Either Loot Hoarder or Kobold, I personally would choose Loot because I think card draw is a bit more important in Freeze Mage. However, if you're serious about playing this deck, you should get Bloodmage as soon as you can.
card draw is definately more important. So either go for loot hoarder, or if you already run them get an azure drake or antique healbot in there. Really depends on the slight deck variations you may run.

The 2/1 body over the 1/1 body really doesn't matter to freeze mage, and I know that *I* happily will silence a Bloodmage Thalnos or Loot Hoarder once I realize it's freeze mage (which either is a pretty big tip off) - the only other real targets are Doomsayer and Mad Scientist but honestly, if my Keeper or Owl is doing a "Battlecry: Deny Freezemage an extra draw" I feel it's good value.

The point of Loot Hoarder over Novice Engineer is that the Hoarder has the ability to trade with 2 drops, while a 1/1 engineer just sits there doing nothing. In the earlier days some people actually goes into the argument about if it is right to include Kobold Geomancer instead of Bloodmage Thalnos, and the argument is that the Kobold has 2 power and can actually contest the board in the early game, unlike the Bloodmage, or the engineer. 2 power combined with Hero Power can actually threatens to kill a 4 drop (*cough* Piloted Shredder *cough*).
Also, if you opted to silence the Loot Hoarder, then you are missing out a silver bullet on the later Doomsayer or Archmage Antonidas, or maybe even a Malygos. Also, Freeze mage is not Grim Patron Warrior, in that GP wants to cycle as fast as he can, and then combo out, while Freeze mage will happily play the fatigue game with you. So silencing Loot Hoarder is not as crippling as you may think.

Those are fair points but I don't often see Loot Hoarder doing much work to contest the board. There aren't many decks that won't be able to kill the hoarder nor care to use removal on a 2/1 against a deck nearly devoid of other minions.
The only other minions in the deck worth silencing are Doomsayer and Acolyte of Pain. If you're trying to silence Antonidas you've already lost unless the opponent is really awful at freeze mage. I've never seen Malygos in freezemage, but again I'm trying to have won versus freeze mage at the point Malygos has become relevant. I think limiting card draw is the key there, just like versus Patron warrior. If you want to beat combo, make them have to regularly draw what they need naturally. If they do you're likely not winning anyway, but if they don't you faceroll them.
So I kind of want to build a freeze mage, since I've always had it in the back of my mind, and the meta now seems to do well with it.
Bloodmage Thalnos replacements?
EDIT: Any good freeze mage lists you guys have been using? I dunno about the one on Tempostorm...
Kobold Geomancer.

I've been using this till last week but I had to switch to Dragon Priest cause of I kept running into CW,Flare Hunter and Druid......

on the slower end of the spectrum, azure drake is another one i would consider, but it is a tad slow.

Loot hoarder.
You're win condition is alextraza him to 15 and then do any combo of fireballs, frostbolts and ice lances. Spell damage is usually is not important.
.
Loot Hoarder. Not Kobald Geomancer. The draw is more important than the Spell Damage.
I don't really think it's even Loot Hoarder - I think Novice Engineer is actually better.
