Warlock have just 1 problem - the lack of effective healing. (And the fact that zoo isn't working atm. Which isn't because of warlock cards, but because of the whole meta). The claims about shaman are nonsense, shaman was OP until un'goro, now it is completely fine.

posted a message on crafting legendarys

    Hi -some suggestions:

    1. There are no stand alone mast have legendaries ATM. The safest (neutral) crafts are thalnos and leeroy - but I won't craft them if you don't plan to put them in a deck you can already play.

    2. You have the cards for decent midrange hunter.

    3. You need old gods cards more than un'goro or MSoG cards.

    4. As a F2P player - the best bet to get large collection is by being better in arena. You need an average of more than 4 to get value from arena - and to get it you need to learn the game concepts. Try shadybunny stream or other good arena players.

    5. Consider crafting good epics over legendaries, but avoid crafting commons or rares, because you will eventually get them from packs (commons you are guaranteed to get all after around 70-80 packs. rares you will probably get 60-70%).

    6. anyway - craft only toward specific deck. don't craft legendaries that you don't need immediately.

posted a message on Why don't people play water rogue anymore?

I think the real reason is that water rogue isn't good against the common decks in the current meta.

Water rogue did well against aggro decks (by keeping up with their tempo, swinging the board with finja, and outvaluing them). It could also work well against mid-shaman and dragon priest, because it had the ability to win early enough. And against the control decks from MSoG (Reno and especially jade druid) - it was fast enough and effective enough.

But now? It's not good against quest rogue, won't kill taunt warrior fast enough, bad against freeze mage and so on...

It's just doesn't fit the meta (same reason jade druid disappear)

posted a message on Was Quest Rogue predicted?

I just watched Dog stream when he started to play with it: someone asked him to play it, then he said - it's crap, but I will do. After 2 or 3 wins he still said that it is crap, and he just got very good draws. It took him several games to realize that the deck is really good.

I agree with Old Guardian that the problem with the deck isn't that it is so effective - but the effect that it has on the meta. The reward of this deck is so huge, and comes so early, that it kills any slow archetype that relies on board. Jade only killed control decks that plan on going into fatigue, any other deck could kill it in some points of the game.

Exodia mage is very similar to freeze mage, you need to go through all of your deck, and if you do - you win. It was always easier to do such things against control - but it doesn't make the deck "control killer".

I tried with zoo list, but than realized you need to pass half of your deck to get it, and than it is too late even against slow decks.

I love experimenting with decks. But it should give some interesting thing to the board - nice combo, new way to get value, new idea to hold early game, etc. That's why your idea with bloodbloom was interesting, even though my feeling is that it won't work - but it worth trying.

Building ineffective midrange deck isn't feelin like experimentation - just weak build.

BTW - (1) taunt warrior and n'zoth builds can vary. There is a lot of space to experiment there. (2) Dog is actually doing very well with his exodia - using coldlight oracle for extra draw. He uses only 1 babbling book since you need to draw your whole deck anyway.

This deck build is much worse than the mage and the warlock you builded. The mage deck is well builded deck for idea that will probably not work (because it doesn't have enough support), the warlock is a discolock with bloodbloom spice, but this deck doesn't have real identity.

The deck is simply strictly worse version of the menagerie water rogue. Why strictly worse? water rogue had more aggressive tools (with their hero power, cold blood and more), more synergies (with stealth synergies), and more value generators (with burgle mechanics).

In general - effective mid-range decks have two ways to work: 1. put your opponent on a clock fast (examples: WoTG mid-range hunter. any type of zoo deck. water rogue). 2. win the tempo game early (by OP tools), and have very strong value/snowball tools (examples: dragon warrior with dragon synergy and drakonid value. mid-shaman with either jade mechanics or with the give 2 attack to your totems inspire. and OFC secret pally with dr after dr).

This deck is neither the first nor the second. It has some aggressive tools - especially with pirate package, and some value tools (hatchling, gadgeteer), but it doesn't have clear identity for either of the ways.

And... molten blade is a bad card. If you want a weapon - put it in your deck, why do you want to have random weapon? (it didn't work in the minion version, it won't work in the weapon version too).

    :D

I am not sure it will even be a niche deck, it's power level feels so weak.

About wild - it might be better than freeze mage (without the quest!!!). You need to add 5 cards to the usual freeze mage decks (for antonidas, double molten reflection and double sorcerer apprentice), you will obviously cut evolved kobold, but the four others aren't so obvious (it is burn spells and maybe alextrassa or 1 copy of ice barrier).

Freeze mage is very good in wild atm (60-70% for me in the last two seasons), but the problem with exodia version is that you have too much "dead draws" against aggro, since your combo rely on having all the pieces together (and your combo pieces are much worse when used defensively against aggro - compared to burn spells and alextrassa).

Zavas is good even if you just use it to mitigate the discard downside. Cruel is weak unless your deck is full of good expensive minions (elsewhere - play cairne), and I am not sure how is it works with zavas / silverware.

Felhount feel too weak to compensate the 2 discards (it's not in the power level of doomguard). The new idea in your deck is bloodbloom, I guess it won't be good enough, but it worth trying.

You misses my point. I didn't ask why you didn't put the quest here, I asked why did you put so many discard without the quest. I think the deck should be more zooish, with at most 1 copy of the 4 mana taunt, and without the 6 mana 5/5.

I came here from the link in the exodia mage decklist, because I am interested in building decks around the mage deck and discard lock (You can see my discolock build in my page. About quest mage - I gave up, it doesn't have enough support).

Why did you put so much discard without the quest?

And cruel is just too weak. The chances to get only 1/1 or 3/2 is too high. Would you play 6 mana 5/5 deathrattle summon a flame imp?

The other mage deck quest rely on different combo. But the real difference is that the other mage deck was built so poorly (see my comment there).

This deck is built more properly - but probably both won't work. The mechanic is just too unreliable (worse than the current freeze mage) taking too much time to develop, and won't compete with any aggro/midrange deck out there (and probably won't work even against control decks). Nothing to blame the OP, it seems that he knows it too.

posted a message on DE all extra copies to craft golden Syl and Rag?

If you want to save the golden version it will cost you 1200 dust. You get full refund on the 3200 investment, but lose the 1600 dust you would get on the normal one. Assuming you DE the regular the net cost is 1200.

if you just want extra dust, you gain nothing from crafting golden versions.

i dont lose 1600 simply cause i already had it xD, so the result is +400 for each one
I don't want to get more into the issue, and a lot said it before me - so it's my last reply about it.
If you craft the golden one - you invest 3200, and refunded by 3200. Zero dust gain before DE.
If you don't craft the golden - you will get 1600 dust.
    Now the options:
    1. you want to DE all. If you crafted the golden one - you will get 2000 from DE. If you didn't craft it - 400 from DE + the 1600 you got = 2000. same result.
    2. you want to keep regular one. If you crafted - you will get 1600 from DE, if you didn't - you got the 1600 from blizzard. same result.
    3. you want to keep both. You lost 1600 dust because you crafted golden (since if you wouldn't - you will get 1600 from blizzard). cheaper than the normal cost of golden.
    4. you DE the regular. You get 400 dust, instead of the 2000 you would have if you didn't craft the golden. Again cost you 1600 dust, or 1200 dust for the replacement.

Add a link for your deck.

It's completely legit in that circumstances (you suggest alternatives), and... it might give you some upvotes :)
