Admittedly I'm not the best player, I achieved rank 14 before the reset (that's the highest I've ever been). I decided to give zoolock a whirl and I'm not seeing why people think it's one of the best decks in the game. To me it seems downright weak. If my opponent drops a big minion compared to my board of small minions, I can either trade them in and nearly wipe my own board (unless I have PO, in which case a more favorable trade can be made) or I can ignore it and go face. The problem is, if I ignore it and go face, I usually get punished with a board clear and then opponent drops big minion after big minion and I simply can't come back.
Like I said, I'm not that good of a player, but I'd really like to know why everyone calls this deck broken overpowered. Am I just getting extremely unlucky as well?

The main win condition for zoo is often burst damage at the end, so you want to not over-extend too much. Play just enough to maintain your board and bait out their removals and don't go all-in right away. It also helps to count your damage and plan your trades to be the most efficient.
Perhaps the deck your are playing is a little off? You did not post what cards you are playing.
Zoo thrives on buffs and trading up (if trading is required). I recall a few games against Zoo where i'm able to clear their board all for a 1/1 Imp vs my Druid of the Claw (lets say); To clear they drop 2 x Abusive Sergeant and Dire Wolf Alpha, that's trading up. Sacrificing an insignificant token to counter the oppoents 4/5 or 6 drop.
1 Drops are key for Zoo. Being able to get face damage in early helps you push for lethal before your opponent can find the answers to it. Argent Squire, Flame Imp and Possessed Villagerre staples.
Hmm. Yea I already mentioned some scenario's that happen in my original post. Maybe I'm slightly overextending? (although I always thought the point of zoo was to just vomit your hand turn after turn). As for Gormok, he does seem very good in a deck like this, but I don't have him. Don't know if that would significantly hinder the deck or not.

Best way is going Youtube and watch how pro player play Zoo. You either bad at this game or your collection suck, which I doubt cos zoo is a cheap deck. Zoo always tier 1 most of the history of this game.
For your question, Gormok is nice to have but not a must have, some pro dont put him in their decks.
It's kinda hard to determine what is wrong without seeing your deck and knowing how you play.. i think most people can only give you some general guidelines on what to do.. perhaps you can add someone who is good and they can watch and teach u on what to do

Yeah, basically either watch some experts play the deck on YouTube, or have an expert Zoolock player friend you to hep you out. Either one would work pretty well.
Also, as to Gormok, a Zoolock played him against me, and I'd say he's a pretty good card, not an autocraft, but definitely don't disenchant him if you get him.
The meta's dominated by warriors, i.e zoo's ultimate counter-class.

Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.
and I can't advance past rank 18. My highest rank I've ever achieved was before standard with Midrange Druid. I play on EU.
Any tips?
Your list is bad, remove the giants or keep one at most.Keep either two doomguards or leeroy and soulfire .Add abusive and replace flame jungler with squire.
Zoo has high skill celling but also one of the lowest skill floors in the game.So with a decent zoo deck you will reach rank 5 easily and maybe even legend if you play many hours, although since everyone plays zoo and shaman you will be countered hard by warriors.
This is what i can give you as advice atm.I wish i could help you more but i have to see you play in order to do it.So have fun.
One last thing, when you have lethal in hand you have to spam emotes at least 30 seconds before you kill your opponent. It's an omerta law for all aggro decks :P

This is what i currently use. Its all about board control, getting more favorable trades then your opponent. If you lose the board and cannot re-establish it quickly you might as well just conceide.

It's basically your average zoo. I put in ooze to deal with all the warrior weapons but that's about it

For Trading up you need abusive sergeants, Dire Wolf Alpha, Dark Iron Dwarf, Argent Horserider and even Gormok the Impaler sets up decent trades.
This is how Zoo can be super powerful.

Are you on NA server? I don't mind spectating you, or you could watch me play a match or two. It helps a lot. What is your decklist?
Yeah im on NA, i'll add you whats your btag
