Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone has had some experience with the new 2 mana Execute since the patch in various warrior decks? I've been playing Wild Patron Warrior and I've needed that 1 extra mana so desperately sometimes. Almost makes me consider not running double.
How have your experiences been in Control/C'Thun/N'Zoth Warrior, Standard and Wild Patron Warrior, and Dragon Warrior? I figure these are the top three warrior decks at the moment and just wanted people's opinions on the card.
i've been running double execute and losing to 4 unexecutable smorcking mana 7/7s all over the place because i must wait a turn to execute them, the execute nerf witohut giving the pit lord treatment (went from 4 mana 7/7 to 4 mana 5/6) to flamewreathed faceless was a really dumb idea.
" ey guys, would you run a balanced card ? Cause I only run op shit ya know."
Nowadays, what wins games? Balanced cards, or OP shit? Now you understand why I questioned if running 2x Execute is still good enough lol.
It could also have to do with playing in Wild versus Standard. What is there to execute in Wild? Dr. Boom and Mysterious Challenger are the best targets, but do those two cards alone merit 2x Execute? Maybe? I dunno.
Execute still OP removal. Dealing 1 damage with warrior is extremely easy.
Should have been 3 Mana to make it less playable.
It will not see play at 3 mana, not when Hex and death are both much better. Even at 2 mana, I expect alot of faster Warrior decks to cut it for more early game.
my experience in both standard and wild playing fatigue warrior after the nerf says keep 2
patron can probably give up one for something else they want like draw or more pings/ whirlwinds but patron sucks in standard thanks to the meta, in wild though I expect them to drop one, have not played much of wild patron
dragon will drop at least one, maybe both, or possibly dragon will become more controlling and still keep both.
traditional control will keep both unless a one of of charge and magnataur alpha is found out to be really good, but I doubt it.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
Keeping two even for tempo decks like Dragon Warrior because there isn't really anything that fills a similar role for it. Decks that can run Shield Slam successfully already run it, and most warriors run 2 copies of Blood To Ichor, leaving only Inner Rage, Whirlwind, and Cursed Blade (jk) for cheap "removal" that could be put in that slot. None of those really kill anything that you'd want to Execute, and if we look at the 2 mana slot, you might as well just play Execute.

ofc still using both
You could try running the 1 mana charge vs. the 2 mana execute. I expect alot of Warriors to make the switch!
1 mana charge seems good, Magnataur Alpha value..
execute still the best removal

Both Execute and Charge will still be good, just in their own decks. I doubt there will ever be a good Warrior deck that runs 2 of both.
I would have run 3, if I could.
Dead but dreaming

Execute isnt broken anymore but it is OP. The nerf didnt stop it from being the best removal in the game. I would run 3 if I could.
yes i'm still running them, it's an amazing removal tool, i was salty the other day but execute is still worth double slots.
