I just faced 5 different variations of Malygos druid and I saw that this became a thing recently.Do you think it will be a thing in the next few weeks or is it gonna disappear like many decks do?
In case it's a repost please let me know and I will delete it.
I've been playing several versions of Quest Malygos. It beats up on Warrior. It has chances against Mage, so long as they don't have Galaxy on five. But it's not good against Aggro. It's so difficult to find the right reactive tool (and there aren't many of them in the deck) let alone doing so without floating mana.
Maly seems better than the Quest OTK-Bees deck. But I'm partial. Bees was, for me, a disappointing card in general, so I'm kind of biased. I need to play a bit more with the non combo versions of Quest Druid (Nomi, King, and friends). My guess is that all these versions will have similar win rates against various classes, and one will emerge as the "best" and push the other ones out.
I haven't seen a single one yet, is it a florist-maly-floop game plan or what do they do?
I hope it does not become popular, because I find maly druid has always been super boring and repetitive, both playing with it and against it.
It runs Elise (but is NOT a highlander deck). You use Elise to generate extra Moonfire's (and possibly other good stuff). You will often Florist first. If Florist hits Maly, you can get a second 2-mana Maly by playing Elise (assuming of course you're not dead, and you really need the second one). If Florist hits Floop, you play the Floop next turn (2nd chance to hit Maly). If Florist hits Elise, you can play Elise for zero after playing a full cost Maly, or the turn after with Floop.
Malygos Druid isn't great right now. You probably just saw some people who were experimenting, and I'm sure they were ultimately not very satisfied with their win rates.
Quest Druid without Maly is much, much stronger.

I think this is an awful combo, just being experimented because of control warrior. I faced one with a homebrew highlander hunter and he had a tough time to hit me, even with bad draws (and plays) by me.
IMO, the current lists are bad and this deck will vanish. Maybe some other deck without the quest may be viable... but only time will tell
TBH: No. Gonk might as he's cheaper and doesn't require holding back Swipes.
I have no idea why people think Maly will work at all when they must draw specific cards WHILE completing a quest against the likes of Big Mage and control Warrior.

There are several combos available that don't even utilize Swipe. The simplest - play Elise with the following cards in hand: Maly, Moonfire x2, and Floop. Next turn drop one of the Maly's. And then on the next turn, you play Floop-Maly x2, and Moonfire x4. That's 44 damage. That takes care of everything except for Warrior.
Warrior is more complicated. You kind of need to have the Florist hit Maly for that one. If that happens, you can do 64 damage, or even 84 if you have saved your Innervate. Failing that, you have to improvise. I actually just beat the blank out of a Warrior without even playing Maly. Of course, he didn't draw his AOE - that was why it was so easy. But it is possible to win without doing the full combo.

IMO it's between the Nomi/King endgame and the Maly endgame. OTK-Bees seems too gimmicky to me.
But it's obvious that the deck needs some sort of defined endgame plan. "Summon cool Choose One things" isn't good enough against anything except for aggro decks that you've already stabilized against.
I suspect that Maly may ultimately the better version because all of the cards can be used more flexibly than King and Nomi, and it doesn't care about Freeze. Plus, the Nomi thing can have some fatigue issues if your opponent is clever.

Either floop or florist and yeah I kinda think as well that maly druid is kinda boring/bad to match up against

I have seen several, but never saw them win o.O
