Big Priest is highroll, when you get the nuts hand it's tier S, when you don't it's tier 4.
Highlander is awesome, very high tier 1. People seem to be of the impression there aren't allowed to be good decks without being cancer. I mean I'm 100% sure anyone who loses a game comes to this forum to complain about it and call it a cancer deck. Priest has never been Tier 1 and tbh it's nice to see that priests will be. Raza won't be in standard too long and without it the DK isn't very good. It is beatable, unlike jades. There have been far worse decks around. I wish people could be a little bit more objective and street smart about this game. We are in an age of nothing but net decking.
But yeah, stop complaining about strong decks. If Priest wasn't at the top, something else would be there. If that deck got nerfed then something else would come and it would be an endless cycle if everyone got what they wanted on here.
Priest is in a really nice spot. Priest isn't oppressive, but has few strong decks with a good amount of counters. Big Priest instaloses to aggro most of the time. Razakus is completely draw dependent due to its Highlander nature.
Anyone complaining about priest is really an idiot.
Priest is broken for about ~90% of players. Maybe the top 10% can deal with them, but if you aren't using Druid you have a slim margin to win other than a good aggro draw
Some people are incredible. Priest has been bad forever......and as soon as he gets a fighting chance....they want him nerfed ! Ridiculous.
What a whiner. Some variation of Priest has been brought to HS Championships for as long as I can remember. The same cannot be said for Hunter, Paladin, and Warlock. Yes Warlock is just coming out of MSoG where they were OP, but that was their first spotlight since zoo realistically.
priest aint broken. A year agro Priest was in its one of it worse spots and now priest is better people want it to be changed. I feel like the meta is full of MUCH more broken decks than priest atm.
Pirate warrior has been strong for nearly a year, druid has been rampaging for a month, Quest mage seems very uninteractive at times...i feel like priest is GOOD, but not broken.
Like big priest is a dumb deck...however its a rng deck, which means it most looses to aggressive game, Raza + dk deck is really powerful, but raza is leaving in a few months so the DK will be ALOT worse.
Its where it should be right now, has a strong deck, a rng deck and a few fun decks like miracle priest.
If the changes do dethrone Druid (although I'm not entirely convinced they will), then it's likely Priest will be the top class.
At any given point in Hearthstone's history, there will always be one class that is statistically on top of the others. This is unavoidable. If Priest was then nerfed, people will then go on to complain about the next class that is on top (probably Paladin in that case). The cycle of Hearthpwn moaning continues.
Priest is strong. It is not broken like Jade Druid or the old Patron Warrior or Undertaker Hunter.
I think the biggest problem, most people have is that priest is a reactive deck most of the times and people don´t know how to handle it, when I play as highlander, many many times i got the feeling the opposition is handing me the board over just to ran in any counter. Yes, we have a lot of counters, but we also have a very messed up deck list with little consistency, so try to diverse your attacks and don´t throw all your eggs in one basket and you can play fine against us, but don´t be surprised, when we just clear the board after you play 3x 5+ attack minions in one turn. We are in our comfort zone as long as we can dictate the speed of the game.
As for big priest: do you also want red or black on roulette to be nerfed? because it is simply the same, either they go big or they go home. (actually they go home more often than that).
Most of you behave in a way like the school bully, who beat up the nerd regurarly, but then the nerd fights back and you start crying....
priest aint broken. A year agro Priest was in its one of it worse spots and now priest is better people want it to be changed. I feel like the meta is full of MUCH more broken decks than priest atm.
only "much" more broken deck is jade druid. nothing else, and they are pretty close in terms of power...
tier one decks include Highlander priest, pirate warrior, mid-range paldain and A few other druid decks.....so yep...there are other decks close to highlander priest power
People aren't able to make a distinction: what is overpowered and need some nerfs, and what is simply powerfull enough to be the best around but without being absolutly broken. At the moment Highlander Priest and Big Priest are very powerfull indeed, but none of them is gamebreaking as Jade Druid or Pirate Warrior (during the MSoG meta) was. Or Secret Paladin back there or Undertaker Hunter.
