I am a fairly new (less than 6 months) F2P player. I have 3600+ gold.
I beat the Lich King primarily with Priest and I mainly use an Inner Fire deck on ranked. I know Onyx Bishop and Barnes are supposed to be fairly useful Priest cards.
I've played arena once and went 2-3 (although I should have won the first game, I stupidly triggered a Deathrattle to give them a 5/5 thinking it'd need a turn to get ready).
Should I just put all my gold into arena runs to build my deck or is it fun to play through Karazhan and I may as well get it before it goes.
Using 3,6k gold in arena sounds like a couple months long venture, and if you enjoy the fair setup of arena, instead of the p2w in ranked ladder. Definitely go for it. However if you just want to get good stuff fast, just buy some 30 packs and make some decks.
Well Karazhan has very very powerful cards from each class that see a lot of play and also a lot of the neutrals do too, cards like Maelstrom Portal, Swashburglar, Priest of the feast, Medivh's valet, Cloaked huntress, Barnes, Medivh and Arcane giant come to mind so Karazhan is needed if you are planning on taking competitive hearthstone on a more serious way, and for sure they all are a lot of fun, the only problem would be that the set is rotating on April so that could be a problem for a budget player, if it isn't then go for it, you'll notice the power increase by including this cards on your deck.
Unless you’re prepared to play wild, karazhan is going out in March when the next expansion releases, so I suggest you don’t get it since even if you were to uncraft all the cards in karazhan the dust won’t be worth the gold you’re putting in
Arena requires a lot of work to get good but when you do it's lucrative and pretty fun.
As a new player I think you're statistically more likely to get better value from the adventure.
Thanks, my logic for Arena was that it would give me a taste of different classes and decks and if I hit 3 wins it's pretty much break even on gold investment of just buying packs anyway.

Thanks, I still have 2 free arena passes to use too. I'm in no hurry to build a deck quickly. Happy to bide my time and do dailies and build decks bit by bit.
I think I might buy the 1st wing and see how quickly I get through that whilst still picking up dailies.

Thanks, it could be interesting to give them a try over the next couple of months. Not started to seriously get into ranked yet. Did enough to hit rank 20 each of the last 2 months and then went back to casual to keep grinding gold with dailies.
