Tempo Rogue: 15 Zoo Warlock: 11 Control Warrior: 8 - Bomb Warrior: 5 Midrange Hunter: 7 - Mech Hunter: 1 Big Mage: 7 Control Shaman:6 Token Druid: 2 Miracle Priest: 1 Mech Paladin: 1
Tempo Rogue was brought by everyone except for 1 player (Roger) who will regret not bringing it. It looks like it is the best deck in the format, isn't it? The core of the deck is pretty similar throughout, but there appears to be disagreement as to playing Myra's, Togwaggle, both (LFYueying is a crazy man), or neither. It will be fun to see this play out.
Worth noting that Viper, Languagehacker, and Bunnyhoppor brought a more miracle style build, which looks like it's targeting Warrior. (Personally, I prefer Togwaggle builds, but a lot of that is probably based on the fact that it's still new and fun. I also think it gives you greater game against decks like Warrior.)
Warrior was also brought by almost every player. It appears the eastern players prefer bomb warrior to the Elysiana control warrior. A competitor or two brought a hybrid. I feel that's definitely not the right way to go.
The Zoo Warlocks are all the Magic Carpet Variants. Some play Rafaam, most play Sea Giants, which is probably the better choice. Tyler plays both and Leeroy, somehow. That feels a bit heavy to me.
It's surprising to see Token Druid's lack of representation, given it's recent success on ladder. Ike's version is insane.
A good amount of midrange-beast hunter, which we don't see a lot of on the ladder because it's old and boring. But it appears to be the favorite to the more popular mechrattle and bomb hunters. Only Roger brought a deathrattle hunter, because Roger made some strange choices.
Most of the Shamans are controlling. A83650 brought a more aggressive token version. The control shaman's are kind of all over the place. For example, Hunterace decked two copies of Ancestral Healing.
The mage decks are all book of specters-dragon decks. They are also all over the place. They remind me of the old Spiteful Summoner decks. The good cards you need, then a bunch of tech garbage that tries to keep you alive.
KAD brought Nomi Priest, which is awesome. In limited testing, I feel like that deck is too one note. But obviously KAD is an infinitely better player than I am.
Roger, continuing his trend of bringing weird shit, brought a VERY SLOW deathrattle paladin. It is worth noting that it does not play ANY AOE. Not a single card.
I am inclined to agree that Warrior and Rogue are overtuned. I would caution that the metagame is still very young. The Warrior and Rogue decks were easy to build because they are virtually the same decks we've played in previous formats.
The Shaman and Mage decks are still very young in their refinement period. I don't think enough people are playing Beast Hunter.
Zoo is absolutely awful against the field, prepare to see it single handedly tank for every player who runs it!
You are not kidding. Zoo players better hope they can queue into a lot of mage, because that's about the only positive match up.
I'd disagree a little. My Mage decks run plenty of tools to survive a Zooish onslaught and try to get to the later game where Khadgar\Power of Creation can get a purchase and swing the board.
True, I have to draw well and get a little lucky from cards like Messenger Raven, Magic Trick and Blast Wave but its not a total rollover by any means.
As for the decks bought to the World's, I think they are a good representation of the current Meta. Which is as it should be.
And Roger can suck a dick in the 9th Circle of Hell.

FWIW, HSReplay has the Khadgar Dragon Mage v. Zoo match up at almost 70/30 in favor of the zoo.
Well, I assume that the World Champs might play a little better than your opponents :-p
And you are playing a version (Kibler IIRC) that no one in Champs is playing. Theirs are all book of specters decks. (Personally, I think most builds will morph into something similar to what you're playing. It seems better to me.)
Ugh, seeing this makes me think I was right about rogue. I knew that Rogue is very versatile in terms of winrate, and choosing that class in tournament sounds a perfect idea if you want a high chance to win in many matches. I found so many rogues in ranked mode.

Yeah, it's a shameless Kibler Ripoff. But it works. I've tried Book of Specters and Archmage Arugal decks but they just don't work in the current Meta.
This is a much more adept way to deal with large boards of Weenies. I've had Token Druid players quit after I cleared the Fourth Board of Minions.
And Khadgar plays never get old, regardless of the opponent.
Suffice to say I'm having a great time at the moment, win or lose.

Yeah - What I find most scary is that it is the best tempo deck, and with the addition of 2 or 3 cards, it also becomes an awesome value deck.
Edit: found the brackets. Plugged in the new data (HSReplay stats, brackets, lineup archetypes) into my old spreadsheet and the results don't look good for the future integrity of the game lol
Right now is probably the most inaccurate it'll ever be due to the new meta however. The sheet doesn't take into account tech cards, weird builds and player skill, only archetypes. There's also a few decks that aren't defined on HSReplay like some of the shamans. The handmage data might also be off because it's a fast evolving deck
Edit 2: If anyone's wondering how it works: The sheet has each deck from a line up fight each other deck in the opposing lineup. Then the most favored deck from both sides are banned and the average is taken from the remaining decks fighting each other again. "R1" is the probability the player wins their first series. "R2" is the probability they win their second one weather they won R1 or not. It is weighted by who the player is more likely to face in either case. "2-0" and "0-2" are the chances they'll have that score respectively. "R3" is the probability they'll win their third match assuming they went 1-1. "Top 8" is their chances to get out of group stage via 2-1 or 2-0
Here is a link to the deck lists.

Meta is fine guys, nothing to see here.....

Not in my basement Rank dude. I can win through opponents misplays alone. I'm using this list....

It does OK Vs Zoo and other Swarmy Decks. But as I said, I have to draw well and hope that my opponent makes mistakes or draws badly.
