I have not seen the new priests, but the new Zoo decks seem to be easier to beat now that they are trying deathrattle synergy. Adding a bunch of worse cards to make 1 card work seems bad for them in this matchup. Then again it could just be that they need to do more tuning.
One other note, I decided to pull 1 tracking to add in the second flare. I figure if nothing else right now a lot of people are experimenting with the Mad Scientist so it's more help now than normal. We'll have to see how the meta shakes out in the next few days.

Is this happening in ranked?
Im stuck in rank 3 right now and I have seen at least 3 people with traps hunter.
Thinking of trying this deck although I do not have a Highmane. Do you have any other good substitutes ?
It'll be hard to make this work without highmanes as it's one of the best cards in the deck for the late game. Without those you may want to go more aggressive because Core Hound (the closest beast in terms of stats) just doesnt cut it. The Deathrattle on Highmane is what really makes it good.
Great deck! What would be the best way to incorporate a snake trap into it? I got the card today and I think it may have great synergy with buzzard and hyena! Do the snakes procc the buzzard?
I am starting to think Leeroy might be a good add in. I played 3 games this morning at rank 3 and all 3 were trapper hunter. The only one I lost was when my opponent Leeroy'd.
I don't think Leeroy has much business here. This deck isn't hyper aggressive enough to warrant it. Really the only legendary that I've subbed out for and liked is Loatheb in place of the Kodo.
Today I keep loosing, went from rank 15 to 17. All I face are hunters, warlocks and priests. I really hate the latter. They steel cards and minions, I can play as good as I want, in the end I am out of cards and they beat me with my own cards and minions doubling health from the stolen, taunting nightmane and then giving attack for health. One priest buffed my nightmane to 28 attack, lol. It is just frustrating!
Anyhow, what do you think about my deck? Is there something crucial I overlooked and which I should change?
Flare is very important IMO, annoys miracle rogues, can make the difference between winning or losing vs mage/hunter/pally and provides a 1 mana card draw in other situations.
I ended up doing -boar -snapjaw +owl +loatheb, we'll see how it performs once I play it some more..
the last days a lot happened in the Hunter meta with Mad Scientist appearing in Hunter lists. I think this list is still strong and favored facing those "Mad Trappers".
If you face them a lot I would suggest the following meta techs (on top of my personal changelog):
I've been playing around with a Mad Scientist/Traps build the past few days. It's definitely fun, and can be absolutely devastating with the right draw. But honestly, I still prefer this deck. The trapper build is just a little more inconsistent IMHO (if you don't get the Eaglehorn Bows early enough it can be awful). The biggest reason for me personally, however, is that this deck just fits my play style a little better. The Trapper decks need to be played much more aggressively, while I much prefer more control oriented decks. Also, head-to head this deck tends to tear the trapper decks apart... especially if you slot in another Flare.
I think it just comes down to how you prefer to play, at least in my experience so far.
I totally Agree Loyal, I have been playing 2 flares since the scientist came out and it definitely gives me the edge in the hunter matchup. Also oddly enough I notice a lot of the time the player with the coin wins and often it's the second player to Unleash not the first that wins.
A lot of the time the hyena is hard to use as more than just a 2/2 or it just pulls removal right away. Dire Wolf give you an extra option for getting more damage on the Hounds combo turn and works well with creeper tokens. It's kind of a hedge move... sometimes Hyena is better and sometimes the Wolf is better so we run one of each and hope to have the right one.

I didn't see a trap yesterday from rank 5-4 NA.

Thanks appreciate the advice and can craft some Highmane's having Nax cards was considering Sludge Belcher or Maexxna .

Any thoughts on these moves?
-timber +owl
-tracking (or snapjaw) +loatheb (or leeroy as finisher/UTH combo)

So i modified this deck a bit: http://i.imgur.com/s5hACcR.jpg

Thanks! I am just missing flare from the original deck. How important is it? Don't really know if it is worth crafting since I am short on dust!

Faced a murloc zoo today, it was pretty disgusting :D
Hey everybody,
the last days a lot happened in the Hunter meta with Mad Scientist appearing in Hunter lists. I think this list is still strong and favored facing those "Mad Trappers".
If you face them a lot I would suggest the following meta techs (on top of my personal changelog):
- 1x Haunted Creeper
- 1x Dire Wolf Alpha
+ 1x Flare
+ 1x River Crocolisk

Just wanted to post a quick update. I just made legendary on the NA server last night. With this deck list:
