There is no chat option and there never will be one, but are we missing out or should we thank our lucky stars? What are your thoughts, and what positive and negative scenarios can you imagine. Could it add a new level to mind games, could it lead to fun banter or just you learning ten new ways your mum can be savagely ravaged?
I'm actually quite glad there's no chat option. If I faced a big priest and had the option to chat with him I'm pretty sure I'd lose my account within a day.

Wouldn't that be awesome? Face an opponent, annoy him to death without saying a word, receive all kind of insults and threats from his part, then report him at the end of the match (a report feature in-game would be obligatory after implementing a chat) and pray to god for Blizzard to ban his account.

You: "you mf prick! Stop playing that stupid cancerous deck"
Opponent: "stfu u stoopid kid. No brain. Fail. MonkaS Keepo"
......
15 seconds left on the clock. You hastily play something trying to not lose your train of swearing and hoping your words hurt more than your opponent's words hurt you.
End turn.
Rinse and repeat for your opponent.
Basically, HS would become a permanent Nozdormu typing simulator with psychological manipulation training.
Install WoW and go to trade chat, or alternatively start up a random MOBA and look at chat.
On a smaller scale that is what a chat option in HS would end up looking like.
Spamming the opponent with copy pasta walls of text just to troll them during their turn, confiding intimate things about their mother, sexual preference, or a suggestion about when would be the ideal time to end their life would all also swamp HS matches if chat was available.

Beautiful!!! :D :D :D
If their report system was anything like WoW's they probably wouldn't even get temp banned 90% of the time.
With the amount of "Emotes make me vomit" Threads on this Forum I can only begin to imagine the sheer amount of Shit that Blizzard would have to handle if they implemented a live Chat Feature.
With half you children unable to accept a simple "Greetings" without thinking it a declaration of War, how the hell would any of you handle actually talking to someone? In real time? With whole sentences used?
The game would be more toxic, a lot more. If emotes annoy ppl and distract them, imagine if they "had to" reply to chat msgs lol, they would misplay all the time and then get angry even more. Chat in HS is rly not a good idea for so many reasons.

I for on would pass on that.

😱
😂 so much this.
the problem is not that people is bashing you, is that you are soft and let them affect your day to day.
I would be fine with in game chat, if there was an option like squelch, because I would turn that shit off at the beginning of every game I ever played. If the community isn't mature enough for emotes, the idea of an actual dialogue during the game is completely ridiculous.

Opp: Excuse me ^&*!()*#.

Opp: Face the wrath of my *&#^&^% [the class you hate the most] deck.
