The main thing is what deck are you playing and if you have all of the necessary cards for them.
Getting rank 15 with your own budget deck is nice, it means that you build fine deck by your own, and managed to take it to the rank where most of the players use decent decks.
But, if you play with a good deck, and you have all of the needed cards for it, rank 15 is not so impressive. With such decks you should get at least 50% WR, and if you played enough games, you could easily pass rank 15, and even get rank 5. I am not saying it to make you fill bad if this is the case, but you can't be satisfied with rank 15 with top tier deck. In fact, if you can't pass rank 15 with top tier deck, you are probably making obvious mistakes, and don't know some of the basics of this game. It is fine as a new player, but if you want to be good in this game, you must learn it.
It's very relative to what deck you play and much you play. Others have hit on these points but basically if you are using your own deck and are just casually playing the game then rank 15 is excellent. If you are grinding for hours a day using zoo puke, shaman or some warrior deck then it's not as good.
Known tier 1 & 2 Decks along with plenty of time are required to ladder up consistently. ;)
1st of all congratz man, rank 15 is a cool rank for the beginning. Allcan I say is that in the current meta it's hard to climb. My highest rank was 8 2 season ago, but now i can't even surpass rank 13 because of the full cancer aggro decksthat are boring me so much that maybe i will quit the game for a bit. I suggest u to keep learning, climbing and have fun. And pls do not listen who says to play cancer, it's not even fun. P&L
Just so you know, I am a very very casual players. Maybe 60 to 80 games per month and I recently set myself some goals. At first, I was aiming hard for R15 since the reward were attracting.
I managed to hit R15 consistently thru the seasons. My new goal is now to hit R10 every season. I hit R10 last season and I really hope to hit it this season too. Currently at R13 and keep working my way up !
If you're proud of what you have accomplished, be proud. Don't listen to people who say you're bad. Just play your game, enjoy Hearthstone and have fun. That's what I am doing. When I loss, it's fine. I try to learn from that loss.
And now, I can manage to R15 pretty "easily". Once I hit R13, it gets harder for me... so, I am working on that.
Rank 15 is not good .. but depends on what you play , the cards you have, and your skill .. try to play an aggro deck ,with a very cheap list , after10-15 games you ll learn how to play it in every matchup and also rank 5 shouldn t be a problem .. remember that with youtube you can learna lot of things
Go into your quest log and tap on your rank icon, it should show you some text. (Ps. I'm on mobile but it most probably works on all other platforms too).
For Rank 15, it says you're in the top 30% of players on ladder (Asian server). But yeah as others have already said, it might not be true as there are countless inactive accounts. Still, it's a landmark so congrats! :)
i'm a new rank 15 player here too.. Still a noob at heart but It felt great.
I run a business and have a wife and 3 kids - I am lucky to get 15-10 every month. 15 is good; 10 is great; 5 is the best : if you do not have a LOT of time to devote for the Legend grind. It is all dependent on your play time that you get in and your deck win ratio.
Ignore all the naysayers. Congratulations on reaching Rank 15. When I first started I was very obsessed about my rank. Now I just play for fun and completely ignore the meta and I never copy a deck. I can still reach Rank 10 or so and I'm more than content with that as my goals have changed. Don't let other people tell you what YOUR goal should be.
Up to Rank 5, the amount of time which you can invest in the game is a very significant factor. A worse player than you may well have a better rank if they are able to invest 5+ hours/week in the game.
Those of us with careers and kids will never be able to match their rank even if we have better win percentages.
Like others have said - overall, rank 15 isn't that great. But, depending on how new you are it can be a really good achievement. I have several friends that have played for over a year and have never broken rank 18. Rank 15 is about the point where people are using real decks for the most part, but still making a lot of mistakes. Keep up the good work and you'll keep climbing as you learn the matchups more.
First of all, congrats on your first rank 15. Making any ranking for the first time always feels rewarding.
As to what it means, I view hitting rank 15 as meaning that you have a decent collection and a working understanding of constructed play.
The next stage of progression is to get from 15 down to 10 or so. Whenever I start a season, I usually feel like that's a harder push than 10 to 5. Getting from 15 to 10 is all about cleaning up your play and running a competitive deck.
Rank 10 to Rank 5 is basically just putting in the time. If you're good enough to make rank 10, you can make rank 5 with enough patience.
I've never had the time for the grind to legend; but when I've cracked rank 5 (about 50% of the time), the quality of play increases pretty significantly progressing through rank 4 and below. Lots of people just take it easy after they hit rank 5. Also, losing the win streak really hurts.
What about for some one who started played a month ago? I've invested like 100$ on packs and karazhan. And the rest has been grind. Last month I got the 20 reward back, gone fishing. Today I hit rank 15 and was real excited and proud. I don't know many players so anyone who want to jump on my friend list I'd greatly appreciate. So far I have one who rage quit cause of the RNG. I'm still going strong and am going for 10 now. Btw got to 15 with just one deck. Spell Hunter....

If you only started last month and you are already rank 15, you are in great shape. Spell Hunter should be able to get you to rank 5, maybe even legend (although the meta is still being sorted out right now).
You should defintely be able to go for rank 10 by the end of the month.
If you want to add me, I'm Derek #13438. I usually hit rank 5 each month, and I definitely enjoy playing gimmicky decks for fun.

Quit complaining and just have fun with this game!
Rank 15 is great. Don't listen to triharders trying to put you down.
Great art can never be created without great suffering.

My record is rank 10 on Asia server, and as a FTP I consider that an achievment. I play about 20 minutes a day, on average.

I win due to skill and lose due to bad RNG. :D

It depends what deck you're using really...if your collection is limited and playing tier 3 decks...r15 sounds about right.
But if you're using tier 1 decks, r15 is not that good.
Gz on reaching rank 15!
Now enjoy a month of going against netdecks :)
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
