i like this adventure.. the only problem, rogue didn't get GREAt cards, just good arena cards... no one will change the 4 slot with tomb instead of violets and shredders. Also the 3 drop, yes its great but there is no good death rattle in rogue. If it could copy an opponent death rattle it would be way better! Rogues don't get really benefited using haunted creepers .. so i dunno... the one drop is just bad! i rather the buccaneer than this.. but we will see when its released
Secret Paladins and Midrange/aggro druid still best decks in meta. Druid even got turn 3 shredder, making them stronger. The problem with releasing "fun" but unviable cards is that if your deck is not optimized and utilising the best OP cards in the game, you will lose like 70% of your games, be it in casual or ranked. The only place those cards work in is below rank 20, where you maybe face people using basic decks.
I've experienced this before. Once, I needed to complete a mage quest but I already disenchanted most of my mage cards to craft a golden CW so I had to make a homemade mage deck. Despite putting good cards like shredders and D r. boom and sylvanas, and playing casual, I couldn't beat any of the current decks in the meta because all the current synergies that exist right now are "OP" in one way or another. Secret paladins with mysterious challenger, tempo mage with flamewaker, druid with combo, cw with removals + justicar etc. Thus, basic decks with no synergies or OP combos stand no chance against them. Most of these gimmicky new cards do not counter the current meta synergies and do not fit into any viable decks as well.

Turn 3 Shredder ? You've not seen the expansion and you are already making powerful assumption.
Shame on you.

lol ... everytime someone post a thread regarding how bad an expansion or state of the game or a balance issue people just attack him personally and disregard his point ...
i mean didn't you learn from tgt !! that useless expansion that should be named mysterious challenger expansion
shut up people..he's got a point .. and if you disagree ..grow up and dont attack a person to try to deny their point of view
I disagree with your opinion because your opinion isn't happy-go-lucky positive.
You must be salty, so I can be salty back.

But don't make too harsh assumptions; you can't say the set as a whole will be bad. A good majority of these cards are subpar, but you can still tinker with them, just not competitively. There are some notable ones. At least Blizz is trying to make things antiaggro..
Most of the cards are obvious garbage but there are a few cards that look interesting, the Paladin 4 Drop is good as either an aggressive or defensive minion and gives the deck a more flexible card than BGH in the removal slot. The Priest 2 Drop is insane as card advantage and card selection and fills out the curve of the deck both on T2 and on future turns on average, I think this could see a lot of play in Dragon Priest over the Cabal Shadowpriest and Shrinkmeister slots and all of the removal options are worth consideration even if they aren't chosen. The Warlock 2 Drop looks interesting in a more aggressive Zoo deck as the odds of pulling Soulfire or Power Overwhelming are relevant, it's a solid value minion. The Shaman 1 drop gives the deck an alternative to Zombie Chow, so Shaman's can present a quicker clock in the meta. The Druid 3 drop is a more aggressive Harvest Golem with Beast synergy, so maybe a borderline playable card has now become playable or Beast Druid gains momentum. Raven Idol seems playable to me as a more interesting version of Tracking, the chances of getting a good spell are pretty high off of 3 cards. The Mage spells increases burn density for aggro, that seems way more playable than Dragon's Breath. The 3 mana Legendary is straight up value, probably worth considering in stuff with Healbot, Coldlight Oracle etc and the 1 mana Legendary looks like a really good card for Druid since anything is better than Druid's hero power.
I think we'll see maybe half a dozen cards played in the set on the competitive scene, of all of the Adventures I agree it is hands down the worst tho' so maybe you just get to save your dust.
In all previous expansions, we at least had a tier 1 card that requires a competitive player to get them. BRM gave access to the most powerful deck in the meta(nerfed now of course). TGT gave secretdin, GvG was just overall really strong, and Naxxramas as well. But i dont think anything in LOE requires a buy. Most of it is trash tier with some like Brann Bronzebeard maybe seeing fringe play ala Baron rivendere. The best looking class cards seems to be from shaman, which still wont solve the fundamental problems it has. Same goes for rogue. Maybe the druid raptor? Its comparable to a harvest golem really.
I have enough gold right now, and i probably wont spend it on this expansion unless i'm proven really wrong. Can save it for the next xpac.

Id venture to say non of these cards are good enough to make a new deck type over. None of new 2 drops beat Knife Juggler, None of the new 4 drops beat piloted Shredder... Someone them dont even trade with it since they only get 2 attack. Face hunter only got stronger with this adventure making control decks even worse. Pally got another secret for christmas tree... i dont need to explain that.
Priest begs for 2 drop... It gets 1/2 body... Jeez nothx. rogue cards are strong but they dont generate a new archetype. Druid cards are cool but not better then current played druid cards. shaman got a nice 1 drop finaly... still 28 other bad shaman cards required. so guess what shaman still wont be played. shaman 4 drop doesnt trade with shredder and is too slow. Wont see play. Warlock 2 drop might see play? rest of the warlock cards added suck. warrior cards... HAHA bolster. the only legendary the might see play is sir finley.... he atleast 1/3 body... decent stats for 1 drop. Brann might see play also his stats are okish. Rest are just plain bad or too slow. the rest of neutrals are too situational or plain bad.

My main concern is that the cards can feed the Mill Rogue, which might make ladder more toxic.
do you even play ranked?
1. It's not an expansion, it's an adventure.
2. I think you were looking for the salt thread.

I like Unearthed Raptor and Tomb Pillager, both cards open up some new Options or even a new Archetype like Deathrattle Rogue or Nerubian Midrange.
The only class cards that suck pretty hard is imo Warlock.

Word. There are only a couple of anti-aggro cards. Hopefully, that'll be enough to shake things up a bit.

you can include brann bronzebeard in handlock for turn 3 into turn 4 twilight drake with like 12+ health :D
also im calling murloc pally to be a tier one deck

I was hoping for some more useful cards and something exiting but i guess this will have to do. :(
