Genn and Baku are gone, along with the SMOrc machine Doomguard, only surpassed by Leeroy or King Krush. But you can only have one of these in your deck. So I can see why they haven't been touched.
Well damn Blizzard, thank you for preventing two cards from completely overshadowing an entire year worth of expansions. I have Baku, but will I miss seeing him?.Mnope, not sure of that.I am sorry that my crafted Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk might get his use gutted because of it, but hey. I'm sure we'll make it work.
I currently run an Elemental Mage deck that is neither odd nor even and still find Jan'alai to work pretty well. I think we'll see Him (her/it?) still fairly prominent in the new meta
Genn and Baku are pushed to Wild 1 year earlier but the problem is still there. Hey im not complaining because they fixed standard, but that doesnt mean they can dump shit into wild and forget about that format.

Oh yeah I'm not saying it's a dead card. Let's see what the expansion/s bring.

But Wild isn't really supposed to be all that competitive or serious (they should actually support the ladder less and crazy, fun meme play more there). Wild will only get worse and worse. Trying to support balance in Wild is futile and, realistically, untenable.
ive been saying this for months. since ben brode left this game is much much better. stupids genn and baku were their last gifts to this game, thank god he left.
next year is gonna be the best year for HS, by a mile.
Ok there's hope again and promise in this year it seems like they finally started listening to players.
The HOFed cards are all cards that were requested by a lot of people and I agree with them actually, BUT I still don't think the current system of the classic set is good.
2 stuff that I wanted but are still not happening are achievements and rotating base set. (maybe next year :/)
Good things I heard:
-It's good they rotated Genn and Baku early since those cards are so damn problematic to the game, we had a full year of them.. it's fine, they had more than enough spotlight.
-A promise to keep contact with the community and run events on ladder to keep it fresh.
-The return of full fledged adventures, paid, but I expect them to have bigger rewards in comparison (I assume 700 gold per chapter, so RIP 2800 gold, at least it's something to aim at, currently was wasting around 3K gold on packs during the low periods of expansions).
-Random card backs is actually something very easy to do and I am surprised it's comes out as a "new feature"
All in all I think this year will keep me interested in the game after all, GJ Blizzard finally on the right track.

Here's to a promising year!

BSM still plays Jan'alai, so it'll be fine. 2 Dancing fire eaters + 2 other pings is all you need.
No more odd mage burn. Nice
Btw RegisKillbin said in a ytb video that one of his options for HoF was to rotate Genn and Baku. Mmm

Wow - this is HUGE and really soon.
Hm,thanks. Will look into making him work again anyways.
