamestrike in Wild where not even Freeze Mage runs Flamestrike because of the amount of Deathrattles, you are both awful, the fact that you're possibly Legend or high ranked makes me lose hope in this format.
Hi guys! Big thanks for putting this together... I hadn't played Wild since Standard came out until this last month, and was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it. So much so, that I tried for legend for the first time (I normally stop at r5 each season)! I used the info in this thread to revamp my old secret pally (balancing around N'Zoth to add late game), and honestly, it just dominated. I played the deck from rank 13 to 5 with 2-3 losses, then from r5 to #16 legend I went 41 wins 16 losses on NA ladder (71.9% WR). Yes... this deck may be a lil cancerous as it's pretty easy to pilot and has busted curve when you hit your RNG.
My experience (I wish I tracked all matchups... I just know my win/loss and rest is from memory):
-Meta is extremely diverse... I saw like everything in those 57 games: zoo, patron, secret pally, n'zoth priest, tempo mage, aggro shaman, dragon priest, midrange hunter, freeze mage, miracle rogue, mill rogue, some weird ramp druid, control warrior, and even mech mage.
-The most prevalent decks in my small sample, in roughly this order: midrange hunter > secret pally > zoo
-The hardest matchups FOR ME (with only this deck) in my sample: aggro shaman (1-3), patron (2-2), freeze mage (3-2)
-Eater of secrets was played against me in maybe 6 of the matches I played... It is a really strong card against the deck, but I still won in half of these games. I can say that it definitively saved my opponent 2x though (where I would have won otherwise). That being said... I am not sure it's worth running as it's so bad against non secret classes, and weakens some matchups.
Anyhow, I am really happy as this is my first time to legend, and it was surprisingly smooth! I didn't netdeck this list (not that it's the most original thing), and it feels extremely well tuned vs the NA meta at the moment. A big part of it is that it's much more forgiving of user error than some decks (i.e. freeze mage/patron), and that leads to consistency. If you guys have any thoughts on tuning the list, I definitely appreciate your feedback on the deck post.
Vicious Syndicate publishes a weekly meta-report based on the numbers compiled from Track-o-bot - about 4,000 matches a week in Wild. I searched this thread, and couldn't find any mention of it. It's quite useful - their analysis is exclusively focused on Standard, but the numbers for Wild are still compiled by the tracker, and present in the report. According to their most recent numbers, Secret Paladin is the winningest deck, slightly ahead of Midrange Hunter, which is in turn slightly ahead of Zoo. Zoo is actually favoured against everything in the meta-game, apart from Freeze Mage - otherwise, it would be the clear #1 deck.
If you've not heard of VS, or taken a look at their meta-report, I'd certainly recommend it - just google "Data Reaper". It will take a little navigating to find the Wild numbers, as there is only a micro-font link at the bottom of the page, which is easily missed. Apologies if this has already been brought to your attention - 17 pages is quite a lot. Have fun in Wild, in any event. BTW - I've been playing Reno Zoo to rank 5 each month since Wild launched. Fun deck, and good match-up against Freeze Mage.
What do you all think is the best Freeze Mage list currently? Is it the old Torch Mage or the one with Malygos posted early in this thread?
Torch Freeze, had about a 80% win rate all the way to top 50 Legend.
Cool, I'm sitting at 5 right now. Hopefully I can grind the rest of the way haha
You mostly need to play around Loatheb,Flares, Kezans and Eaters if you can, so even when Alex might seem like a good idea it possibly may not be, haven't met too many warriors, almost no control, the ones i did meet were Patron and it's definitely winnable, had a positive ratio against them. Good luck with the grind !
guys, is there any fine agrro warrior deck to grind a golden portrait?
Pirate Warrior as I said before. Don't know why isn't in the snapshot. I even beat a 60 Legend using it when I was about to reach Rank 5 (He was playing CW).
BTW, is that matchup normal? I thought that I should play against Legends above Rank 2 D:

It happened to me on rank 4 and 5 before standard came out, it definitely can happen. It happens more often when you're ranked under 4 though.
Remember there's way less players in wild, you can get matched against high legend players because there's like 500 legend players by the 20th of a month.

I used to be a control player like you, then I took a quick shot to the knee.

There is a navigation bar at the top of the VS page - click on the Data Reaper Report, and scroll to the option "Data Reaper Live (Beta)." This takes you to the up-to-date stats. At the bottom of the page of stats, there are some navigation links - "Class/Rank Overview," "Wild: Class/Rank Overview" and a few more. Hope this helps. Wild stats are based off the past ten days - usually between 400 and 500 games played per day. Currently, most users are either Legend, or rank 20-10 - not much useful information in between.

Ah ok. I wasn't looking in the Live area. Thanks so much!

I also play 2 flamestrikes in my tempo mage and am having no problems with aggro decks.
Wild Malygos Freeze Mage
Just wanna say thanks to rysotex and AlexisaKing for all the info.
Keep it up, it's greatly appreciated.
YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!!
Let's play golden Zoth
Battlecry: Give the OP two Bananas
Deathrattle: Replace the OP with Ragnaros the Firelord
