I've played against one quest rogue since nerf and I lost. I think it still has a pretty good WR against cotnrol
That's understandable. Against control, it has enough time to play out that 5th minion to complete the quest. But if it loses harder to aggro decks now, and it's winrate also suffers against midrange due to the nerf, then it just isn't worth it to play the archetype in the hopes that you only queue up against slow decks.
It might still win against control or with a nut draw against quicker decks than control, but in general it is now absolutely horrendous against aggro and the winrate against midrange dropped also. I think it is not a viable ladder deck any more, at least not in ranks 5 to legend (but also below that it is not good).
I tried yesterday, 9 losses and 4 wins. Quest rogue is definitely out of the meta.
Did you use an old list or did you make some adjustments?
The same old list. The victory message just appeared when I had the luck to get Igneous Elemental and Fire Fly at the start. I don't see any good modifications at the moment.
The problem with the "play a minion" keyword in this quest is that it does not encourage a midrange build to complete the quest, so now it's a dead card.

Yea, now is too slow to aggro and not efficient to mid range. Maybe KotFT make quest rogue great again

I think Lifesteal being a flagship mechanic of the expansion means classes will see the healing they need this time around instead of Aggro consistently being able to race them to an untimely death. Rogue might see an efficient Lifesteal minion make it into the deck, who knows.
I won a game against QR (only 1 encounter since the nerf tbh).
And the deck felt more fair to play against. The quest was finished on turn 6, followed by casting the reward on the next turn. My opponent didn't have the cheesy turn I normally see, he tried to make a board, but because most of his previous cards in the hand were bouncers, he had less threats on the board. I prepared for his turn with Bloodmage Thalnos and AoEs and I once again gained board control.
feels pretty lackluster...now prepare to see the next cool card nerfed into the ground and continuing a vicious cycle because blizzard doesn't want to nerf charge...*sigh*