They claim something is broken just because they lose to it and there are tons of them around (everyone who simply netdeck will always craft and play the best around, no matter what). People will always cry on the best deck around, but will never understand what is broken and what is not.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
I think the poll is a bit limiting it isn't overpowered but it is so frustrating to play against to the point you don't care if you win or loose either way you don't have fun. So could of used a balanced but horrible to play against option or something
i think the exodia mage is more important than the priest, since the exodia mage has unlimited freeze effects and alot of spells and secrets to survive, the only thing is good against her is Dirty Rat and some times its go right and pull Archmage Antonidas or Sorcerer's Apprentice but with the new spell Simulacrum its wouldn't be hard to get a second Sorcerer's Apprentice in hand so the Dirty Rat isn't as valuable against exodia mage as before, and the another good thing to beat her is aggressive decks, and as you all know aggressive decks nerfed so they are not valuable as before like murloc pala-pirate warrior and other murloc decks is depended in Murloc Warleader, and some other overall combo-breaker like Gnomeferatu but i don't see it in ranked matches specially when you don't see a good amount of warlock decks that compete in the ladder.
imo the thing that im scared of is after the nerf the exodia mage will be like druids now because i play jade druid and i played 9 matches against a exodia mage and i just won 1 and it was even a miss click (he killed his own Sorcerer's Apprentice by accident by fireballing it) cuz the mages keeps freezing my golems and Doomsayer and i couldn't find a good answer for it and most of the times i don't even break the first Ice Block (After All My Fear Is From EXODIA MAGE Not From The Priest)
Highlander is strong now but manageable. I'm very concerned that it's going to be overpowered once the nerfs go through because they're disabling most of what it is weak against.
Target of the meta still jade druid because of jade mechanic and UI synergy. but target of the jade druid is not agro decks anymore. They will target combo-control decks. Maybe jade druid will use dirty rat, generate a lot of armor or even use naturalize to mill them. I hope there are more decks from class like rogue, warlock, hunter in competitive play
If the nerf works as blizzard intents to be, Priest might be the new To tier deck, but it will have to deal with Hunters, Rogues and other control decks so it might be checked, but if the nerf fails, then Priest will be the new Druid. Fingers crossed.
The major issue I see with Priest is that it has become too easy to play. Priest has consistently been a "tricky" class, and the more modern priest decks take a lot of that away.
Big Priest is obviously pretty easy to pilot - keep controlling the board with spells until you get your Barnes and your Shadow Essence, and hope you've lasted long enough that you don't just get run down. It's not unbeatable - aggro can overrun them if they don't get the right draws, and polymorph and bounce effects go a long way to beating them down. It feels bad to lose to it when you don't draw your answers, but it's beatable.
Razakus Priest is traditionally considered a hard deck to pilot, and obviously there's a lot that goes into rationing your removal spells when you only have one of each. That said, one of my major concerns about it is that the most recent versions are hyper-streamlined for tons of drawing to reach the only two cards in the deck that ever seem to matter anymore (Raza the Chained and Shadowreaper Anduin). This has, in my mind, two major negatives:
It's much easier to pilot than previous, more interactive Highlander Priest decks. Today's versions just keep playing draw and AOE until they get the combo and win.
It's a very linear form of gameplay that just ends up being kind of boring for both players after a while
I'm not sure there's much to be done about either of those. Major changes to the effects of either of the key cards in that deck would be devastating, and the only thing adjustments to card cost would do is slow it down, neither of which make it more fun.

It's powerful right now while still feeling fair. I think it's actually exactly where classes should be to have the balance between fair and fun.
I beat plenty of DK and big priests with a variety of classes and decks.
Priest is broken for about ~90% of players. Maybe the top 10% can deal with them, but if you aren't using Druid you have a slim margin to win other than a good aggro draw
Priest is not op I think, just very powerful in this current meta, and it won't skyrocket that much after the nerfs go live in my opinion.
However it surely is annoying and unfun to play against as it is now, in both forms.
priest aint broken. A year agro Priest was in its one of it worse spots and now priest is better people want it to be changed. I feel like the meta is full of MUCH more broken decks than priest atm.
