Hey guys, I am running this deck at the moment... Well "running" is an akward choice of words since I am not really running it, but I am trying to learn how to play it effectively. I know it can be a very good deck and I am looking for some tips on how to play it, how to mulligan, what I am looking for while playing it, etc.
I played maybe ~15 games in casual, I ended with a winrate of somewhat 40-50% so... I am doing things wrong. And, I ran out of steam quite a few times too, which I KNOW it should not happen with the number of card draw in the deck.
I feel like replacing Rafaam with Grom would help as it's a finisher. As a Warrior main, I feel that the current meta favors tempo and control warrior.
Patron is one of the hardest decks to play, it requires skill and experience. So don't expect a lot of success with it straight away.
You should definitely replace Rafaam with Grom and maybe finley with another Korkron.
But in general I don't like the inconsistence of patron warrior. It's main win condition is on patrons and some classes have really easy ways of dealing with them. Tempo warriors is probably better in this meta as it has a lot of win conditions, that can't be dealt by 1 hellfire, brawl, excavated evil or equality.
The deck in Standard is not really that great, IMO. Too reliant on draw order and synergies working. If your hand is loaded with the wrong cards at any given point(especially early) you get behind FAST nd dont have a lot of ways to catch up. If the Patrons dont come out on time or Priests play thier BS board removal.... ugh oh. Just saying, its hard to play and requires a lot of decision making that only comes with saddle time. I guess.
But, dont expect miracles or smooth sailing that often. Its not like pre-nerf where the charge allowed immediate board impact/damage. Running out if steam is common - Ive added Rags as a second game ender. If The Patrons and Grom are used up/not drawn.... thsi deck has NO other ways to really win. Frothing never lives long enough or work out, it seems so hes not a reliable finisher IMO.
Step 1: Take out Raffam, you're not playing control warrior you're playing patron. Step 2: Add grom or leeroy (rag can be ok too but he's much less reliable. Step 3: Play a bit more, patron is a deck that you need to get used to, before you become good at it ^^ Step 4: Read some mulligan guides if you feal that you have a hard time doing the right mulligans against your opponents :)

I win due to skill and lose due to bad RNG. :D
