I just wanted to know if you guys are getting Dreadscale from the build-a-beast hero power whether it's 1st option or 2nd and if you do then how often ?
I've been playing a lot with hunter pre-nerf and post-nerf (30+ games) but not once did I get it ,and since I'm laddering I need him for when facing Warlock's ressurrect big boards .
I would understand it if it had a lower drop rate than other minions since it would be broken otherwise ,but in case of other legendary beasts (Mukla ,Princess Huhuran..etc) ,they seem to have a higher chance of appearing than Dreadscale (which is fine).
I just want to know if I'm unlucky or there is data or experience to back it up ,not calling for a change or nerf and not salty for not getting it against Warlocks (since a deck shouldn't be so dependent on one card)
Hmmmm... It's about as common as any other beast, as far as I can tell.
How often do I select it? Pretty much any time I see it, unless I already have a dread+poisonous combo already in my hand, since I like having just an extra auto board clear just in case.
I get Scalehide fairly regularly from Rexxar myself. Whether I pick it is a different matter - situational.
But it's definitely there - I literally just played a game where I had to choose between him or the Boar.
Corrected a mistake ,it's Dreadscale .
Ahh! I dont remember seeing him since before Witchwood, but seeing that he is from the Grand Tournament set, I would imagine we will not see him in there again. (As he has rotated out)
As for Wild however, I've not played Hunter much there, so don't know if all beasts from all sets are available there.

I mean it's not that much but at certain long games I use the hero power 10 times and in others I don't play Rexxar at all ,so assuming the average of zombeasts I build every game is 2 ,then that makes it around 50 times at least (higher if you do the maths (60) and increase the average of HP every game) where I didn't get Dreadscale as an option out of 6.
I've seen it once, combined it with Giant Wasp and it single-handedly won me a game against a big priest who had already used his mass dispel. Any resurrected minions just got killed off next turn. He gave up after a while.

Beasts are divided into two groups. The second option picks are beasts with either keywords only or no text. Everything else is grouped with the first picks. All beasts have an equal chance of being offered in their group; unlike in discover, there's no difference between class cards and neutrals. There's no such thing as beasts having artificially adjusted drop rates (however there is a small list of excluded beasts that have 0% chance of appearing. Don't worry, Dreadscale isn't on it)
Being a card with complex card text, Dreadscale can only be offered in the first pick and has an equal chance of being offered as any other card in the first pool such as Mukla or Huhuran. If your experiences are contrary, it's because they are purely anecdotal. 30 games is not "a lot" when it comes to making statistical conclusions
It's no surprise you're having trouble finding specific beasts though. The wild pool is bigger than the standard one, so you're much less likely to find exactly what you're looking for

Thank you for clarifying ,although weird thing is that I got Mukla, Huhuran,Arfus,Subject9 and Knuckles multiple times as an option whereas Dreadscale not once . I have played even more with the same deck (spell hunter) after posting this thread (about 15 games) and still didn't get Dreadscale as an option ,I know it's not indicative of anything statistically (45 games) but it seems to me as if he has a lower drop rate than other beasts (whether legendary or not) ,but now I know he has 1/2 the chances of appearing since it's 3 choices not 6 ,that and the fact it is a legendary beast might go together telling us why he has such a low chance of appearing .

Being legendary has nothing to do with it. He should have the same chance of appearing as Alleycat
I suppose it's possible he's been added to the list of banned beasts sometime during the last two expansions because the resulting zombeasts sometimes aren't exactly interactive and can also showcase a game mechanic inconsistency. The last time I knew for a fact he wasn't on the list was back in WW or K&C. It would seem unlikely for blizzard to bother tinkering with such a fringe thing however
Dreadscale is not a card currently in standard rotation, given that you're playing Secret Hunter, I assume you're playing standard. So your chances of finding that particular boy are about as low as they get.

Dude, this thread is in the wild section of the forums and OP mentions getting offered other beasts from the wild pool. Maybe read a bit of the posts next time ;) And just because secret hunter is a thing in standard doesn't mean wild versions can't exist. Cloaked Huntress is a card, after all

Your username vs avatar discrepancy bothers my inner-Brony... XD

I have made Dreadscale Zombeast quite a few times in Brawl, never bothered in Wild though.
Is rare, in dungeon runs i can use it to build a beast when i play the Hunter DK, could it be a ladder bug? or just really bad luck

I can say I've never seen a Dreadscale from Rexxar O_o
