I love it. Seems to have an extremely high skill cap. Considering my apm is not great but still winning quite a bit. At 4789 mmr now. Have gone against monster 'meta' boards and won. There is deck tracking, counter play etc. And bigger isn't always better. Someone buffed their board dramatically agaisnt me and the fight went more towards my side because it his board my stat boosting minion quicker..... And that's just one tiny example of how high the skill cap is
Most guys here are not looking hearthstone as a wholesome experience. Battleground provides variety. It's not the whole thing. Somedays u play arena.. Somedays casual... Somedays battleground... U have to mix it up.
Could not play the mode in my account as I have not preordered yet. But tried it on a friends account. It seems like a fun alternative to Casual/Ranked, adventures and Arena. I see myself playing this a couple of times a week :)
Will preorder in the next days and trying it out more in depth then (not preordering only for battlegrounds. 100 packs and that Warrior Hero really sealed the deal for me)
IMHO I really think it was an oversight on Blizz part as they might have assumed the new mode would have brought in more players on day 1 and its just my luck to get that quest without having the mode.
I haven't tried it yet, but I'm glad it exists, good or bad (no opinion yet here), because SOME people will enjoy it, and it shows that active development is happening, even if I personally think the effort can probably be better spent somewhere else.
If Battlegrounds ends up being another way for players to enjoy Hearthstone, then that itself is a fine addition. If they intend on pushing this and making this an 'E-sports' thing, then it will not work without a changing metagame of minions and heroes.
Jesus Christ... Could some of you stop being so negative about everything, please? Thank you... -.-
It is complicated for them to do so. It has a lot to do with being really, really bad at the game. Because there is no chat in the game the bads don't have a proper place to vent their frustrations and negativity so they come here and whine, complain, rant and other. That's why the salt thread is so popular. I've sounded like Hooghout for a second so excuse me while I go and drink some bleach to purge such thoughts from my mind :)

The new game mode is a nice addition to the game. We should also let the game mode get out of Beta before saying anything too bad. Criticism is a good this but saying that the game is boring on the first day and leaving it at that isn't good, but saying what is boring about it and what you would like to change.

Auto battlers are not for everyone. And no, I'm not saying that people that like auto battlers are more intelligent and/or strategic or anything like that but it isn't appealing to everyone. I've been playing it all day and I'm having a lot of fun but I can see how it can be a bit boring after a couple games for some people. Just don't burn yourself, play constructed or arena (Whatever is your shit) and jump into battlegrounds from time to time.

You've had a lot of criticisms that are pretty easily answerable with a tiny bit of digging.
Edit - I went to the thread. Some of my questions were answered, so fair enough. But not everything. I am still waiting for a release schedule and how often this game will get support.
Also, after some 'digging', I found this forum post on the official website.
Yeah, don't point people to reddit when the official announcement is not even on the official pages of the actual game site. It is not my duty to go looking on third party websites for information that is 'official'. As someone said in the thread above...you CAN post in reddit and other places, even if Reddit is more popular.
I love it :) Getting into top 4 is super easy and, to me, grinding 10 gold per 3 wins is more fun in this mode.

Made an account just to shill for Blizzard, sad.

This is an excellent post.
I agree. :)

Yeah. The mode may die one day, but not for the farfetched reasons expressed by these frustrated and bitter in advance people.
The mode doesn't seem something epic, but it's definitely not a flop as a lot of people would like it to be. It's exactly doing its purpose.

The amount of virtue signaling in this thread is incredible.
