I posted this somewhere else too, but just wanted to leave this on hearthpwn... something tells me dark peddler is really strong, people are telling me im crazy but I just can't see it being anything less than OP.
Probably the card I am most excited about testing.
Another card I want to test a lot is Reno Jackson, and since I haven't posted any of my decks here on Hearthpwn for a while, here is my take on Reno Jackson for you guys :3
Tried it out in Handlock and Zoo as well (so much hype ha ha).
Turns out that the card is not a bad turn 2... and provides some kind of value (trade with something early on while giving you ''something'' that's better then a Spare Part. Warlock 1-mana cards are STRONG. Simply.

I have not tried in handlock yet, but it is a really nice fit in zoo. So nice to be able to choose based on matchup. I really like the discover mechanic.

Think of it like this in Handlock...
You get a 2/2 + something releveant 3 times out of 4 from the discover card (either a removal spell from the Warlock, which they have 4 of in Coil, Power, Corruption and Soulfire or an ok minion). Since you paid 1-less health and 1-more mana... it's ok to me. The card will generate at least 1-for-1 and normally... 1.5 for 1... in term of value trading.

Simply put, Discover is a strong mechanic, and even stronger when you narrow it's scope and stick it on a card costed correctly. Dark Peddler is strong, and I am blown away so many pro's think otherwise. But I guess we'll see. I think this set actually has some sleepers in it, and I am seriously hoping that a mechanic as strong as discover (plus other cards like Brann) will be enough to have some other competitive decks enter the meta.

I've heard enough advice on Dark Peddler by pros... often says that it's a strong card. Just they can't see it fitted somewhere. Still... Dark Peddler is in term of cost-efficiency, one of the most insane 2-mana drop (3-mana some may argue) in the game.
1 ) It's Warlock 1-mana related. Warlock has the strongest array of 1-mana cards in the game (Voidwalker, Flame Imp, Power Overwhelming, Soulfire, Mortal Coil are all great paired with Corruption and Blood Imp... )
2 ) Stats-wise... the card is insane. 2/2 for 2 is what Warlock needed to make this 2-mana drop competitive. Plus the value from the discover card is insane... since you get to decide.
3 ) It's an efficient anti-aggro tool as well as an aggro tool. Flood the board... simply. Handlock can still play around their curve quite smoothly (by holding the 1-mana card for hand purpose... by playing it on T3 while tapping to stagger the early game)...
You can also make some weird plays like Tap + Peddler + Mountain Giant at some point lol.

To be honest I am not familiar with a wide array of pro players, so my claim that pros think this card not worth experimenting with is, in all likely hood, hyperbole. But the few I have seen seem to either dislike it or are not willing to experiment.
I am surprised to see that some don't know where it "fits". It seem to work well with both handlock and zoolock. I will need to do some experimenting myself. That being said, I am not a great player, highest rank ever being 5, so I could be waaaaay off base.
I was looking at my Zoo deck and wondering how to fit Dark Peddler in. I'm tempted to cut Haunted Creepers, but they're nice and sticky. What did you guys cut?

Personally I replaced 1 of my Flame Imps and a teched in 2 drop (mistress of pain) but I am just testing anyway

Lifecoach and Kolento made great reviews of this card in particular. Lifecoach said it would smooth out the curve for Handlock while giving them early board. Kolento rated it as his second best card of the expansion.

Not to mention it is another card in the hand for drakes and mountains, so u basically "cycled" a card on T2 AND played a (weak-ish) 2drop. Doesnt seem so bad to me :)

Exactly. On T2... you get the luxury of tapping while developping something on T3 (alongside the body of Peddler... which is quite worthy in my humble opinion).
Peddler will simply smooths out the curve will helping a lot against aggro.
Peddler trades quite well against early drops... making it a valuable card for the hand size and the board state at the same time. That's insane. We'll need to review the cutting of Mountain Giant for Eerie Statue. Maybe Ancient Watcher will simply get cutted away for Eerie Statue while Dark Peddler could replace Watcher ...
I'm not decided yet... but man is LOE not as TGT was for Handlock...

It is. Its super flexable. It fills out your curve at every point in the game and has sextuple flexability. Not only do you get the 3 options from discover but you can also choose from making it a 2 drop or a 3 drop giving you a total of 6 options.

Definitely not 6 options since you need to commit at some point where you play the card then discover resolve.

Doesn't change the fact that it's insanely flexable.

I dont think Eerie Statue will replace ANY Giant, its simply too inconsistent in manner of the attack ability, it can replace ancient watchers tho, yeah (or at least one of them) and u wont have to "sacrifice" one of your giants for huge shadowflame.
I found Twisting Nether to be really nice for coming back from bad situations. My best moment so far is pictured in the attachment. Druid went Force + Innervate + Roar to put me to 5. Lethal would be easy the following turn. Guess he hadn't been introduced to Mr. Jackson yet.

I am definitely loving the dark peddler so far, stuck him in a zoo deck. Getting an extra PO or a 1 cost demon is pretty sweet.
